Having the tour guide, Ivo, offer plenty of history and information/guidence on the bus was great!
Being able to explore the attractions/monuments how we wanted to was also very fun.
Super easy program to follow and plenty of freedom to enjoy things how we want!

I highly recommend this tour. As a family we could have not been happier with the tour guide. He was knowledgeable and his energy was contagious.

I recently had the pleasure of exploring the enchanting town of Sintra, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the stunning architecture to the lush landscapes, every moment was filled with wonder.
Pena Palace is a must-visit. The intricate details and the panoramic views from the top were breathtaking. I spent lots of time just wandering through the gardens and taking photos.
Quinta da Regaleira has mystical gardens and the Initiation Well were unlike anything I've seen before. The symbolism and artistry behind every corner made it feel like stepping into a fairy tale.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Sintra's history. This is his first day with this tour company. Job well done!

This is an outing as opposed to an educational experience. We would have enjoyed learning more about the history of what we were seeing and fewer old myths and silly stories. That said, Ivo and Philp managed the group, our timetable and the bus expertly. Be aware that there are long steep, challenging walks at both palaces. Lunch break was not until after 2pm so we were glad we had our own snacks. There is no needed to go to Cascais and drive in a subdivision to a beachfront. It could happily be dropped from the day.

J-LO WAS TOO FUNNY!! Made the tour very funny and entertaining.
Try to get him as your guide!
The tour was for most of the day and very narrative. J-Lo made it funnier. Would definitely do it again!

Meet up was easy to find. We had a large group of 25 so we took a charter bus. We left 20 minutes late because there was some miscommunication with Paolo and the bus driver. Throughout the drive Paolo would provide information on scenery and history of places. It was about a 35 minute drive to Pena Palace. You spend about an hour and a half there roaming as you wish. If you only get tickets to the exterior terraces it’s only enough time to explore the immediate surroundings of Pena Palace because the lakes and most gardens are too far to explore. We pretty much only were with Paolo for the drive and the Steps of Regaleira. So you’re free to roam as you wish throughout each stop just be at the meetup point on time. It’s a lot of walking uphill/downhill so definitely wear comfy shoes, travel light, and have water/snacks. There is enough time at Caiscais to sit down and eat if you wish. Overall you see a lot in one day whereas you normally wouldn’t by train or on your own.
