Great historical view of the North End led by someone passionate about the history and authentic Italian food. You are given exceptional fresh high quality food (even from a James Beard award winning chef) while learning about Boston and the North End.

What a wonderful experience we had. Highly recommend this tour with Paula. She gave us so much history of the North End and brought us to places we never would have seen. Put this tour on the top of your list, of things to do in Boston.

Short distances were involved, so easy walk. Guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We would do it again.

My wife and I book a food tour in every new city we go to. Paula did truly make this one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. She weaved in history with food so effortlessly that I could’ve sat and listened to her wax poetic on north end history all day. The food, unsurprisingly, was also insanely good and everyone we met at the restaurants and shops was so lovely. 10/10 would do again and recommend as THE tour you do in Boston.

This is an excellent tour, Paula is fantastic, different food samples as well as some history along the way. Some of the our stops were Umberto, for one of the best rice balls and sicilian pizza I ever had.Salumeria market, for a oil and balsamic tasting as well as cheese and procuitto.Bricco bakery for delicious breads and pastry and our sit down for lunch was at Ristorante Saraceno, the meal included bread, appetizer, lunch (macaroni) and wine tastings. We also stopped at a local liquor store for limoncello and a pistacio liquor, last stop was dessert - Gelato at Caffe Paradiso...Paula was very knowledgeable with a vivacious personality. Would highly recommend this tour

Excellent food choices along with great history of the North end AND information about the food selected for the food tour. Not only that Paula provide sources for us after the tour which lasted longer than the allotted time stated. Learned so much and tasted such delicious foods and drinks, the added history of the area and foods was a definite bonus.

Paula was so knowledgeable and friendly. She truly loves what she does and where she lives. She kept us fully informed of timings, looked after us and was a real pleasure to be around. As we now have an extra couple of days in Boston, she has been kind enough to help suggest other areas of interest. This tourvwas really worth while - you will not go hungry!
Suzanne_T, Aug 2025
Paula lives in the neighborhood and takes you to many stops that are personal favorites. The tour is very well done, and you are quite full when it’s over. Would highly recommend!
Suzanne_L, Aug 2025
This tour was an unexpectedly delightful and informative find. Paula has been leading this tour for 15+ years and she has put her heart into building a unique experience. As she tells it, she has lived and worked in Boston's North End for much of her adult life. The restaurants and shops that she takes you to are the same businesses that she has eaten in and shopped at for years. In addition to sharing her wonderful culinary finds, she augments the tour experience with her art history education and deep interest in local culture, telling stories and describing historical events in engaging detail. We have taken many local food tours in our travels and we have to say that this was one of if not the best. Food, wine, culture, history- this experience had it all.
