Definitely was a wonderful tour glad we went on it. Highly recommend going on this tour. So much to learn and a whole lot to see. Driver and narrator were great even provided cold bottles of water. Worth the money and time. Will definitely visit DC again.

Vernon was an amazing tour guide. He was very experienced, humorous, and engaging. He told stories, gave advice about local places, and answered all questions about the area. The tour was a great mix of riding on the bus and walking around monuments to take pictures. Would absolutely recommend this tour. It was worth the time and money.

Itinerary

In the morning, meet your guide and tour group at the National Archives Building to begin this comprehensive tour around Washington DC. Travel aboard an air-conditioned, deluxe coach with a guide who knows the city inside and out.

Drive by more than 100 of Washington DC’s top sights, with stops at 10 of them, including the United States Capitol, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and more.

Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. There is a lunch break roughly halfway through the day (own expense).

This tour also features a scenic boat cruise along the Potomac River (seasonally, generally available from April through mid October), or a stop at the Jefferson Memorial at other times of year.

After a full day out, the tour ends at the original starting point. However, you can choose to upgrade to include admission to the Washington Monument, National Air and Space Museum, or the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Boat ride of Potomac River is seasonal (mid March - mid October). When the boat is not operating, you will visit the Jefferson Memorial, Air Force Memorial, and Eisenhower Memorial instead
Ticket Upgrades: 1. Due to hours of operation at the attractions, tickets will be valid for the next available day of travel after your tour. 2. Your attraction tickets will be valid for entry on the date and time assigned by the attraction, which will be noted on your entry ticket upon receipt. Date and time cannot be selected ahead of time, and we are unable to change the date and time assigned to you by the attraction. 3. The tour operator will send your ticket to you on the date of your scheduled tour. Tickets will be sent to travelers via WhatsApp. If you did not provide us with a valid WhatsApp phone number during checkout, please contact us prior to your tour date. 4. Attraction Tickets are non-refundable once issued to travelers. 5. Tickets are used for self-guided entry into the attractions. Entry is not a part of the guided tour experience and is for the traveler to use independently.
There will be standing and walking during this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as much of the tour is outdoors. DC can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Umbrellas and layers are recommended.
Cherry Blossom season (typically late March-early April) travelers will have time to walk along Cherry Blossoms trees. The official Cherry Blossom peak bloom dates are announced by the National Park Service closer to the dates. Please Note: cherry blossoms are a seasonal highlight, and when the trees are not in bloom travelers will still be able to enjoy the 10+ memorial stops and sightseeing portion of the tour without the trees. Please be advised of this when booking preferred travel date.

DC Signature Tour was a great experience. The tour covered all planned locations and duration of the stop at all location was just perfect. Bus driver Chris and tour guide Tyrone were very gentle. Tyrone explained all the monuments and its history in detail which was very clear and informative. This tour made our DC trip perfect and memorable. I would recommend, if you are planning to be in DC, then this signature tour is worth the bucks. And you will be lucky if you get Chris and Tyrone. Thank you to Chris and Tyrone for making this trip a good memory.

Great Way to See DC, But Too Much Talking Between Stops

This tour really does hit all the major spots, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. My only complaint was that the instructions at each stop were way too long and repetitive. Just give us the history, tell us where to go and what time to be back. The tour probably could have been about an hour shorter with a little less talking between stops.

One day in Washington

The tour leader, Sally, was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, informative and spoke very clearly. She really made the tour complete. Our driver, Godfrey, negotiated the roads and parking while always smiling and friendly. We really only had one full day in Washington and this tour provided us with a great overview of the National Mall and the incredible monuments.

This is a great tour for first time visitors to Washington DC. The tour hits all the main highlights of the city. You get lots of good photo opportunities. The tour bus was comfortable and the tour guide, Tyrone, was very affable and full of good information about the different historical sites. My wife and I really enjoyed this tour.

