Tour and Maribeth the Guide, FIVE STARS!
Great tour! Skipped the long long timed entry line on July 3, 2026. It was literally 100 degrees that day and the line wrapped around the block. Met our Guide Maribeth on the front steps and immediately went to the front of the line and quickly thru security. Saw all the documents that we came to see and much more of the remaining Archives Museum with our guide. Then we were free to wander around at our own pace when the tour was over. Maribeth our guide was excellent. Very personable and knowledgeable about the subject we came to see. Interacted very well with my 17 year old son and included him in the presentations by letting him answer and ask questions. My son’s knowledge impressed me and I think maybe impressed Maribeth a little too! All in all, It was money well spent. A personal thank you to Maribeth, if she sees this review!

What a wonderful tour guide
We did a tour with Alan on July 3rd 2026 in the middle of a 100 degree plus heatwave and had the BEST time. Communication from Alan began months prior to the actual tour as he built us a tour based on what we wanted to see, visit and do. Excellent communication from the start. He picked us up at our hotel at the specific time we agreed upon. He drove us in his persobal vehicle, a clean, comfy, roomy air conditioned car. We visted Arlington Cemetery where he took us to specific graves we wanted to visit as well as other intetests there. We spent the other half of the day at Mount Vernon, whete he was obviously well known to the staff there. He knew that property like the back of his hand and pointed out things to us nobody employed there did. We had lubch at Mt Vernin as well. He had a backpack cooler filled with ice chilled bottles if water that he offeted through the course of the day and provided heat shielding umbrellas as well. Even when just driving to the destinations, he pointed out places of interest, told us stories, gave us facts and trivia. At the end of the tour, we feel like we have gained a friend and from here on out, any trip we make to DC, he will be our guide. He was funny, smart, helpful, passionate, patient and knowledgable. His love and knowledge of American History was evident and customer service exceptional. This tour, although expensive, was worth every penny and we got exactly what we paid for......his undivided attentiion .He truly customizes the trip to what you want to do and see. Thank you Alan!

The right way to show your respect for our heroes
You could ride the tram and get some guys speaking through a microphone which you can’t understand or you can walk and listen to Jim share his passion for Arlington National Cemetery and some wonderful stories about the history and occupants. You can do this walk, he is walking backwards and talking almost the entire time. Changing of the guard will take your breath away. I’m 70 and my 12 year old grandson loved it as much as I did. Thank you Jim for the wonderful memories

July 4th celebration
Maaz was wonderful. We were able to get out at multiple locations and it was so nice to return to a cool car during this awful heatwave. He was able to get around the closed roads with little difficulty. This was the first time we have done something like this and were ambivalent about the cost but it’s the best value and best money I’ve spent in a long time. It took 65 years for me to learn a valuable lesson, paying someone else to deal with the hassle can be worth every penny. Thank you for the great experience.

Exclusive and customizable, Washington DC private sightseeing tours are especially great for visitors who want to see all of the city’s key landmarks in a short amount of time. With a private excursion—whether that’s by limousine, luxury SUV, or minivan—you’ll work with the tour operator and your driver to prioritize your must-visit locations, with plenty of time for photo ops. Most private sightseeing tours include hotel pick-up and drop-off, which can also be a huge time saver for those with limited hours to spend in the nation’s capital.
