What are people saying about Boston

Excellent tour. Well worth doing
The Freedom Trail runs across 16 sites and numerous organisations providing a tour so it's worthwhile looking at reviews. We booked through Viator and looked quite carefully at what we wanted from a tour. For example, we wanted a small group so that there would be opportunities to ask questions of the guide. OUr tour started at Boston Common and ended at the North End so covered quite a distance. Our guide (Cyrus) was amazing. His knowledge of the subject was great and he backed that up with photos and pictures that depicted aspects of the people and events of the rebellion

Entertaining and historic!
We had a fabulous tour guide, a funny Irishman who told us tales of ghost stories, serial killers, legends and lore. We stopped at the Kings Chapel Burial Ground, Boston’s old city hall, the Old State House, the Boston Stranglers old stomping grounds in Beacon Hill, Boston Commons where hangings and stockades for punishments were, Park Street Church and graveyard, a few patriots graves: Samuel Adam’s, Paul Revere and James Otis and heard stories of the most haunted hotel in Boston, the Omni Hotel. This was so entertaining, historic and fun!!

Fun and scenic
The checkin process was easy once we found the office. The boat left and arrived on time. Lots of seating available, clean, and decorated nicely. A great ambience. Beer on tap was watery. They ran out of the chicken wings after we put in our order, but they gave us a very generous alternative in compensation. The sunset view was beautiful over the skyline. Also there was a table with free hot cocoa and cookies!

No regrets
The Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum was an outstanding experience and one of the most engaging historical attractions we’ve visited. It’s incredibly immersive — from stepping onto the ships to participating in the reenactment, you feel genuinely transported back in time rather than just observing history from a distance. The actors and guides were knowledgeable, energetic, and made complex historical moments accessible and memorable for all ages. The interactive elements kept the experience dynamic, and the pacing was perfect — informative without ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. The museum itself is well-designed, with thoughtful exhibits and multimedia presentations that bring the story of the Boston Tea Party to life in a meaningful way. It’s educational, entertaining, and surprisingly fun. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or just looking for a unique experience in Boston, this is absolutely worth the visit. We left with a deeper appreciation for the events that shaped the country and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
