It was the worse Viator tour we’ve ever taken and we take them all the time. We couldn’t understand the driver. He didn’t follow the itinerary of the tour that we signed up for. He didn’t make the stops that were published. He drove very fast so we couldn’t get pictures. He didn’t even stop for us to take pictures of the cherry blossom trees. His directions at the Korean War memorial were terrible. We couldn’t find the van and had to order an uber and miss the rest of the tour.

I conducted this tour myself and despite the detours & street closures at the Lincoln Memorial due the Cherry Blossom Festivities, I was able to stop at all the stops that Sam & Sal Tours advertised. This particular customers decided to leave because they knew that the tour final stop was the Lincoln memorial. My customers who were with them told me, they decided to go to their hotel because this was the end of the tour. All of my other customers followed the instructions I gave them to come back to me made it, and as promised I drop them off at their hotels.

We really enjoyed our experience and saw all of the top sites. My recommendation would be to see the MLK Jr and Korean War Monument during the day. The nighttime experience doesn’t capture their beauty. Our tour guide was fun and experienced. Would recommend this tour. Seeing monuments at night is truly a different and special experience.

Our tour guide was nice but slightly difficult to understand. You don’t get out at every stop, only around half and there’s a lot of this you just drive by. Tour guide is very knowledgeable though.

The tour was informative and gave us time to take photos at each stop. We were collected from our hotel which was a bonus. George did his best to get us close to sights that we had to pass by.

George would have been outstanding, but unfortunately his van broke down and we were only able to complete one stop. He called earlier in the day to ask if we could begin the tour half an hour sooner, which worked fine for us, so we agreed. However, when we arrived at the first stop, the van began smoking. He returned us to the hotel and then went to work on repairing the vehicle.
We are very sorry about his situation, but naturally we were extremely disappointed, as this tour was a major part of our two-day, one-night stay here. We understand that unexpected issues can arise, but perhaps an alternative option, such as arranging for someone else to complete the tour could have been explored. I realize he was occupied with trying to resolve his vehicle problem, but as mentioned, there may have been other solutions available.
He did provide a few phone numbers for tours on Sunday, though we already had plans booked for that day.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and maneuvered us safely around the city. We did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy all of the amazing sights. We were very glad that we took this opportunity to experience DC at night!

This experience exceeded my expectations. The views of the monuments at night both up close and at a distance were beautiful. My husband and I experienced the monuments in a completely different way than seeing them during the day.
The tour operator was FABULOUUS! He was on time and gave lots of information, some new to me and I have been to DC and seen the monuments numerous times.
There is a bit of walking and stairs if you intend to get out of the van and go see the monuments up close.

It was a nice tour. The tour guide was pleasant but it was extremely hard to understand him. We weren’t the only ones that couldn’t. It was the entire van. It was nice to see DC at night. It’s a great experience without being on a big bus with a lot of people. I would opt for a golf cart night tour.

We were picked up at our hotel, which was really great. George was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We were given water, made several restroom stops, and he waited patiently when a few of us came back a little late to the van.
He was a little hard to understand at times with his lovely, heavy accent. But overall a very good tour.

When I signed up I was asked where I wanted to be picked up. I told them. The day of the tour they texted me telling me to meet them at another location cuz they had pick ups somewhere else. If I would’ve known that they weren’t able to pick me up at my hotel I would’ve cancelled. Unfortunately they didn’t tell me this until after the 24hr deadline for refunds.

The customer was staying 45 minutes away near Dulles Airport in Virginia. Our website clearly shows that we don’t pick up from Virginia & Maryland.
