What are people saying about San Francisco

I traveled with two teens.....
A long day, but well worth it! I traveled with two teens and there were no complaints, which says a lot! The drive in and out are broken up with meal/supply/bathroom breaks so you get enough time to stretch your legs. The towns our driver, Glenda, stopped in were clean and had great food options. The bus company we got was Extranomical, and the bus itself was clean with slightly reclining leather seats, and had overhead storage for your bags or food purchase. We saw all the highlights and had plenty of time for photos. My kids really enjoyed the two longer breaks where they got to explore Yosemite Falls and the Sequoias on their own. They liked climbing up the rocks to the bottom of the waterfall and dipping their feet in. I was definitely sucking some wind on the way back up from the Sequoias, but it was worth it - take water and plan for breaks on the way up if you're not in "hiking uphill for 30 minutes at elevation" shape! Our driver, Glenda, was amazing and had entertaining/informative stories about the Yosemite area and the gold rush which helps take your mind off the time left on the drive. She was great about keeping us on schedule which isn't easy in a group of 26 people ranging from their teens to their 70s. I am really glad I decided to book this, especially with my kids, you just never know when/if they'll have the chance to experience these types of places later in their lives.

It’s a long day, but a great trip. Our driver, Robert, was wonderful. He was energetic and served us water and snacks during the day. We stopped at beautiful overlooks with time for photos and bathroom breaks. Robert explained each stop and narrated other details of the area while driving. We had a lunch break in Monterey and my family and I were able to go to the aquarium during this break. We bought the aquarium tickets ahead of time. Highly recommend!

This is an auto narrated trip. You can get some spectacular views of the Golden Gate and Bay bridges you'd only see off from the bay. The timing of this 1.5 tour was a perfect way to spend some time before heading off to a nice lunch or dinner. It's a great way to break up your day if you're interested in a view of the city by boat. It really put the layout of the city into perspective.

the vehicle taken was very nice, spacious, clean. The tourists were able to see out of the windows. Our driver was very alert to her driving. We felt safe. Anya was very welcoming to the tourists, made learned our names right away and asked where we were from. Made us feel comfortable and eager to begin the trip. Anya was well received in explaining CA information as we went along on the tour. I thought she was delightful and interesting. The time at Muir Woods was wonderful, we had enough time to walk through the whole park. Our time in Sausalito was not long enough, but we did have time to eat lunch and walk around a bit.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

A small peninsula in the middle of the California coast, San Francisco makes a strategic base camp for exploring Northern California and the Central Coast. See some of the Golden State's most iconic attractions by embarking on guided day trips from San Francisco, traveling to such destinations as California's wine country, redwood forests, national parks, and the coastal cities of Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Not only do these tours take care of all the planning and driving, but they can include packages with wine tastings, lunch, and dinners. Some even combine trips to two, three, or more attractions in one day.
