Very friendly lady - took our 3 boys aged 9-7-4 and despite being the only family, they loved it and was made to feel very welcomed

Guide was hard to find red flag was not big enough.

Sarah_H, Jul 2026
The guide was friendly and helped direct us to each activity’s entrance, although clear signage was also posted throughout indicating where to enter.

Waste of Money

Christina_B, Jul 2026
Worst tour experience we have had. Text telling us to download some app came right before the tour, after we had left the wi-fi connection at our hotel. We had no cell connection and could not download it. We didn’t even get a map from the tour company. DO NOT BOTHER USING THIS COMPANIES TOUR. Waste of money. They gave us nothing but basic entry tickets.

Very bad and Disappointed Experience

Chiuyuen_N, Jul 2026

I will never use this application and this travel agency , please everyone avoid it

The hour long audio tour...

Kara_K, Jun 2026
The hour long audio tour was the perfect amount of time at the Colosseum on a hot summer day for our family. We downloaded the audio tour app before arriving at the Colosseum. However, the process to receive our tickets was not great. Information was delivered both through Viator app and on What’s App so keeping it all straight was difficult. Once we found the “meeting point” the tour host was impossible to find amongst the thousands of people also at the meeting point. He had no sign or identifying clothing. Finding the tour host took way too long and created undue stress. It would have been a perfect experience had we received our tickets the day before along with the instructions for the audio app.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Kara, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We're delighted to hear that your family enjoyed the audio guide and found it to be the perfect length for a summer visit to the Colosseum. We're sorry that collecting your tickets caused unnecessary stress. We typically send tickets through Viator 3–7 days before the tour date whenever they are available. For last-minute bookings, however, tickets are generated closer to the visit time, and we send them as soon as they become available. It's possible there was some misunderstanding regarding when your tickets would be delivered. We also appreciate your comments about the meeting point. Our host is there to assist travelers who need help before entry, but we understand that the area can become extremely crowded, making it more difficult to locate them. Your feedback is valuable, and we'll continue looking for ways to make the meeting process easier and more visible for our guests. Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We appreciate your feedback and are glad your family was able to enjoy this remarkable historic site. We wish you many more wonderful travels ahead. Kind regards, Dream Tourism

Where for art thou bathrooms?

Susan_M, Jun 2026
Limited bathrooms and once you go by them, you cant go back. Everything is one way and there are no bathrooms outside the colesseum. Plan accordingly.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Susan, Thank you for sharing your experience and for offering helpful advice to future travelers. We understand that the availability and location of restrooms can affect a visit, especially during the warmer months. However, restroom facilities inside the Colosseum Archaeological Park are managed entirely by the site itself and are outside our control as a tour operator. Our role is to provide the admission tickets and self-guided audio experience, and unfortunately, we cannot influence the number or placement of facilities within the archaeological park. We appreciate you highlighting this so other visitors can plan ahead before entering. Thank you for choosing Dream Tourism, and we hope you still enjoyed exploring the incredible history of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. We wish you safe and enjoyable travels. Kind regards, Dream Tourism

Tour cancelled at last minute

Keith_B, Jun 2026
This was a self guided audio tour, the app was terrible, did not locate us correctly, we spent the entire time wondering around on our own not listening. Our previous booking was cancelled at the last minute by Viatour for no reason, when we finally heard from the tour operator they said there contract had expired forcing us to scramble to find an alternative. Explain to me why they accepted the booking if there contract was expired!! Not acceptable!!

Bad app

Suzanne_G, Jun 2026
Receiving tickets before hand was fine. The self guided tour app is not good. The speaker is drab and boring and hard to follow. If you choose this, I recommend downloading Rick Steves European Tours app and listen to his self guided tour once inside

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Suzanne, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear that receiving your tickets in advance was a smooth experience. We're sorry that the audio guide app did not meet your expectations. We understand that narration style and presentation can vary from person to person, and we're sorry you found it difficult to follow. Your feedback is important to us, and we will share your comments with our audio guide provider as we continuously work to improve the experience for future travelers. We appreciate your review and thank you for choosing our self-guided experience. We hope you still enjoyed exploring the remarkable history of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Kind regards, Dream Tourism

The tours we took were...

