We were very fortunate to have Saba as our tour guide who was very knowledgeable, warm and interesting. Even though I had lived in Boston before, I had never been inside the amazing Boston Public Library, the Fairnount Copley Hotel or the Old South church. The architecture tour was wonderful. And walking en route to the Boston park filled with flowers-in-bloom, we were delighted to see the many hand-made elephants in person. We would highly recommend this tour.

Thank you so much for your wonderful 5⭐️ review and kind words, Arlene! It was such a pleasure sharing Boston’s architecture and history with you and your friend. I’m glad you both enjoyed our walk through the Boston Public Garden in full bloom, as well as the Great Elephant Migration exhibit on Commonwealth Avenue before the elephants migrate out of Boston on September 13. I really enjoyed my time with you both and appreciated your great interest in the commentary and photo ideas. My sincere thanks for your recommendation!

Thank you so much for kind words and for amazing review, Cara! I really enjoyed our time together as we explored Back Bay and Beacon Hill. I really appreciated everyone’s enthusiasm for learning about the city’s history, architecture, and scenic locations of these two exclusive 19th-century neighborhoods. So happy to hear you also learned how to capture photos in new ways with your smartphone.

Although this was labeled an Architecture tour that included photography and history, there was very little focus on architecture during the tour. In addition, although a verbal description of the Boston Library was given, during the first 15-30 minutes of the 2 hour tour, we were left on own to walk through library! Saba was pleasant and courteous, but for this tour, just too much was missing ☹️.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback. I was dismayed to receive this review because it does not reflect the experience I strive to provide on every tour.
At the Boston Public Library, I gave a thorough historical overview of the building, explained its significance, highlighted its architectural features, and provided detailed guidance on how to move through the library to capture its most beautiful spaces and architectural details. Due to the library’s policies, I am not permitted to conduct guided commentary inside the building, which is why guests explore the interior independently after receiving instructions. I also explained this at the beginning of the tour.
Throughout the remainder of the tour, I discussed the architecture, history, and architect of each building we visited. Every stop included an explanation of the architectural style, historical context, and suggestions for capturing memorable images. If you had wanted additional information, I would have been happy to answer any questions. No one in your group asked for further information of any of the sites throughout our walk.
The tour description clearly states that this experience combines history, architecture, and photo ideas while exploring Boston on a walking tour. If you were expecting a tour focused exclusively on in-depth architectural analysis, I can understand why your expectations were not met.
I appreciate your kind comment that I was pleasant and courteous. Thank you.
Our guide was very informative and showed us how to take some great photos. She took us to really good locations to get good and memorable photos of the back bay and Beacon Hill.

We had such a great experience on the Boston Architecture, History + Photo Walking Tour—this was easily one of the highlights of our trip.
Our guide, Saba, was incredibly informative, engaging, and thoughtful throughout the entire tour. What really stood out was how attentive she was to our interests. Based on a conversation we had during the walk, she even took us to see an additional statue that wasn’t originally on the route, which made the experience feel very personalized.
Her knowledge of Boston’s architecture—especially in the Back Bay and Beacon Hill areas—was impressive. She shared so many fun facts and historical insights that brought the buildings and streets to life in a way we wouldn’t have experienced on our own. It never felt like a scripted tour; it felt like walking through the city with someone who genuinely loves and understands it.
If you’re looking for a tour that blends history, architecture, and great storytelling (with plenty of photo-worthy spots), I highly recommend this one—especially if you get Saba as your guide!

Saba was very informative, and had not only the history to share about the places we went, but had all of the photo tips one could need. Should you need them. She’s done the tours for 22 years and one of her favorite spots to show the groups is a little street which is well photographed. I have the distinct honor of deciding to not photograph that street which, Saba told me, I was the only one in 22 years not to. It was great to learn so much history, and to see so much and so short of time as a first time visitor to Boston. Highly recommended.
Response from Host, Oct 2024

I'm so glad you had a great time as a first-time visitor to Boston. Many thanks for the recommendation.
