This is a great laid-back type of day excursion. My group had a great tour guide, Derek, who made the experience really enjoyable as well as allow us to be independent in the type of things we wanted to see at Muir Woods and Sausalito. He gave some great suggestions and allowed us to explore at our own paces which I really appreciated. The Muir Woods was an incredible site, I think if you’re in the Bay Area you must see these trees. It’s truly awe striking.
Definitely take this trip. Our driver, Dustin, was very knowledgeably and funny. Thanks Dustin for a great experience.
Judith was an amazing guide. She brings the peninsula, the Golden Gate and the cities to life through her storytelling and weaves in elements of the past to present history seamlessly. She also gives great tips to make the most of each stops, takes the time to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable and goes the extra mile to ensure a perfect experience for all.

Not good. Reserved van for 10 person private tour, but others were added to the group and therefore the van could not accommodate our needs.

Very Nice tour 😊 definitely recommend if you’re looking for something nature based. Muir Woods are simple but beautiful. Definitely get to enjoy and breathe fresh air.

Very nice day out. Muir Woods is beautiful. Only downside is that we did not have much time in Sausalito, about 45-50 minites as we had to leave to get people onto their Alcatraz ferry. Not enough time for us to relax and get a snack or see any of the town

The tour was well worth the money spent. As a solo traveler, it more than covered the cost and planning of seeing Muir Woods and Sausalito on my own. There were a couple of other solo people on the tour as well. I mentioned this only because sometimes that can be a little intimidating if you’re traveling by yourself. Dustin was a knowledgeable and attentive guide. The pick up and drop off for the tour was seamless.

Muir Woods was beautiful and well worth the trip. What made it better was the small van tour with Ben who was incredibly knowledgeable and even funny. You could tell he knows the city and offered information of interest, but also knew the answer to so many questions about the area and history. I felt safe with his driving, too. The stop at Sausalito was a nice touch, too. We have amazing photos thanks to Ben”/ knowledge of picturesque places!

Overall a great trip. The Muir Woods weee beautiful but Sausalito downtown was too crowded, I wish we could have spent more time in Muir Woods. Ben our driver/ guide was great.

Pick up was prompt, a nice van picked us up at Pier 33 driven by Ben who was a great guide. The first stop was a nice park on the opposite side of the Golden Gate Bridge from SF where the view of the bay and the city was pretty spectacular. Then we went on to Muir Woods National Monument where we had about 70 minutes to explore. There's a loop you can do that's a few miles that even someone of below average health could accomplish (the normal trail to Bridge 4 then the hillside trail which brings you back close to where you started). Finally we explored Sausalito and had time to grab a late lunch. Both Ben's driving and narration were great. This was well worth the price. We avoided the hassle of having to rent a car and park it everywhere we wanted to go (which is a pain, Muir Woods requires a parking reservation, for instance), and as a bonus we got a local's perspective of San Francisco and some history lessons.

The goal was John Muir but making a half day of it with Golden Bridge stop and lunch in Sausalido was magical. We would never have done this on our own

Great views and tour driver was great forest was gorgeous very peaceful. They were doing some maintenance but it was still enjoyable

Pick up went smoothly although we had not been given information about what kind of vehicle to be watching for at a crowded area Pier 33 at Fisherman’s Wharf. Judith seems to enjoy her job as driver and guide. Adequate time at Muir Woods and Sausalito. Highlight might have been the extra stop Judith made at overlook with beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. Muir Woods was great!

I booked a trip just muir woods and saulsalito and they put me in a group that goes also to alcatraz.
The driver just left me in the pier instead of bringing me back to the pick up location! He wasted my time here in San Francisco. :(
Muir Woods is worth seeing. The forest is an amazing phenomenon. It is clean and well taken care of by the city.

Our tour guide was over opinionated and really detracted from our day. He was constantly talking down millionaires and billionaires without any thought to the financial circumstances of his passengers - a really negative outlook was unnecessary. He also knowingly left two passengers behind at our last stop, without even waiting a single minute for them to make it to the bus.

Great trip. Def could go back for more time in Muir Woods, but great to experience. Sausalito was very nice as well.
Perhaps if there was an option for people who didn’t plan to do Alcatraz, that would’ve been nice so there could have been an option to stay longer in Muir Woods.

Our GT trip for this year SFO thst included the Muir Woods /Sausalito tour was great!! To see the Redwoods in person was amazing!, Roman our tour driver was soo great full of information, helpful tips & funny. If you want to request driver he is one to request. 😊.. only downside to tour I would suggest adding 30/45 mins to time in Sausalito customers would ❤️ it!, Happy & safe travels to all!.. It’s short and sweet. Just a bit of the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods & Sausalito. I would say I needed a bit more time in Sausalito/ and it was an option that I declined.
The guide was knowledgeable about all the sites and included additional fun or interesting facts.
