Underground Railroad with Will
Our guide, William, was AMAZING! He was so knowledgeable about the history of Boston and so passionate with his delivery. He has actually befriended the new owners of one of the historical homes on the tour. We highly recommend this presentation to anyone interested in learning more about the Underground Railroad.

Great food and tour
Dan was great. Even with just two of us signed up he shared nuggets of history, gave great food recommendations and of course took us to four great food locations. Chowder, lobster roll, oysters and Cannolis were fantastic. Touring the chart house restaurant was a highlight and his overall general knowledge of the area was fun to hear. And thanks for all the recommendations on food locations in Maine!

Wonderful historical tour of Boston!
We loved the tour! Catherine was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about our American history. This was the perfect way to start our Independence Day weekend celebrating our nation's 250th birthday! Thank you for making this so memorable! Chris and Craig

Very enjoyable land and Charles River Cruise
Very enjoyable land and Charles River Cruise. Hambone was our land tour guide and he did a very entertaining job with some music and dad jokes mixed in. The bartender tour guide on the river cruise also did a very good job while juggling making drinks, cashering and educating us about what we were seeing. Very enjoyable.

Elliot - Tour guide
We really enjoyed our Freedom Tour. It was a great way to learn about the history and hear the stories behind the places we visited. Our guide, Elliot, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job explaining things in a way that was interesting and easy to understand. You could tell she really knew the history and enjoyed sharing it with everyone. The tour was well paced, informative, and enjoyable from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend the Freedom Tour and hope others get the chance to experience it too.

Wicked Interesting
This tour was fun and very interesting. I’m from the Boston area and wanted to see what I was missing so I decided to see what visitors got to experience. I learned a lot about some of the big players in the American revolution. We probably walked about a mile total during the tour. Zoey was an awesome guide ! Very knowledgeable, friendly, passionate and friendly ! Highly recommended !

The tour was a high overview of the campus. You don’t get to go into the buildings but still get to walk to see where classes and the dorms are. And get the history of the buildings. Jonathan, our tour guide was a lot of fun and put humor into all his knowledge of the campus!

Mixed Review
Our tour started with a guide who was very inadequate. He played a recording which he was unfamiliar with, so the recording was playing the wrong information for the site we were actually seeing. The guide would fumble and try to find the correct spot on the tape. When he did speak himself, sometimes his microphone was off. I asked him a fairly easy question, and he had no idea of the answer. My daughter and I hopped off the tour to eat lunch. When we got back on, we were fortunate to get Jack as our guide. He was AMAZING! He’s a native Bostonian, so he was able to add personal touches and local information. He sang to us while we waited on the traffic to move. We loved his sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour. I will do it again for sure.

Coach put together an...
Coach put together an excellent tour telling the story and giving the inside look at what happened between April 18 and 19 starting the war. He was so knowledgeable and did a great job of handling at least one person on the trip who was pretty obnoxious. The museums were great and the information was delivered with passion and love of the material and area. If you’re super into history and want to go on an unrushed trip, this is the one to take.

Great Listening Tour! MUsT Do!
The first time I went to Boston I did one of the guided tours by a man dressed as a colonial. He was awesome. Funny, and it was a very good tour, but when my husband and I went back the following year I felt like there was a lot we skipped over and I needed a better history lesson. This listening tour was excellent! We were able to sync our AirPods so that we stopped and were looking at the same thing at each stop. So much information. Good guides and easy to listen to and navigate!

An Afternoon of Deliciousness
I would highly recommend this tour! One suggestion: arrive hungry because there is a lot of amazing food along the way.
We started by sampling fresh-baked bread tucked away in an unmarked alley, and it was absolutely delicious. Next, we enjoyed traditional Italian pizza and fried rice balls at a historic family-operated eatery.
After walking off some of the food, we visited the Old North Church and learned fascinating history about Paul Revere. We then stopped for cannolis and coffee at a charming little café — both were fantastic.
From there, we passed the Paul Revere House and later enjoyed a balsamic vinegar tasting. While we sampled vinegars, our guide picked up sub sandwiches that we ate in a nearby green space.
By the end of the tour, we were completely full and very happy. It was a perfect combination of delicious food, local history, and a fun walking experience.

Lovely tour!
Our guide, Maddie, gave our group a wonderful tour of the North End and Freedom Trail! We hit up some delicious food spots that we will be talking about for a while. We particularly loved the Italian sandwich from Salumeria Italiana and the cappuccino and cannoli from caffe vittoria! Highly recommend for those looking to see Boston’s highlights in a short time.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Boston and history go hand-in-hand, and there’s no better way to learn all about both than on Boston historical tours. While many focus on the 16-stop Freedom Trail, which traces the city’s history (particularly during the American Revolution), some add in other historic neighborhoods like the North End and Beacon Hill. You can choose to have a guide in period costume, and some tours also have food and drink components. There is even a narrated cruise along the harbor that recounts the waterfront city’s long history, as it passes the USS Constitution and the site of the Boston Tea Party.