Betsy_C, Jun 2026
The tours we took were great. The experiences were wonderful. Wear comfortable shoes! Filp flops are not a good idea!

Worth going! Go early!

Alicia_C, Jun 2026
Booked tickets for 8:30 a.m. There were no lines, got right in! We didn’t want a guide, which was nice because we went at our own pace. So glad we went!

Total disappointment

Giacomo_T, Jun 2026
The sales pitch lead you into believing is a personalized experience but is nothing like that, what Viator does is selling you the tickets with a huge markup and not adding value to the process, there is no representative on site to guide you or help you. I recommend buy the tickets directly to the colosseum.

Ticket delivery was easy...

Robin_K, Jun 2026
Ticket delivery was easy and there was a representative on site and available for any questions. Access was fast and the self guided tour was great

Chill experience, very well organised

Gabriela_T, Jun 2026
Skip the line tickets, very well organised. I was travelling with my boyfriend. We didn't rush, we got our instructions on time. We managed to see a lot in a day without rushing all the time.

Colloseum

Blair_T, Jun 2026
We were at the meeting point but could not find our guide so we had to go ourselves. The instructions were not clear enough

Sights are brilliant but get your ticket from their own website

christian_p, Jun 2026
Sights are brilliant but get your ticket from their own website, ones without guides like this one are basically touting as you get nothing you wouldn't get from just buying a ticket from the official site but for twice the price. Viator you shouldn't allow this, shame on you and the operators.

Colosseum

Carla_C, Jun 2026
dress comfy. There are a lot of people so take your patience with you. The line is so worth the wait to get in. If you haven't booked your ticket yet, booked an early time as it is very hot during June and July!

Guaranteed entry when you cannot purchase from the official site

Lisa_J, Jun 2026
We really struggled to obtain tickets via the official website for the Colosseum. Even though we tried as soon as the tickets were released, they sold out immediately. This was a way of obtaining the tickets (at a higher price) but guaranteed. I was worried given some of the reviews, but didn't need to be. Our tickets were sent to us 8 days before our booked date. We were still at home then so were able to print and take with us. However many on the day were using their digital tickets on their mobiles. Our slot was 9:30 am and we were instructed to arrive at 9:15 am and meet the representative. Being a little anxious we arrived at 9:05 am. We couldn't find our rep but did speak to a lady from another company who said he hadn't arrived yet (we were early) and she told us where to go and what to do. We joined the security line at 9:05 am but reached the front of the queue a little early so they asked us to step to the side and wait 10 minutes. Then they called us over and we went in at 9:20 am. At 9:25 am I received a whatsapp message from our representative with the tickets attached (obviously after we hadn't met him outside). I confirmed that we had already entered. He thanked us for letting him know and said "have a good visit". We passed through security with no problem. Despite the tickets saying no backpacks, there were many backpacks inside the colosseum so I think they are referring to the larger camping style ones. Handbags were no problem. The visit was good, even though it was still extremely busy at the early morning slot. We didn't bother with the audit app as we thought we couldn't take backpacks and therefore had nowhere to store our headphones. We gained access to the Forum and Pallatine Hill with no problems at all. Just a queue for about 15 minutes. Definitely worth buying if you cannot obtain via the official colosseum website.

Don’t use them!

Margie_G, Jun 2026
More expensive than buying at the location. Uses a 3rd party so tickets were hard to find. Didn’t explain important of being on time

Shakil was super helpful...

Christine_P, Jun 2026
Shakil was super helpful and very informative! You need to have WhatsApp to stay in communication with him. Would completely recommend this tour! It was great for a family of 5.

Poor explanation on...

gil_d, Jun 2026
Poor explanation on logistics, the place is amazing but use other companies. This one was not as good

This experience was...

