Davide was very knowledgeable about so many details of the Vatican, museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s. There is a lot to learn packed into a few hours. Note that if you go this tour it does not include the St Peter’s Basilica dome climb, which you can pay for at the end and add on separately. You can also go below to the basement of St Peter’s to view the tomb and more interesting things. We were tired and hangry and didn’t realize that we could stay but if you think you may want to - plan accordingly. You can also remain on the grounds and walk around.

Great tour, good mix of...

Great tour, good mix of locations and history explanations without being overly educational or boring. Very cool to see the underground of the amphitheater and being able to get in without being bogged down in lines. You still need to wait in a line to get into the Roman Forum but it’s not too bad. Make sure to bring your ID and keep your tickets with you the entire time.

Excellent Tour. Brava!

Our guide was on time. She spoke very clearly and set a happy friendly tone right away. We walked at a steady, but not rushed pace. She is very knowledgeable on art and history. She was great at setting a pace on information so we did not brain over load. I recommend this tour because there is so much to see and possibly miss.

Breath Taking Views and experience

The trip was absolutely fantastic! Starting the day off with limoncello was amazing. Then seeing Positano and enjoying some fresh seafood right on the beach was breathtaking! Then ending on a high note seeing the ruins of Pompei and seeing how life was 2000 years ago was eye opening. Our guide Heather made the trip so enjoyable!

Do it!

Very informative! Our guide Christina is an archeologist by profession and has worked at Pompei excavating. She is extremely knowledgeable as a historian and was totally geeking out in all of the best ways possible. She was extremely enthusiastic and informative giving us information on even the smallest details. I have done this tour 3x in my life and she taught me things I’ve never learned. We spent 2 hours in the Colosseum alone and she took us to areas where we could get the best pictures. Overall well worth the tour if you have any interest in seeing the Colosseum arena level, upper areas as well as the surrounding Ancient Rome. My son and I unfortunately cut our tour short because we had a plane to catch but don’t hesitate to book this!

The tour was wonderful. Maria was quite knowledgeable and brought the tour to a fun filled time. This made the experience much more memorable. Only recommended change I could say after checking is give a more precise location to keep everyone together. Had it not been for two other individuals in my group call for us, we would have missed the officially scheduled gathering.

Valario was a great tour guide and as an archeologist he brings in depth knowledge of the Colosseum and Forum. He painted a realistic picture of a day at the Colosseum and provided a lot of history we did not know. If the day is warm, bring water and there are a good number of stairs.

Juliana did a great job of explaining the significance of several important items, and she helped navigate us through the crowds very effectively. Well worth the money!

This was a great tour of the Vatican and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was easy to find the meeting place, as it was at the Crown office and the walk to the Vatican was short. It was well worth it to get the skip-the-line tickets as others had been waiting hours to get in and we went to the front of the line. This was our second tour arranged through Viatour and both were wonderful.
