An Amazing Highlight Reel

We very much enjoyed this tour! Deb, our tour guide was amazing, and clearly well known about town. She knew exactly where to go, what to see, and gave us additional information and stories along the way. I would consider this guided tour to be a "highlight reel" - fast and targeted to see the most popular items at each location. We were only going to be in Washington, DC for one day, knew we wanted to visit some of the museums, but really had really had absolutely NO idea what to try to see at each location. We could have done it on our own, but it would've taken much longer and I'm sure we would've gotten lost. Having Deb allowed us to make the best use of our time and I would recommend this tour to anyone making a short stop in the city.

Mt Vernon Day Trip

Our group of four was picked up in a van by our driver Galen in front of Air and Space Museum. We drove to Mount Vernon and we were offered chips and water on the drive. Galen gave us a history of Mt Vernon along the drive. He was kind, polite and informative. Once we arrived at Mt Vernon, Galen stayed close to our group throughout the day. I highly recommend this trip as we learned so many interesting facts about George Washington.

Comprehensive highlight tour

True highlights of all major downtown landmarks. If that is your desire, this is an excellent option. George is indeed as delightful as his stellar reviews. He does have an accent that could be challenging for some. I agreed with a UK passenger that it didn't take long to adjust to, and enjoy it. George went out of his way to drop us at our hotel afterwards.

We had the absolute privilege of doing a private 3-hour walking tour of Arlington National Cemetery with Matt from History Nerd, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Matt was AMAZING! His knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought the history of Arlington to life in a way that was both fascinating and deeply moving. He didn’t just share facts—he told the stories behind the people, the places, and the sacrifices that make Arlington such a sacred and meaningful place. One of the most emotional moments was witnessing the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, followed by seeing a new wreath placed at the Tomb. Being there in person was incredibly powerful, and Matt helped us understand the significance and traditions behind these beautiful ceremonies. The entire tour was thoughtfully paced, personal, and filled with history that we will remember for a long time. Matt was engaging, personable, and clearly passionate about what he does. You could feel how much he genuinely cares about honoring the stories and people of Arlington. If you are visiting Arlington National Cemetery, I HIGHLY recommend booking a private tour with Matt from History Nerd. It was one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip, and we are so grateful we had the opportunity to see Arlington through his eyes. Great experience

I had a great experience on this tour! Our tour guide, Smokey, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. I especially appreciated how he took the time to share detailed history and stories about the officers and nurses honored at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It really added meaning to the experience. The entire tour was smooth, well organized, and enjoyable. As a first-time visitor, I learned so much and felt like I got a great introduction to Washington, D.C. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially to anyone visiting the city for the first time. Thank you, Smokey, for making it such a memorable experience!

A great place to see, but still had to go through the ticket line.

Wow, what an amazing place to see. We still had to go through the ticket line, happy it wasnt very long. I thought buying the tour in advance kept us out of the ticket line, but it did not. Once inside we had to go to the Information booth to receive our map and details about the mansion tour. Even with all that, we all ( grandparents, adult children and young adult grandsons) loved it.

Best Tour of D.C. / highly recommended!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area, history to current. The bus was very comfortable, not crowded. I’ve been to D.C. before and learned so much on this tour that I didn’t know prior to the tour. I highly recommend this tour! This is the only tour that we are considering going on again next time we are in D.C.

Fun evening

Evening bike ride was so much fun to get up close to the monuments. Even though we were blocked by activities happening on the mall, the leader made sure everyone was safe and together. We even had an extra bonus of some flyovers! Just taking a regular bike was fine and there was no need for an e-bike unless that is your thing. There was plenty of time at each of the stops and I never felt rushed.

Excellent way to spend a few hours!!

This tour was very informative and gave key highlights to the area without needing to spend hours and hours reading plaques in different buildings on our own. It was a comfortable pace for all individuals in the group. Our guide, Debra, was not only knowledgeable about the area and different buildings but attentive to the people she led. We especially appreciated the tickets to the Senate and the House galleries and felt this was the perfect ending to a great day.

Tour that Doesn’t Feel Rushed…PERFECT!

We had an amazing time with Mr Eddie! He texted the day before to confirm pickup and arrived 15 mins early for our tour. He explained our stops and set expectations for our stops. As we drove he gave a history of DC while pointing out places of interest. He drove slow enough that we all had an opportunity to see what was being discussed. Our favorite stop was the Pentagon. He walked with us and gave a detailed account of the days events as well as details about the memorial itself. We could not have been more pleased with the entire experience! We loved the personal touch he provided for our family.

Great tour!

We loved it! We had Davey Crockett and he was so realistic! It was more of a history tour than a ghost tour - so definitely family friendly. We have lived in DC our whole lives and learned many new things. It’s also nice to walk around the Capitol grounds at night! A unique experience. Davey is very knowledgeable of the history and it was easy to retain everything he said because of the fun storylines he framed! Definitely recommend this tour and the price is a steal! There are a few more that cost a bit more and I don’t think that’s worth it.
