A personal wine tour to remember

Miguel was exceptional as an English speaking tour guide - lots of insights about the region and its history, and even a geology stop for the geoscientist in our group. Wonderful Experience!

We booked the afternoon tour so that we could have an earlier dinner ahead of our early morning the next day. Pedro and Pedro were a fantastic team. They were highly attentive and great at making us comfortable and the experience very enjoyable. They were full of history and we learned so much (and saved our legs from a trip to Belem and sites in that area). I highly recommend, especially if it is your first time to Lisbon and you have limited time like us!

Excellent afternoon activity in Setubal!

Pedro was absolutely delightful. He was everything you would want in a tour guide - very knowledgeable and accommodating- while having such an attitude and disposition. We had a wonderful time with him and at each of the vineyards. The staff and grounds of each were immaculate and the tours were so well done. We enjoyed everything from start to finish! Nuno Gomes was a wonderful tour guide. He's a Lisbon native and knows the city like the back of his hand. The details and historical facts he told me throughout our tour were fascinating. I asked for some specific places and things I wanted to see and he was extremely accommodating. I highly recommend a tour with Nuno, especially if this is your first time in the city. It will give you a much better idea of where to go and what to do.

Lovely trip, Manuel is...

Lovely trip, Manuel is super knowledgeable and his English is great, making the journey interesting and obviously very beautiful. The wine was delicious, a Vinho Verde. My only issue is the snacks were slightly disappointing. We had some chorizo slices, cheese slices and crackers. They were nice but for the price, I would have potentially liked a range of cheese and meats.

Wonderful food tour!

This was a fantastic food tour- Rui was a wonderful guide and the food was all so delicious including the best Bacalhau à Brás I have had in Portugal! The quantity of food is quite a lot so make sure you are prepared to feast, this is not just a food tour with tiny samples, which was a very welcome surprise. Rui amazed us all by remembering the names of everyone on the tour and we became almost like a little family! We booked this tour last minute because our plans to go to Sintra got cancelled but it became one of the highlights of our trip. We got to know all the other guests on the trip and it nearly felt like a family in the end with us exchanging contacts and hoping to keep in touch. Thank you to Rui for facilitating such a wonderful experience!

Seeing parts of the...

Seeing parts of the country is the main purpose of this but Tomas, our guide, made the trip more memorable. He knew a wide range of subjects so the discussion was engaging. We had great tour mates who also kept the conversation flowing. P.S. The wine bottles we bought at the 2 vineyards survived 2 plane rides (a total of 16 hours flight time) and arrived intact.

Great day in the countryside, exploring wine and history!

This was a private tour that met all expectations. Two unique and different wineries plus a tasting at a spot in one of the rows that gave a great variety. John very knowledgeable and hospitable. The snack plate at the 2nd winery was enough to satisfy with local meats and cheeses plus great wines. If you are looking for some time outside of Lisbon this is a great day with very personal attention. Appreciated all John’s efforts, he was a great guide! Wines were lovely!

Excellent well informed trip to the Alfama area. My wife felt intimidated by the hills & has not ridden an ebike before. Good trip , good value.

The departure point of the trip changed but the vendor kept us fully informed. The trip was enjoyed by all in our party and the wine offered was pretty tasty too. The PA system was not working on the boat , so no commentary during the trip but that did not bother our party . All in all , worth the money. We had a great sunset too.

Lisbon Riders is great!! We would book more tours with them.

When you read reviews you don’t really get a sense of the tour company. I wish we’d had tours with Lisbon Riders - and our guide Kat! - earlier on in our visit because we would have booked all our tours with them! They were excellent. Our guide Kat was incredible- so knowledgeable, fun, easy going, and we had such a great day.
