In the morning, meet your guide and tour group at the National Archives Building to begin this comprehensive tour around Washington DC. Travel aboard an air-conditioned, deluxe coach with a guide who knows the city inside and out.
Drive by more than 100 of Washington DC’s top sights, with stops at 10 of them, including the United States Capitol, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and more.
Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. There is a lunch break roughly halfway through the day (own expense).
This tour also features a scenic boat cruise along the Potomac River (seasonally, generally available from April through mid October), or a stop at the Jefferson Memorial at other times of year.
After a full day out, the tour ends at the original starting point. However, you can choose to upgrade to include admission to the Washington Monument, National Air and Space Museum, or the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

- Boat ride of Potomac River is seasonal (mid March - mid October). When the boat is not operating, you will visit the Jefferson Memorial, Air Force Memorial, and Eisenhower Memorial instead
- Ticket Upgrades: 1. Due to hours of operation at the attractions, tickets will be valid for the next available day of travel after your tour. 2. Your attraction tickets will be valid for entry on the date and time assigned by the attraction, which will be noted on your entry ticket upon receipt. Date and time cannot be selected ahead of time, and we are unable to change the date and time assigned to you by the attraction. 3. The tour operator will send your ticket to you on the date of your scheduled tour. Tickets will be sent to travelers via WhatsApp. If you did not provide us with a valid WhatsApp phone number during checkout, please contact us prior to your tour date. 4. Attraction Tickets are non-refundable once issued to travelers. 5. Tickets are used for self-guided entry into the attractions. Entry is not a part of the guided tour experience and is for the traveler to use independently.
- There will be standing and walking during this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as much of the tour is outdoors. DC can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Umbrellas and layers are recommended.
- Cherry Blossom season (typically late March-early April) travelers will have time to walk along Cherry Blossoms trees. The official Cherry Blossom peak bloom dates are announced by the National Park Service closer to the dates. Please Note: cherry blossoms are a seasonal highlight, and when the trees are not in bloom travelers will still be able to enjoy the 10+ memorial stops and sightseeing portion of the tour without the trees. Please be advised of this when booking preferred travel date.

Highly recommend this tour and had the best day with Tour Guide Larry and Bus Driver Chris! I’ll start off by saying this is my third visit to DC in my lifetime and I’ve learned that a tour like this is the best way to cover a lot of ground in a few hours. As a kid, our family walked our feet off seeing DC. 25 years ago with my older daughter, we walked our feet off. This trip I was determined to not walk our feet off and to have someone else do the driving. The best decision I could have made. We started off at 10am and ended at 5pm. Larry was the perfect guide. Born and raised here, his passion for DC and its history, and his humor, made it an enjoyable day and we learned so much. He had conversations with each guest on the tour and won over my 19 year ago old daughter too! :) We saw the most popular monuments but it was unique to me to see the FDR Memorial and MLK Memorial which included a walk along the Tidal Basin. Stops varied from 5 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the number of memorials on each stop. We ended the day with a Potomac River cruise that was about 45 minutes long following lunch on our own at Washington Harbor in Georgetown. It’s a relaxing way to end the day. I can’t forget to thank Chris our bus driver! He had the hard job of navigating traffic and identifying locations to park - always with a smile on his face and the AC keeping the bus cool! Don’t hesitate to book this tour! Again, best decision I made for our mother daughter trip. :)

Ty was amazing! He is a natural at what he does. The whole thing was informative. My husband and I was in town for 2 days in DC and this tour was perfect to see the monuments.

Both of the guides were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They knew when and how to make the most of the experience. We are glad that we made the decision to use a service rather than try to do it on our own. We ended up not going on the boat ride because we thought we could make better use of the time visiting some other sites along the Mall. We could do a river boat trip at any time so we would not add that to the tour if we did it again.

Especially helpful if you haven't visited DC before. Tyrone was a great presenter, very knowledgeable, kind, courteous, humorous and attentive to our needs. Chris was an excellent driver and very pleasant, always keeping us comfortable and safe.

Tyrone and Chris (Driver) were exceptionally kind, informative, and charismatic throughout the entire trip! They were patient and contacted everyone that was booked for the trip and ensured everyone was able to get on the bus. The location of the pickup for the tour and the size of the bus was perfect. It was in a shaded area and the bus itself was not overcrowded and it was cleaned with no funky smell. They also offered free cold water. The tour was not rushed and we had plenty of time at all the main stops to be able to sight see and take pictures. Throughout the trip Tyrone chose the best views and they were always perfect. He was 100% transparent through out the entire trip and offered to take pictures of the groups and recommended pretty good spots to eat during the lunch break. One thing we did not expect were the limited amount of restrooms, be mindful that not every stop has one. We had plenty of time for Lunch and there were multiple locations and cuisine to choose from. The boat trip itself was repetitive on the sites we had already visited but it was a nice calm soothing ride to decompress and digest lunch. There was enough room for everyone and a bar on the boat which was unexpected but really welcoming. The tour ended with plenty of time to be able to go visit one of the Smithsonian museums. Overall 100% recommend DC Signature Tours for an awesome experience around Washington D.C. with Tyrone leading the tour!

Blood Orange Sorbet ($8) and Red Bull ($4)

This is a must if you’re going to DC! Especially if you’re a history lover! Our tour guide was incredible and very knowledgeable. (shoutout Vernon!) He was very energetic and kept everyone engaged. The tour took us to all of the national and historical landmarks we could’ve asked for. We saw the reflection pool at a rare time when it was empty for construction so that was an experience!

The tour guide was very informative. We were a little disappointed we couldn’t see the White House or the cherry blossoms in bloom. All in all it was a great tour. Would highly recommend it.

I was so disappointed that there were no specific instructions on where to meet the bus. We were given an address, but nothing as to where to specifically pick the bus up. I ended up walking around trying to find it. Someone (off the street) eventually told me to go to the back of the building. Walked back there looking for a bus marked Viator. Found one, was not the right one. Our bus said “DC tours”, no where did it say “Viator”, very confusing. Came close to missing it. Otherwise, the guide was very good and informative.

Very family friendly! A good mix of bus and walking. We got to see all the big monuments and memorials. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The bus driver was also great and a wonderful photographer!

This tour was excellent. We had Sally as our guide. She was so knowledgeable and fun! You get to see many things in a short amount of time. The boat was a combo of two tours and had a few too many people on it but was still very informative. Wear comfortable walking shoes because you will walk.

The tour guide/driver Tyrone and Chris did a fantastic job helping us! We were late, confused, and not sure how to join the tour due to our uber dropping us far away. They called, texted, and helped us meet them at the Capitol- great communication! From there, the tour moved quickly and we visited many important landmarks. Tyrone was funny, informative, and told great stories about his experiences that kept us intrigued. He was very clear about amounts of time, meetup points, and exactly what we had to do along the way. We 1000% recommend this tour!

Took my 9 year old daughter on this and it was a great time!! Saw many of the main sites and it really gave us a through experience. Chris and Sally were a great team, and I highly recommend, especially with the boat ride. Way better than planning on your own and making your way around town.
