We had such a great experience on the Boston Architecture, History + Photo Walking Tour—this was easily one of the highlights of our trip.
Our guide, Saba, was incredibly informative, engaging, and thoughtful throughout the entire tour. What really stood out was how attentive she was to our interests. Based on a conversation we had during the walk, she even took us to see an additional statue that wasn’t originally on the route, which made the experience feel very personalized.
Her knowledge of Boston’s architecture—especially in the Back Bay and Beacon Hill areas—was impressive. She shared so many fun facts and historical insights that brought the buildings and streets to life in a way we wouldn’t have experienced on our own. It never felt like a scripted tour; it felt like walking through the city with someone who genuinely loves and understands it.

We had done a couple different tours in the city before we did this one and were delighted to discover we were seeing almost completely different sights and neighborhoods than the other tours took us on. and not only did we get to see some amazing parts of the city and learn some incredibly interesting things about its history and architecture, we got some of the best vacation photos we’ve ever taken!

Saba was very informative, and had not only the history to share about the places we went, but had all of the photo tips one could need. Should you need them. She’s done the tours for 22 years and one of her favorite spots to show the groups is a little street which is well photographed. I have the distinct honor of deciding to not photograph that street which, Saba told me, I was the only one in 22 years not to. It was great to learn so much history, and to see so much and so short of time as a first time visitor to Boston. Highly recommended.

Only 2 of us and unexpected privately tour the library and the surrounding beacon hill area. Saba is very knowledgeble on the history of the library and the perfect vantage point to take artful, memorable photos. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Saba was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information beyond just the architecture; showing us things that we expressed an interest in and catering the tour to us. Learning about how to take QUALITY photos of architectural elements and how to use our phones to do so was such a great aspect of the whole experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone, even if you aren’t particularly into architecture. You won’t be disappointed!

The commentary included a lot of information about the historic Back Bay neighborhood and its iconic architectural landmarks---followed up with recommendations on how to photograph them. On a PhotoWalks tour, people of all skill levels have the opportunity to learn new ways of taking pictures in ways they haven't considered before.

Our tour guide Saba was phenomenal. She was kind, personable and patient. She offered a wealth of knowledge about the history of Boston and the revolution. Saba has amazing organization skills. She texted before hand (also please note because I didn’t see it- you are supposed to check in 2 days prior. Missed that note). She was active on her text - and told you exactly where you need to go. Note the picture in the text is the statue you start at.
She did take us to beautiful places. She did give historical perspective. This is more of how to take photos of beautiful places and less about the places. She gives you photo techniques and suggestions. In my mind this was going to be a tour of beautiful places - less about how to frame the photo. My kids are not on social media so they didn’t care as much about that so it didn’t translate as well to them as our normal walking tours. That isn’t Sabas issue that is why I still gave full stars.
She was very kind at patient.
