Overview
When tracing the roots of American independence, the city of Boston is one of the most important epicenters in the country’s history. The Freedom Trail runs through downtown to Charlestown, taking you on a literal walk through the events that inspired and instigated the American Revolution. Join a local guide for a tour of the entire 2.8 mile (4km) trail which includes visits to Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution so you can hear the full historical tale.

We had a an amazing experience doing the Entire Freedom Trail Tour. Mark is a wonderful guide and he was very kind and attentive to the entire group (all ages). The pace was perfect and he had excellent explanations and visuals throughout the tour. If you are looking for an in-depth and thorough tour, led by someone who truly knows, respects, and enjoys the history, this is the one to do. We enjoyed every minute of the tour!

100% wonderful experience with Mark! There is a reason for all the 5.0 reviews out there!! If you are looking for a cheesy, loud, perhaps costumed guide, Mark isn’t for you. If you are looking for a passionate, highly knowledgeable, mature professional guide, Mark IS the one!

Mark, the tour guides, is very knowledgeable and has a passion for early American history and America's founders. You'll learn more in several hours than you ever learned in school. Easy to understand and has a deep, rich voice. Plenty of opportunities to rest along the way. And get this, Mark will not accept gratuities. Highly, Highly recommended.

We booked this tour because we could see the guide had excellent reviews - he exceeded our expectations. Really nice guy, Incredibly knowledgeable, informative and thoroughly enjoyable walking tour in a small group. it's a lot of walking, but well paced with plenty of stops and a restroom break. He even carries spare water in case you run out.

Mark was very knowledgeable of the area and the history. He gave true facts not fable. His pace was perfect. His voice projected well and he was easy to hear and understand. The group was small, 7 people, so he could answer all our questions and chat with us. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Mark!

I chose this particular Freedom Trail tour because of all the 5* reviews and it did not disappoint! Mark's knowledge and explanation of the history, the sites and all the background was fantastic and kept our whole family, including the teenagers, gripped the whole time. When we asked our 19 and 17 year olds what their favourite part of the tour was they both said Mark. As well as the information Mark shared with us he was thoughtful in considering stopping in the shade to talk to us and even brought water bottles to share. We're so glad we chose to spend our first day in Boston with Mark.

Mark was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history. Perfect pacing and his smaller group size made it so much more interactive and informative. Mark didn't spout facts at each site, he told a story that continued along the trail and wrapped up beautifully at the end. Could not recommend him more highly.

Be prepared to walk a lot. It's easy walk but it is very long with only a few minutes break in between stops. Our guide, Mark, gave us a very detailed history lesson of which some I never heard about. He is very knowledgeable. He also made the walking as pleasant as possible taking us in shady spots.

The best freedom trail experience. Mark was incredible host with knowledge and stories of history. He brought the past to life. The only tour that you visit and experience the entire freedom trail and other places and sites that should be part of the " freedom trail".
I, 100% recommend this tour when visiting Boston with Mark as your guide.

Very knowledgeable guide. The USS Constitution is amazing. The Boston Massacre site is disappointing (not the company’s fault) Bunker Hill made me very emotional.

This was a long walking tour with breaks included. Our guide was mark and he was absolutely fantastic. He was very energetic and knowledgeable and made the tour extremely interesting. Even my teen kids enjoyed his style of presentation.

I had an amazing time with this tour, we walk the whole Freedom Trail from Boston Commons to The USS Constitution for 4 hours. I did not feel tired or bored, Mark our guide was really entertaining and informative. If you love history and don't mind walking this is the tour for you.

It is long - 4 hours - but does the whole Freedom Trail and is tiring but definitely worth it. Mark was an amazing guide!! Very knowledgeable. We think we know the history of our country but there is so much more we don’t know. We really enjoyed this tour
