Best History Tour Ever!

This tour provided us with more historical information than anticipated. We started promptly as scheduled and Nick, our tour guide arrived 15-minutes early to begin the check-in process. He walked us down the Freedom Trail path and gave us the background of notable locations plus key details regarding all the involved historical figures. The 2.5 hour trip ended on time and all the additional content supplemented what basic information we learned either in books, movies, and in school. This is a must-see must do excursion for anyone visiting Boston and I highly recommend it.

The highlight of my Boston visit, but boarding could be better organized!

Taking this sightseeing cruise was absolutely the highlight of my visit to Boston! It was such an exhilarating experience to get out on the water and see the beautiful harbor from the boat. Captain Danie was an excellent and informative narrator, and feeling the cool sea breeze made for an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable trip. While the cruise itself was fantastic, there are two areas where they could improve. First, the boarding process was quite chaotic. We waited a while to board, and the instructions were not clear at all. Because of this, several people just cut the line and snatched up the better seats on the boat. A more structured and clarified boarding process is definitely needed. Secondly, as a solo traveler, the bar setup isn't very practical. If I get up to order a drink, there is no one to watch my chair, which means I risk losing my seat. It would have been wonderful if there was a server taking drink orders at our seats. Despite those small logistical issues, the cruise was truly wonderful and I highly recommend it for the views and the great narration!

A must do in Boston!!

We booked this trip as an excursion for our short time in the great city of Boston. We had it planned for a day where the predicted weather was not ideal. The company worked with our schedule and rearranged it so we could still go. I’m not sure if it was because of the company I was with (grandparents, asilts and children), we had expected a tour of the harbor and an explanation of the boat style. And while that would be fantastic in and of itself, the crew (Captain Jasper, Logan and Lauren) spent the entire time entertaining us, asking the kids (ages 11 & 15) about their hobbies. They spent a majority of the time out by the airport because my son was an airplane enthusiast. I’ve asked my kids numerous times what the highlight of the entire Boston trip is, and they answer without hesitation “the boat ride.” Jasper, Logan and Lauren were FANTASTIC. I can not say enough good things about the ENTIRE experience.

Great Option to Travel to Salem

This was a beautiful ride to Salem. Our tour guide (I believe his name was Tom) provided a great overview of the area, the architecture, and stories. It was almost like having a guided tour! Great way to travel to Salem. Beautiful views. Easy on / off. The whole crew was kind and polite. Be sure to note that this is a one-way ticket. You'll need to book both directions.

Entertaining Peek at the Event that Lit the Spark

We really enjoyed this highly interactive and entertaining look at the events associated with one of the most impactful nights in American history. The actors are absolutely brilliant at keeping everyone entertained while learning about the Boston Tea Party and the events associated with the initiation of conflict in Massachusetts. It was the actors that made this tour great.

Really enjoyed the hop-on and hop-off trolley rides from all of the drivers! All of them were funny and very entertaining throughout the tours. We also really enjoyed this trolley ride options as a way to get to the major landmarks in Boston without having the walk, uber, or bike to destinations for 2 days!

Fantastic!

This is the highlight of our trip! When we first set sale, it was very foggy with limited visibility. It took a very long time to find any whales, and we were very concerned that we would head back to shore without seeing any. However, the staff did not give up and eventually found seven whales that were very interactive with us! Be sure to bring a jacket because it gets very chilly. Arrive early to grab a seat inside because you will not last long on the deck! Staff were very attentive and even let us borrow a phone charger when our phones were almost dead.

Second chance

be very careful about selecting your meeting space. There appears to be more than one, and I went to the wrong site missing my tour. Very confusing... scroll down read everything on line! With that being said, about 5 minutes after my tour group had left, another tour leader from the same company came by to get ready for her group, the next half hour. I explained my situation and she was very gracious to add my family to her own tour group. She was fun, energetic. knowledgeable, and in costume and character. There must have been another 30 groups all out there, at the same time, and the vast majority of them were being led by individuals, who may have been very knowledgeable, but they looked like everyone else; they certainly did not have the same presentation value as our tour. group leader had. I don't know if these other tour group leaders were in business on their own, but they were just like everybody else, and it made everything just seem unspecial. But Viator, had tour leaders in costume ans that made a huge difference and came across far more professional!

Super interesting, great views

Wonderful way to see great views while getting a different kind of history of the city of Boston. Only an hour, so it don’t doesn’t take a lot of your day. Our guide (tour narrator), Dave Coffin, was extremely entertaining, but also very knowledgeable. If you can get on one his tours, do it! Even with a LOT of fog, we still enjoyed it.

We had a great time on...

We had a great time on the sunset tour! Service was great and the views were beautiful! We even got to see the USS Constitution fire a canon! The only downfall was it was hard to hear the captain's commentary over the speakers. Not really sure what he was explaining about the places we passed. We would do it again if ever in Boston!
