Itinerary
Meet your local guide at the tour office to enter the Vatican Museums. Then, with your skip-the-line ticket, step inside to start your Vatican and Sistine Chapel tour. Follow your guide, listening to tales of saintliness and scandal, and learn about the Vatican’s place as one of the holiest sites in Christendom.
Italian art flourished in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and the Vatican popes put together one of the world’s largest collections of private art with frescos, paintings, sculptures, and treasure. See the highlights as you walk through galleries such as Raphael’s Rooms, and hear stories behind works such as the 'School of Athens'—a piece that features images of Michelangelo and Raphael himself.
Pass through halls such as the Gallery of the Masks and Gallery of the Maps. Then, make your way into the Sistine Chapel. A sacred spot and the private papal chapel, the Sistine Chapel is also renowned for its Michelangelo frescoes—'The Last Judgement' and 'The Creation of Adam.'
Finish up at St. Peter's Basilica, where you can see more works of art like "Pietà" and rub the toes of St. Peter for good luck.

Very well organised tour informative guide would have given 5 stars but guide asked for donations after tour . Bit off-putting when you have already paid so much for the tour.

Difficult to understand your guide. Happy we were able to see Vatican and chapel , but the amount of people being pushed through each area was overwhelming and took away from the experience. Even with a headset it was hard to hear and understand what was being said.

Our guide read the room very well and appreciated the need for a water break. She was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of making sure we were out in front of the crowds. Excellent tour.

Words are hard to describe the tour! You could tour the Vatican for years and not see everything. The tour host was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, unfortunately I don’t remember the name. Extremely hot visiting, 92 degrees. But so worth taking a tour.

Unfortunately, I was delayed at the Rome Airport for 2 hours upon arrival at the Entry/Exit System procedure and was unable to attend my scheduled experience. Be aware of these delay possibilities and book with extra time in order to accommodate your needs.

Wear comfortable shoes! Lots of walking and stairs. Our guide, Georgia, was very knowledgeable and did a terrific job explaining every gallery and it's treasures.

The tour is long but worth it. A lot depends on the tour guide and how in depth they go on each stop throughout the tour.
Carla_S, May 2026
Our tour was very informative, almost too informative. It was hard to absorb all the history. I recommend this tour. It was really great.

I highly recommend this tour at the Vatican to simply Skip the Line! Wow was shocked to see the ticket/entry line wrapped around the block. We were told that line can be 2-3 hours waiting in the hot sun. With this tour we waited for a short time just to get thru security and we were in.
The tour office was easy to find to start our day. Just across the street from the Vatican. We had a knowledgeable guide that showed us all the highlights in the museum. There is a lot to see! We went thru the museum and then into the Sistine Chapel. All was incredible! We went right from there into St. Peter’s Basilica without any delay. The tour ends there so you have lots of time to explore at your leisure and stay as long as needed. I pre booked a separate ticket for the lift/walk up into the Dome. Guide showed us where we could access that and recommended we do it first as there was no line for the lift when we arrived. We really enjoyed our tour and the whole day was a great experience. Highly recommend!

The guided tour is extremely useful to skip the lines and crowds but the content felt like a history lesson rather than an engaging tour
Daniel_B, May 2026
The tour was very informative, but in order to really take everything in, a smaller group would have been nicer. In addition, 3 hours is really not enough time to see and look at everything. The best part of this tour is the skip the line access and the ability to get into St Peter’s Basilica right after the Sistine Chapel. It was also a bit difficult to understand the guide’s English at times.

Wonderful tour of Vatican City. Our guide, Olga was very knowledgeable & shared many facts about the history. Very crowded, but Olga managed to keep us all together.
Isabel_D, May 2026
Joaquina was our tour guide and she was very thorough in her explanation. She was amazing and gave us very detailed information.
Andre_N, May 2026
The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. Skip the Line is defintely worth it. However kudos to the front desk team, they got our group to the entrance even though we were a bit late. Thanks again!!
Lawrence_W, May 2026
Had a great time exploring the Vatican with Letiza who was explained we were seeing along the way. Nice seeing ancient tapestry of Naples which is where my Italian ancestry lies.
Thanks Lorenzo

All dumbs up! Any time again!!!!

Guide gave our group a great tour and was witty, knowledgeable and patient with both younger and slower members of the group.
Jeroen_D, May 2026
Really nice guide Leo who selected a good and relevant level of information, details.
Good length and enough possibilities to interact. Makes sure to book ahead of time for friendly prices. Skip the line is automatic with group tours but as there are so many groups, you will still be amongst many of them upon entry. But it all runs smooth with a good organization at the Vatican museum.

Fantastic Guide! Knowledgeable and truly engaging.tour was very organized and well run despite the crowds
Arianna_C, Apr 2026
Pasquale was great! The tour was insightful, the Vatican is very busy, I can’t imagine doing it without a tour and having to spend the day waiting in the sun
Paula_G, Apr 2026
Leo was an excellent guide! It was very informative. The Guide has a microphone and each participant is provided a device with ab ear piece to better hear the guide.
Marie_A, Apr 2026
Tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. We had a problem with getting our tickets via email but a quick phone call soon solved the problem.
Robert_H, Apr 2026
We had Maria and she was so informative and knowledgeable, it was better than anything we've learned prior and to see the line we avoided with this ticket, well worth ,Thanks
Lynn_M, Apr 2026
The tour was informative, delightful and engaging. Veronica, our guide, was fabulous as a historian, educator and people person. The entire family learned so much! Wish we had more time with her to learn more!
Kerry_C, Apr 2026
It was an amazing tour! It was well worth the price especially because we did not have to wait in long lines! Our tour guide was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to navigate well through the very crowded Vatican Museums!
Jessica_M, Mar 2026
We had a knowledgeable tour-guide and the experience was seemless. We entered quickly and was given ample time throughout the tour to stop and take photos.

If you really want to experience the Vatican museum, the Sistine chapel and St Peter's you have to check this out. "Sir Ian" was extremely knowledgeable with a very dry sense of humor you need to get used to if you've never experienced it before. It's truly a museum with artifacts and initiquities that blew me away once Ian explained it. I didn't give it 5 stars and It had nothing to do with Ian or the tour group. But when you go to the Vatican museum it is very crowded and I had a negative experience with security. They were very rude. I've had two negative experiences with the guards and I understand. They're probably frustrated that there's so many people there but and like I said, the star rating is for the overall experience, not for the tour group. Ian is wonderful. He has the brush up on his jokes a little bit but he is a very knowledgeable guy. Very educational experience. There is a lot of walking and by the time I got to the Sistine chapel I was pretty pooped. But overall, if you want to experience the Vatican and especially the museum and all its Glory you need to go to this. But make sure you have a good pair of walking shoes and if you have your kid or if you have kids with you, make sure you're close to them because you might lose them with all the people going around there or Ian will end up bumping into them. Plus. The museum is spectacular, especially if you love art and history, but the finale in my opinion was going to St. Peter's and Ian does something really special and almost gives you a self-guided tour of the basilica and if you could appreciate the Catholic church, especially St. Peter's basilica the home of the Pope, the epicenter of the Catholic church, you would really appreciate this tour
