Colin was GREAT and really enjoyed the library tour. Tons of info and easter eggs.
I would skip the capital building tour though. Colin had to leave us and the tour was very cattle drive in and out as fast as possible feel, hard to hear and follow, and didn't see the actual working senate/house spaces. I suspect it is just what the capital tours are no matter the company you choose.
Bill_R, Sep 2026
Well worth it. Great tour… So much history. Collin was a very knowledgeable and passionate tour guide. He even quoted Shakespeare which was impressive for an Army guy! ;)
Response from Host, Sep 2026
What a great review, thank you! Colin does love slipping some Shakespeare in, and he thoroughly enjoys the double take it gets. We would be delighted to welcome you back to Cornerstone Tours.

I had such a great time on my tour with William! He was incredibly informative and engaging, and he made the history behind the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and Capitol come alive. You could tell he really knew his stuff, but he also kept the tour fun and captivating the entire time.
I learned so much and genuinely enjoyed every stop. William was friendly, personable, and made the experience feel relaxed rather than like a typical history tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting DC—especially if you want to learn a lot while having a really enjoyable time. I had a fantastic experience and wish this new company lots of success!
Response from Host, Sep 2026
This is a lovely thing to read, thank you! Will has a real knack for making three serious buildings feel like a genuinely good afternoon out, and your encouragement for a young company means the world to us. We would love to welcome you back to Cornerstone Tours.

Very good overview of Capital and Supreme Court. Enjoyed the guides: very informative and fortunate to go to gallery in The House
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Glad you got into the House gallery. That one depends on the day, so it is a real treat when it opens up. Thanks for the kind word about the guides, we will pass it along.
Gamal_M, Sep 2026
Derek was a great guide and would tour with him again. Supreme Court was amazing to sit in the actual chamber and learn there is actually one court higher (fun fact). The Capitol tour was a lot to take it but so glad I did.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you, Gamal. Sitting in the actual chamber is what stays with most people, and the court above it is a detail Derek enjoys sharing. Cornerstone Tours would be glad to welcome you back.

Jesse was amazing and we learned so much history on our tour! The Library of Congress is absolutely stunning!
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you, Kimberley. That reading room does most of the work for us, though Jesse likes to think he helps. Glad you got to see it properly. Come back and see us.

alice_w, Aug 2026
Very educational about our nation’s history with regards to the library of congress, the capitol. There is a fair amount of walking stairs included. Our guide Mark was great!
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you, Alice. Mark is very good on the history of both buildings, and you are right that there is a fair amount of walking and stairs, which is worth knowing in advance. Cornerstone Tours would be glad to welcome you back.

The Supreme Court and Library of Congress was wonderful.
The Capital building was ok. Getting the Capital Building tour from your Congressman aid is more inclusive.
It’s a bit long. Doing it again I would book the Supreme Court and Library of Congress as one tour, followed by a break for another.
Nazakat_A, Aug 2026

Mark was our guide and he got to know all of our names. The group was a nice size so we could all hear. Mark was very knowledgeable. It was a great introduction to Washington.
Response from Host, Jul 2026

David_A, Jul 2026
Very informative. Nice to have someone telling you about the symbolism of statues and paintings, when things were done, and by whom. Also nice to have a small group. We saw other large groups of like 30 and I wouldn't have been able to discuss and ask questions.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review, David! We're thrilled you found the tour so informative and enjoyed learning about the symbolism and history behind everything you saw. You've touched on exactly what makes us different: we keep our groups small on purpose. While other companies pack 30+ people together, we believe a guided tour should be a conversation, not a lecture. Small groups mean you can actually ask questions, dig deeper into the topics that interest you, and get the personal attention that turns a good tour into a great one. We'd love to welcome you back on another Cornerstone Tour whenever you're in DC again. Thanks for choosing us!
