Come for the wine, stay for Jeffrey (and the 2-hour lunch)

If you’re looking for a tour where someone just points at buildings and reads from a laminated script, this isn’t it. We spent the day with Dylan’s Tours, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire San Francisco trip. A massive shout-out to our host, Jeffrey. Look, I know these guys are professionals and it’s literally his job to make sure we don’t get bored, but Jeffrey is the real deal. He’s incredibly funny and articulate, but more importantly, he actually seemed to care that we were having a good time. It didn’t feel like a transaction; it felt like a day out with a very knowledgeable (and much funnier) friend. A few things that made the day for us: The Pacing: Jeffrey nailed it. We never felt rushed. Having a full two hours for lunch was a stroke of genius—it meant we could actually taste our food and talk to the other guests rather than inhaling a sandwich on a moving bus. The Balance: He was great at making everyone feel included, but he also knew exactly when to disappear into the background so we could explore the two wineries at our own pace. The Value: I’ll be honest, it’s not a "budget" day out, but you absolutely get what you pay for. By the end of the trip, the whole group was in high spirits (perhaps the wine helped, but the atmosphere Jeffrey created was the real catalyst). If you’re on the fence because of the price, just book it. It’s worth every penny for a day that feels this well-curated and genuine. Jeffrey—if you’re reading this, thanks for a meaningfully great day. You’re a legend.

Marc, our guide for the day, added so much to the experience. He was attentive, funny, and so informative. From history of the San Francisco area to wine industry in Sonoma and Napa, we learned a lot. The small family wine makers spent time with us, allowing us to really learn about their wines, and enjoy them. The personal touch was something we haven’t gotten at some of the larger wineries. Shout out to the friends we made spending a fun day on this tour!

Tour expects 20% tip as a standard. Great guide and tour of Sonoma. Couldn’t expect more. Just don’t throw large placard on the front visor telling me what to tip before we even get underway. If it’s expected than build it into price and I’d probably tip anyway

Great Day!!

This was a great way to see the wineries and not worry about driving. We were picked up on time right out front of our hotel and dropped off at the end of the day. wonderful historical and geographical narration along the way, amazing wines at boutique Ru Vango Winery in Napa) had to ship a case home😉! Sonoma square had cute shops, museum and wide choice of restaurants. We enjoyed back courtyard and delicious lunch at Sunflower Caffe. Second winery in Donoma was beautiful but enjoyed first wines more. Barry was a great driver, guide, comedian, showman, historian and wealth of information. He made the day very entertaining and memorable as well as safe. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing Driver and Winery Suggestions

We booked them to give us a private winery tour in Napa and Sonoma valley for our friend's retirement celebration. From pickup, Dean, our driver was amazing. He even made a stop/drive so we could see the Golden Gate bridge, Palace of Fine Arts and Presidio which turned out to be perfect since we couldn't see them the next day with Formula One blockage and traffic. They gave us amazing itinerary suggestions and we picked 3 amazing wineries from their lists with each were equally unique from each other. Dean was so professional and provided us with services above and beyond what our expectations. It was totally worth what we paid for! Can't thank Dean and this company for such amazing services.

Best experience on Treasure Island!

The location is a beautiful art deco building that has been converted into a the parking lot hosts a stunning view of San Francisco. Nick our bartender and class teacher was amazing! The entire experience was a lot of fun, thanks to Nick. We made (3) full cocktails: whisky sour, paper plane and an old fashioned. Nick gave the right amount of information so we could be more confident in making beautiful and tasty cocktails. He gave us all the tools to understand how to use the various bar ware items. This was a great experience and I highly recommend. My tip is to appoint a designated driver as the drinks pack a punch!

Perfect for group of 8 for day of wine tasting

We had an absolutely amazing day thanks to our driver Carlos. Before our trip, communicating our plans was easy and we got great recommendations for lunch. On the day of the reservation, Carlos was friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and a good driver. The van that came for us was clean and stocked with water. It was large enough to fit 8 adults comfortably, and we were easily able to connect to the Bluetooth music system and adjust the temp. We spent the day visiting two wineries with lunch and coffee in between. Highly recommend!

Amazing day trip with Caio from Painted Ladies tour group visiting the wine region. Travelling in an old camper van with 70s vibe painted within and music played.. Rugged up and ready to roam.. Outstanding Wine Tour

We had trouble getting off the cruise ship because of immigration delays and our driver Dean couldn’t have been more understanding or accommodating. Dean provided detailed information about the areas we drove through or visited and entertained us with witty stories. Dean was courteous, professional and took us on a side treat to show one of our friends Lombard St in San Francisco as she had only seen it in movies. Highly recommend. The tour operator was easy to work with to set up our selected wineries.

Lovely Experience!

I made friends from around the world on this fun, little tour. We stopped at the Korbel Winery and tasted the most delicious California champagnes, which are not your typical grocery store variety. They also shared the rich history of the winery, dating back to the 1800s. We then hiked a little over 2 miles to see the oldest tree in the redwoods - the Colonel Anderson, which is over 1,400 years old - before visiting a delightful boutique winery, the Horse & Plow, for delicious Pinot Gris and charcuterie. It was simply lovely and I'd highly recommend it. No food is included, so grab some snacks to take along for the ride.
