E-bike tour of Boston
This is a great tour to get your bearings in Boston. You cover a lot of ground with the bike than you would be able to do in a short amount of time.
Our tour guide was exceptional at keeping us safe from the start of our journey and provided colorful commentary throughout the tour via the speakers in our helmets.

Excellent guide, very informative tour
This was a great tour. You can tell the guide really loves Boston. Meeting was a challenge because the email received did not have a photo of the spot- it was a blank space without the photo- so we had to call & missed the first few minutes and never heard what the guides name was.

Entire Freedom Trail Tour
We had a an amazing experience doing the Entire Freedom Trail Tour. Mark is a wonderful guide and he was very kind and attentive to the entire group (all ages). The pace was perfect and he had excellent explanations and visuals throughout the tour. If you are looking for an in-depth and thorough tour, led by someone who truly knows, respects, and enjoys the history, this is the one to do. We enjoyed every minute of the tour!

Preserved History
If you are interested in African American history in Boston this is the tour. Mehgan did an excellent job and was knowledgeable on the history of AA in Boston. She was very passionate in her tone on the free slaves and their struggles to become free as all humans back in the era. She gave breaks when walking the Beacon Hills area. We enjoyed our private tour due to another group canceled. Lucky for us :-). I would definitely recommend this tour with Mehgan. You will learn alot and be proud of AA history. I'm glad to know that Boston preserved it for generations. Kudos to Boston!!!

Our guide, Elena, made...
Our guide, Elena, made this a delight—funny and informative, just the right blend. The tour really sets up a visit to Boston, puts it in context. Plus the folks at the Visitors Center went out of their way to fix a glitch with the tickets—very grateful!

Very enjoyable yummy tour!
We had the pleasure of taking the Boston Food & History Tour with Nabil, and it was such a wonderful experience! Nabil was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and very knowledgeable about Boston’s history and food culture.
We had a little trouble locating the starting point because the street sign had a different name than what appeared on my map. However, if you find the Registry of Motor Vehicles, you’re in the right place!
We started at a very interesting bread company, where we got to try some delicious breads and learn about the history of this unique bakery and its bread-making traditions. From there, we stopped at a local grocery & deli, Salumeria, for a sandwich. We made our way to a pizza shop, Galleria Umberto, for a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was delicious and had such a nostalgic, old-fashioned feel to it.
The day we went was extremely hot, but Nabil was very thoughtful and made sure to bring us to shaded areas whenever possible, which we really appreciated.
Our last stop was at a wonderful coffee house and pastry shop, Lavazza, where we enjoyed a cappuccino and a cannoli. Both were very good and were the perfect way to finish the tour.
Along the way, we visited many historical sites and learned so much about Boston’s history. Nabil did a great job bringing everything to life while making the tour fun and enjoyable.
Five hours may seem like a really long tour, the time flies & it does not seem too long. It is perfect!
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great combination of delicious food, fascinating history, and a knowledgeable guide. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend Nabil and this tour!

A trip through time
If you are a history buff, or even just mildly interested in the Revelutionary War, Coach is your man. He provided so much information, in such an enjoyable story telling style, he brought the area to life, and provided so much context to the events detailed in the Freedom Trail walking tour in Boston. History truly comes to life as you drive the path of the evening and day that marked the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

Freedom tour with kids
I would highly recommend this tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and a history teacher who was very good at keeping our kids (9&13) engaged. He kept a good pace and stopped frequently in shady spots. He lots of interesting details but drone on like some of the other guides we encountered. The 90 minute tour with 11 stops was really a perfect length for us, but if you wanted to see the other 5
sites, the guide gave advice on how to get to those on your own. If you are looking for a shorter version to do with your kids, I recommend this one!

Birth of our nation through the eyes of John Hancock.
I highly recommend the guided Freedom Trail with someone in period dress. Our guide was John Hancock. Not only did we learn more about this founding father than he signed the Declaration of Independence with a large signature, but we were also able to see where history took place. Fascinating! We have been blessed.
Our guide did a wonderful job keeping up with a large tour group! Our personal family has 4 children ranging in age from 17 yrs to 10 yrs. They all were glad they did this trail even if they started for “mom”. They also said they appreciated having the period guide and thought our tour was much more interesting for having John Hancock than the other tours they saw taking place with “modern tour guides”.
As expected, it was a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Bring water with you. None of the walk was difficult. There were some uneven surfaces (cobblestone type, cemetery portion, up and down from curbs, etc.). Our pace was purposeful but comfortable. Our guide pointed out additional historic places/museums you can visit separately so the Freedom Trail would be a perfect start to your visit to Boston.
We did our tour late morning on July 4th. Happy 250th Birthday USA!!!! It was hot but our guide was very considerate to find shady places for us to stop along the trail.
John Hancock, you did an excellent job!!! I don’t know how you managed your period dress in the heat.

Really enjoyed the hop-on...
Really enjoyed the hop-on and hop-off trolley rides from all of the drivers! All of them were funny and very entertaining throughout the tours. We also really enjoyed this trolley ride options as a way to get to the major landmarks in Boston without having the walk, uber, or bike to destinations for 2 days!

Best food tour ever!
This is a wonderful overview of Boston’s famous foods. Katie was a great guide. She is knowledgeable and fun. This is our very favorite food tour ever! Each spot had a nice space set up for us and a gave us a really nice-sized portion. The final stop was the nicest!
This is a must do for foodies and some great history thrown in too. More food than you can eat.
Highly recommend!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Boston and history go hand-in-hand, and there’s no better way to learn all about both than on Boston historical tours. While many focus on the 16-stop Freedom Trail, which traces the city’s history (particularly during the American Revolution), some add in other historic neighborhoods like the North End and Beacon Hill. You can choose to have a guide in period costume, and some tours also have food and drink components. There is even a narrated cruise along the harbor that recounts the waterfront city’s long history, as it passes the USS Constitution and the site of the Boston Tea Party.
