Wonderful time. Giovanni was an excellent guide- knowledgeable and funny. My husband, a life long beer drinker had his first glass of red wine! We all celebrated. Food and wine were excellent!!

Our guide Toni was amazing. So knowledgable and warm. It felt like a friend was showing us around town. The food was even better than I expected. Same for the wine. This was an incredible experience and value as we left full and satisfied.
I’d highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again when in Rome.

We had a tour group of 13. Tour leader was friendly and led us on a tour of a beautiful neighborhood with beautiful restaurants and delicious food. I made the mistake of not telling them my son doesn’t like cheese - I thought he’d be adventurous - so I recommend if there are any food preferences to let them know because they asked multiple times and are capable of being very accommodating if you tell them.

This tour was recommended to us by a friend. It did not disappoint! Fabio is a history teacher and he shares his knowledge with us by giving us the history of the food we were enjoying. All of our food was amazing. He even offered vegan options for people that didn't want to eat the pork. We had plenty of wine and food topped off with Gelato for dessert. This is a walking tour, but not difficult. I would take this tour again!

We had 8 pm tour with 7:45 pm arrival. This was our third Viator tour in Rome, so we were very much aware of the policy regarding arrival time. We were out front of the hotel which was our meeting place at 7:45 pm. There were several golf carts out front. I showed each driver our reservation, but they were not our driver. My husband happened to take a picture of the golf carts and the picture is timestamped 7:47 pm. I also called the number on our reservation confirmation a few minutes after 8 pm but no one answered the number we were provided. I called the number several times. I also sent several emails. I finally got a response and was told that since we did not show up the driver left and they would not refund our money. I asked for a written response from the driver/company with details and have not received one.

Our guide Elena conveyed her passion for Trastevere…taking our tastebuds on a delicious journey. From Burrata to Julius Caesar’s favorite pork dish (Minutal Matianum), from mouth watering porchetta to pasta with artichokes; from supplì to gelato. (Let’s not forget the great wine throughout). This is a must do when in Rome!

Truly our guide made the trip… of course the food was incredible, the wandering of the ancient streets, cutting the incredibly long lines…all amazing! But Giuseppe made it an INCREDIBLE experience! The camaraderie, his interaction with restauranteurs, genuine passion to learn about all of us in the tour and his one liners… we laughed, indulged and loved the entire night.

Our guide, Luca was exceptional. He was knowledgeable about the city, each restaurant we visited, every dish we tried and wine. I love the ancient wine cellar and the history surrounding it. I highly recommend this tour.

My friend had to drop out last minute, but thankfully I had a friendly group of foodies and a fantastic tour guide. The hours flew by. Plenty of tasty treats and wines. Going with the group meant we were able to skip the line at some trendy spots - would recommend this tour for that perk alone.

Brian was an excellent and funny tour guide! He share many historical details around town and genuinely loved his job. There is plenty to eat along this 3 hour tour so come hungry! I don't think anyone should make strict plans after this tour since you will be food coma. You get to walk around the food hots in Trastevere and hit up some of the hard to get to places like da Enzo but its a smaller dish to sample so you have to go back for the main dishes. We are getting tastings as some of these places before it opens. Overall this was a great intro tour to the special Roman foods so you can try to get reservations to some of the places they took us to. The area gets more lively by end of the tour. The last place we went to was a historical landmark restaurant with PLENTY of pasta to go around! Wear comfy shoes due to the uneven streets.
Meeting place was easy to find with their purple aprons or bags. The group size was manageable so you can still hear the guide talk. Loved this tour!
