Good experience.
It was a lovely experience. The tour really expanded our perspective, everything is so much better when you actually understand what you're looking at. Renan was an amazing guide: knowledgeable, funny, and kept us thoroughly engaged. The time flew by. Highly recommended!

Fun and outstanding Guide
Sara offered us an incredible tour through the University and Joanina Library. Her pace, seamless entries and in-depth information was simply outstanding! To be guided by a proud ex student is an invaluable experience, as you get the best insight of all the traditions and campus life from the historical times right up to the present. We thoroughly enjoyed being guided through this Stunning University. Thank you Sara for hosting us with such enthusiasm. Chanel and Menanteau

A great outing
Monica was very knowledgeable and really made the history come alive. Despite the castle being closed and ongoing renovations within the convent, she managed to keep our interest peaked. After the tour she suggested some good spots to further explore. Recommended.

Extremely informative
The tour lasted 3 hours, so wear comfortable shoes . There’s a few hills, so make sure you can handle inclines. Our guide Enildo was very informative and professional. He walked at a comfortable pace and shared so many facts about Fatima and the three shepherds. Details were shared about the homes and countryside, trees, and food. We learned so many new facts that we never knew. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent afternoon in the schists!
Gorgeous landscapes up in the mountains near Coimbra! Alfredo was an informed and pleasant guide who drove us the whole way, talking to us about the land, people, recent fire, how the villages are being transformed, etc. Definitely wear good outdoor shoes (not sandals) to climb all the staircases (as many or little as you want) to explore the winding pathways of the villages. We stopped in a little cafe up there, also at an artists shoppe, and were completely on time of four hours. Excellent pictures taken and a reprieve from the museums, buildings, traffic, tourists in town. Lovely!

Excellent Tour - Must do
Renan is a passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly guide that provided a detailed overview of the history of Portugal, Coimbra, the University, and insights into the monument itself. Our group of four had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent introduction to Coimbra
Jose was a fantastic guide! So knowledgeable, with a great energy and sense of humor. He shared stories and information that everyone on the tour — from kids to seniors — could appreciate. We covered all of the main sites at a steady pace, stopping for photos along the way. Also gave a lot of valuable recommendations for restaurants and other sites to visit.