John_R, Jun 2026
This experience was terrible!! The Coliseum itself was amazing but the experience, terrible. The app did not work at all. Seeing the Coliseum was something I had wanted to do my entire life and the app not working with sound or location ruined our expectations. When I contacted the tour operator (khilishakeel1) to meet us to help, there was no response back. I was able to connect to Youtube to ensure my internet signal was working with sound and it was working perfectly. The tour operator answered a couple quick questions we had before the tour but when I asked to meet up to help with the app, there was no response and the message is still unread today on Whatsapp. After the tour, we went back to our room to watch history clips about the Coliseum to try to learn about what we just saw and talking about how the app not working ruined something that we have both been looking forward to our entire lives.

Go on your own

Liat_B, Jun 2026
It was difficult to find the guide. The audioguide didn't work well, and there was no one around to askfor help.

Guide no where to be found

Ashley_M, Jun 2026
The actual activity was great enjoyed the day. We could never find the person in charge we went to both meeting spots and no where so we had to navigate lines ourselves. With this tour we had priority and well since guide was no where again we had to figure it out alone.

Very satisfied.

ChristiaanJ_R, Jun 2026
Wonderful experience. It takes you back in history more than you care to be reminded of. Thank you. D

Too many groups crowding in at a time…

Susan_M, Jun 2026
One of the worst experiences in my many years of travel. Get your voucher here, go get your ticket there, get in line over there, get your audio equipment there, look for this …(which we couldn’t because of the crowds)… then when we try to get into the last two spots, we were told to go back to the ticket booth to get those tickets….. it didn’t help that our driver was an hour late in picking us up. We did manage to see the Colloseum from the inner rim, but that was it.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Susan, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. After reviewing your comments, we would like to clarify that the experience you are describing does not correspond to the service provided by Dream Tourism. Our product is a self-guided Colosseum experience, where official entry tickets are sent to guests 3–7 days before the visit. There is no voucher collection, no on-site ticket pickup, no audio equipment collection point, and no pickup/driver service included. Guests go directly to the entrance at their scheduled time after completing the mandatory security check. For this reason, the multiple steps and crowded on-site process you mentioned (such as collecting vouchers, standing in different queues, or being redirected between ticket booths) are not part of our operation or procedure. We always aim to provide clear pre-arrival instructions to ensure guests have a smooth and straightforward entry experience, including guidance to arrive early and bring their own headphones for the audio guide. We are sorry to hear that your overall visit experience was affected by confusion during your visit to the site, but we would like to respectfully clarify that these issues are related to on-site operations and services not provided by us. Thank you again for your feedback. Kind regards, Dream Tourism

Be prepared to walk, take...

Robert_P, Jun 2026
Be prepared to walk, take your time to enjoy everything, the views are spectacular. If you can afford a guide get one their knowledge is second to none. It's very busy with people but the queues whilst can be lengthy whittle down very quickly. Make sure to take passports for entrance also.

Don’t use this company

Laurie_G, Jun 2026
It is extremely difficult to find the person you’re supposed to meet. You are sent something from viator called a voucher which you think is your ticket. But you actually have to meet somebody in a C of hundreds of people and figure out who they are for them to actually give you a ticket to get in and we chose a self guided tour. They said they sent us a download of an audio tour we never got it. We ended up just choosing to go on YouTube. Rick Steves videos were great obviously seeing the Colosseum was amazing. Going to see it was wonderful. I wouldn’t say that was poor. I just would say choosing this app to buy your tour is not a good idea. We used them for every tour we did in Italy and none of them went smoothly except I think maybe one one of them we had to like walk a block away the panathan we had to walk a block away. To find the people in front of some store that we’re gonna give us the ticket. It’s absolutely crazy. Just send the person their ticket so they can get in. We’ve already paid for it. Everyone else we met that went through other apps had no problem whatsoever.

The colosseum was way too...

Alan_H, Jun 2026
The colosseum was way too crowded. We paid over $100.00 for this tour and we never got to see Plantine Hill or the Forum since there was over a 3 hour wait.

They sent me ticket in...

Bitasik_K, Jun 2026
They sent me ticket in WhatsApp and in the app. During entry they scanned the tickets. I totally enjoyed the tour.

Excellent tour guides through all of the Viator tours

melissa_a, Jun 2026
Our tour guide was fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable and very, very pleasant. She was thorough and took her time explaining everything, but did not rush us. We would highly Recommend her.