Great trip around the sights of DC

It picks up on the main road, for the brits, dont worry, its in a special lane. Our guide Tyrone was brilliant, no other words, he was a wealth of information and so proud of his City and the sights there. Our driver Kris was careful and considerate, never jolting us or braking harshly and a really good driver in a busy City. Impressed with the two guys. The cruise was an hours relaxation on a beautiful river, what is not to like there? Strongly recommend this trip in DC, you see so much, hear so much and if done early in the stay, it gives you opportunities to revisit or go somewhere that Tyrone points out. An example is the delightful lunch we had a day later in the Native American Museum's cafe (food envy, we saw the Bison ribs on the way out and we have to go, I mean, we just have to go back for that!!). When you see the people there from a great cross section, you understand how good the cafe is. In summary, a great trip, ours was a small group as the season quietens down, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tyrone, our tour guide, made this an informative and fun day! He was great with my young grandchildren! highly recommend. The boat portion of the tour was just meh, prerecorded information which was played so low no one could really hear it, but it was nice to go out on the river on a hot day

A very comprehensive tour that allowed us to see many of the popular sites. Our guy Tyrone was extremely knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Only few criticisms I had would be wanting to spend a little more time at certain locations. Also, parking was not spelled out thoroughly, nor were drop off locations at the end of our tour. We had to walk over a mile to get back to our starting point.

Poor communication

I booked this tour 2 days in advance. I arrived at 9:18am , per the instructions asks participants to arrive no later than 9:30am. I saw the signs to wait for the tour, but there was fencing closing off direct access to Pennsylvania Ave.; Due to the Nascar race. I reach out to the provider to confirm the tour is still happening and if they would like me to stand closer to 9th NE, where there is access. The number does not connect to anyone. I sent an email with no reply. I contacted Viator and the representative contacted the tour provider via phone with no answer. They also sent an email, asking them to reach out to me, still no reply. I waited another 45 minutes...And still no contact or bus arrival. I reached out to Viator a 2nd time to request a refund, which they processed. I understand that things change and at times services can not be rendered, but adequate and prompt notice would of been greatly appreciated.

Great way to see all the sites and get photo opportunities also. The city and national Mall were busy and blockaded with Grand Prix event. Would have been very hard to get around on foot to see as much as we did. We were on a time crunch in DC. Chris and Tyrone were a great driver and guide team!

Horrible Experience

0/10. We received multiple reminders in the days prior to this tour, including on the day before and the day of the tour. We arrived for the 10:00 am tour at 9:30 am. We met several others who were also excited about the tour. Unfortunately, our tour guide never showed up and the company refused to answer our calls. At 10:30 am, some people began to receive text from Viator stating the tour would be cancelled. We never received a notice at all. We reached out to Viator to apprise them of the situation. They had no answers. I was told that I would receive a full refund, but, as of this moment, I have received nothing. We spent $140 on the non-existent tour, $105 to board our dog, another $40 on transportation, not to mention the tremendous waste of time. Again, I’m still waiting to hear from Viator about my refund and how they plan to compensate us for wasting our time with a vendor they approved. I will give them some time before contacting the BBB.

We had a wonderful experience on the DC in a Day: 10+ Monuments, National Mall & Boat Cruise tour with Signature Tours of DC. It was a great way to spend the day exploring Washington, D.C., while learning so much about the city and its history. Our historian and guide, Tyrone, was absolutely amazing. As someone who was raised in D.C., he brought a unique perspective to the tour that made it feel much more personal than simply hearing facts about the monuments. His knowledge of the city, its history, landmarks, neighborhoods, and people was impressive, and you could tell that he genuinely loves his hometown. Tyrone was engaging, informative, and kept the tour interesting throughout the day. I especially appreciated the stories and historical context he provided because they helped bring the places we visited to life rather than simply checking monuments off a list. The combination of sightseeing, learning about D.C., visiting the monuments, and enjoying the seasonal boat cruise made for a full and memorable day. We really enjoyed ourselves and felt that the tour was well worth it. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Washington, D.C. — and if you have the opportunity to tour with Tyrone, you are in for a treat!

Great way to see a lot in one day. This tour covered the majority of the monuments and a water experience, which was a great way to see the city. My kids enjoyed our guy Tyrone. He did a great job connecting with them as they were the only kids on the tour plenty of times to see things and take photos. We really enjoyed it.

Good experience with appropriate stops. But we had to wait an hour or more before boarding. Thisvwas because the roads were blocked. we then had to walk a couple of blocks to another pickup point. This could have been avoided if we were told to go to the sender and pickup spot in advance. Tyrone was excellent!!
