Tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Although the weather was not ideal, the guide nevertheless knew the best areas to ensure views of whales, sea lions and a bonus brown bear with her cubs. Boat was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Riley, is a local resident and not only was very knowledgeable about the points of interest, but shared with us some insights about growing up and living there. We appreciate the work that the raptor center and Fortress of the Bear do to help the animals in Alaska. Very interesting.

One of the best experiences ever!

Captain Brad Wheeler of Sitka Nautical Tours went above and beyond to provide a fantastic tour. Our cruise ship was delayed in docking at Sitka by more than an hour on a short stop in Sitka - Captain Brad waited for us right by our dock so we could make our excursion. His well equipped boat hosts ups to 6 passengers which made it extra special. He took us to four different spots to view wildlife. We saw the cutest group of otters just floating about, stopped at a place where we were surrounded by a pod of about 8 humpback whales - a couple came so close to our boat we could have reached out and touched them. Got to see a nice group of lazy sea lions and many bald eagles. If you visit Sitka around end of July/beginning August captain said we would have had a better chance of seeing bears by the salmon hatchery he took us to. We asked for a good lunch spot suggestion, he did not steer us wrong by sending us to the Mean Queen - great pizza and bar food - nice view of the harbor - busy spot so expect to wait awhile for food.

We had a great trip with...

We had a great trip with Brody - first a Stellar sea lion, then a bald eagle, followed by 45 minutes surrounded by humpbacks giving us lots of tail fluke shots, and then watching the otters drifting in the kelp. Trip was rounded off with a visit from some Harbour porpoises. Brody was able to tell us a lot about the wildlife in Sica and was a great guide for the day.

Great trip.

Wonderful tour of Sitka with our guide. She was very knowledgable being a local and told us lots of information about the island. The tour of the Fortress of the Bears was a highlight of the tour but we also saw the salmon in the river and a bald eagle nest and some totem poles.

EBiking is a great way to see Sitka. Highly recommend!

Our Sitka ebike rental was great! The bikes were in great condition and easy to handle. We were giving a map of the area and really good suggestions with where to ride and where to avoid riding. We had a lovely ride up to Blue Lake. Great experience. Would highly recommend!

Great Experience

The people were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to pick up early and keep until we had to get back on ship. They let us rent bear spray from them. Very informative and suggested places to go. Enjoyed this more than our other jeep rental through cruise line. Definitely recommend the Sitka Jeep rental!!!

Best part of our cruise.

Highlight of our Alaskan cruise. Our guides welcomed us onboard and within 20 minutes we saw a humpback whale breach and probably a dozen other whales. More otters than you can believe along with sea lions and many other critters. Our guides were excited to be there as much as we were and also provided a ton of information about wildlife and the area. Worth every penny for sure.

A fast Pace Tour with Calm Energy!

We were a family of 10, so we had the van to ourselves! Inga was born and raised in Sitka making her a wealth of knowledge for the area. She took us to all the highlights and answered all the questions! We hustled to see it all in the time we had but she made it a very calming and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend Inga!
