We LOVED the food tour with Flavia! She was so personable, knowledgeable, and fun in the time we spent together. This was an enjoyable tour where we made 7 stops in Trastravere and tasted fried artichokes, wine, braised pork, Italian cookies, pasta and gelato. Our guide, Georgia, was excellent-she was very friendly, her English was perfect, and she was knowledgeable about the history and food.

Bring a bit of an apetite and enjoy the places. Stories. And History. We loved the area - we traversed from fabulous place to yet more fabulous places. This might be something you do your first few days. The food was really exceptional and def nice to visit these places again! We went our 2nd last night! It was a fun tour, but honestly this is way too expensive for what you get. The stop with the anchovy appetizer should come with a warning before (or skipped altogether) giving it to you as many people in my group would never have tried it and were very grossed out. The Suppli was my favorite stop. Excellent guide.

We had so much fun on the food tour of Trastevere! It was a great way to spend the evening. Michele was a knowledgeable and fun tour guide. He did a great job telling us the history of the food and the areas and restaurants we went to. We had a lot of fun with him and the tour, and will be trying some of the recipes at home! He was very friendly and helpful to provide other information about traveling Rome as well.

This is a must do! We like to take these walking food tour experiences when we first arrive in the new region as we get a glimpse of the neighborhoods, sample incredible local fare, and get the history of the buildings and cultures. The food on this tour was fantastic- so much that you will not need to eat afterwards. We highly recommend this tour!
