All La Jolla Tours & Excursions in 2026

Went on this sailing tour with Captain Ryan for our 4 year wedding anniversary and had the time of our lives! It best our wildest expectations with sea lions and up close up with dolphins! Ryan had beverages on board, explained everything we needed to know in simple terms, then took us on what can only be described as the sports car of cstermarans, we were flying down the bay, yet the boat felt so stable and it was easy to stand up. What really added an even better experience was that Ryan really knew the and answer to every question we threw his way from Portuguese history in the area to what the naval base was up to and lots of landmarks. And his knowledge of sailing is immense. Can't wait to go again!

This was the coolest experience from my trip to San Diego. I will note we had 77 degree sunny weather the day we went and the waters were pretty still. I think this really helped make our experience as great as it was. I am by no means athletic and I had a slight fear of the ocean. And I was able to do this tour. Our tour guides were Brodie and Ryan and they were incredibly knowledgeable, they did a good job at helping everyone, and were pretty funny. We definitely appreciated having them as our tour guide pair. The experience was scheduled to be approximately 1 1/2 hours but it lasted closer to 2 hours, which was perfectly fine with us. We got to see leopard sharks, sea lions, and plenty of other small fish. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for something fun to do.

This was an amazing experience! Granger and Krystal were so friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. We would not have known how to get to the slot canyons without them. Some parts were more challenging but manageable. The views were incredible. A must do if visiting the area!

Chase was very knowledgeable about the tour. Snacks and water was provided. A thorough understanding of the e-bike functionality was provided. The E-bikes make it so easy! Weather was great and only the three of us to get the most out of it. A perfect Tour! Thx Chase and team!

It was an amazing experience! Sebastian and Magdalena were fantastic, super friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the marine life. They made the kayak tour so much fun, and we got to see beautiful views and wildlife along the way. Everything felt safe and well organized. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great outdoor adventure!

Had an amazing experience with Jayne. She was very informative and made sure I had a great time. She also helped me release a muscle cramp - once again, thank you for that! :) The tour took place in late September and the visibility was great. I had a 7 mm wetsuit on which was perfect for approx. 67 F water temperature - I didn’t feel any cold and felt like I could stay in the water for hours. We saw a cute horn shark, lots of Garibaldis, a sheephead, and lots of other fish. We also visited a few caves, but the main highlight of the tour for me were the sea lions. It was amazing to see them swim around. The adults tend to keep their distance, but be prepared that a curious and playful pup might come really close to check you out :) Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be back! We had a great time! We've done a lot of activities and several weekend trips to San Diego but had never gone sailing. It was almost a private experience since there happened to only be 4 of us there for that trip (could have been 6, which is still not bad at all). We apparently had the best sail of the day! We got to learn some about the area and got out far on the water. I was nervous about potential seasickness (being on a medication where I sometimes have nausea issues). I was wearing cheap seasick bands but didn't have any issues. Enjoyed music, drinks, and a relaxing ride at 11am. Definitely worth the money!

This was a fabulous experience. My husband does not practice yoga but enjoyed the practice and was surprised at what his large stature was able to do when Cathy directed us into some partner poses. The optional lavendar forehead and temple massage was a perfect ending. It was the beach yoga practice I was looking for, for sure! Cathy stayed in communication before, and even sent photos after. We have literally no complaints.
