Really great day. Super good planning it our first day in DC. Great stops, super friendly knowledgeable guide Rob and very friendly buss driver too. Saw all the majors plus a boat ride. The pace was great. My leg was injured and I never felt rushed.

Fantastic way to see the highlights of DC in only 6 hrs!

Jason_P, Jul 2026
Nick and Leah were awesome! The tour was jam packed but was fantastic. The boat tour was a bit lame and seemed like a departure from the rest of the tour. Nick isn't present on the boat cruise and the narration is canned and is a stark contrast from the interaction and enthusiasm of the rest of the tour. It's not a deal breaker, just seems like a little bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the tour. Back to that, everything else on the tour was fantastic! You see and learn a LOT in 6 hrs!

Very convenient for pictures and running history commentary and A/C In summer

Lori_C, Jul 2026
The tour overall was very good. We chose it because it hit all the main monuments from an air conditioned bus which is a must if you're in DC during July and Aug. Evan, our guide, and Ms. Barnes, our driver, were awesome. Knowledgeable, entertaining and kept everyone engaged. I was in awe of Ms. Barnes skill and patience with traffic. The only thing that made this 4 stars and not 5 was the boat portion of the tour. Evan was not allowed on the boat because it's a separate company. It was a prerecorded narration and you couldn't hear it over the boat engine. The seats were shaded which was good and there is a small bar on board selling sodas and beer/canned cocktails. Nice view from the boat for backside of the Kennedy center. Back on the bus, Evan did answer our questions about what we saw on the boat. We ended at the archives and Evan escorted us so we could skip the general admission line. This tour is for anyone that wants to save the walking for shorter visits. We all had plenty of time to take pictures and buy souvenirs at each stop. There was bottles of cold water in a cooler that was MUCH appreciated. Even my teenager enjoyed.

Quality tour made for an enjoyable day getting to see DC!

Michael_S, Jul 2026
Amazing way to see more of DC than on your own! You get to all the highlights without having to navigate traffic and parking. The tour is well timed and planned. Plenty of time at each stop. Tour guides are very knowledgeable about the history as well as can answer many practical questions and helpful along the way. Sam was an amazing guide- made sure everybody stayed with the group and explained history well. Mr Parker navigated the roads and kept the bus cool and added some humor. The only downside is that lunch is only about 30 minutes but if you get something to go and are going on the boat afterwards, you can eat on the boat ride.

Great time!

Alison_Y, Jul 2026
Amazing. Everybody was really nice and Sam and Leah really helpful. Hightly recommend this tour.👍😀

Sit in the front of the bus.

Cheryl_C, Jul 2026
It's A LOT of walking and if you sit in the back of the bus you'll be hot and it takes a long time to get off the bus and the for guide has already started talking so you miss a lot of information. The group is large so if you're on the back of the group you can't hear the tour guide.

Highly Recommend.

Joseph_K, Jul 2026
The tour guide was well informed, friendly and communicated clearly. I would recommend this tour to someone visiting DC for the first time and also those wanting to maximize limited time in Washington DC.

Excellent way to see the highlights

Melissa_B, Jul 2026
Brittany was very knowledgeable not just on what she shared that kind of her ability to answer all of our questions.

The memorials were...

Arthur_P, Jul 2026
The memorials were inspiring and our guide was very knowledgeable. My only concern is that the guide was late and we were rushed through every stop. Had to gobble lunch. The tour ended 20 minutes early.

Subpar

Avanindra_P, Jul 2026
The guide had trouble articulating and enunciating words properly - which made it hard to follow the tour effectively. I really suggest going for other tours whose guides are college educated and really know what they are talking about compared to this tour where the guide's sole qualification is "I lived in DC for a long time". Example: https://www.viator.com/tours/Washington-DC/Capitol-Hill-Guided-Small-Group-Tour/d657-41377P2 The difference in the quality of narration is night and day.

Great tour!

LaToya_A, Jul 2026
I recommend this tour! My guide was Sam and my driver was Mr. Parker. Sam was energetic and engaging! There was so much information that he provided on this tour. On each stop, he prepared the group for what to see and made it a smooth visit. I really felt like Sam was knowledgeable about every site we visited. Mr Parker did an incredible job of driving the bus and keeping us entertained. The two of them really made my tour interesting and worthwhile! When you go on this tour ask for Sam and Mr Parker, you won’t regret it! Good job fellas from your friends in Tennessee!

Great tour of DC

Jane_C, Jul 2026
This was a wonderful tour. The tour guide, Nick, knew so much history about DC and added humor to the tour too. Mr Calvin the driver was great too. I would highly recommend it.

Our Washington Vacation

John_L, Jul 2026
Very good value. Saw a ton of sites with our guide Rob. Rob was an outstanding source of knowledge with a little humor and friendly nature! Highly recommend!

Very informative, well...

Kewin_A, Jul 2026
Very informative, well designed tour. Our tour guide Derrick NOT Derrell was funny, well spoken and clear. He gives you a stand up comedic as well as a well guided experience. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to to know about the history in Washington DC. The only thing I would recommend is to let people know about the seats in the bus...either inform them that the seats that they seat in from pickup time are the seats they would be seating in for the rest of the tour or it is based on whatever seats you get from stop to stop..I prefer the former.. I think it would just avoid conflicts and disappointments.

Marchelle_E, Jul 2026
Our tour guide Sam was very knowledgeable regarding the various stops and had a great personality. Our driver, Mr. Parker was great even when having to handle an unruly passenger. The only thing about the trip that was the boat cruise did not live up to expectations. There was not much to see. Also, the place we were dropped off for lunch, there really wasn't a place that was affordable.

Good Overview of DC Sights

Linda_A, Jul 2026
Well organized and smoothly run. Plenty of picture-taking opportunities. Excellent operators. Not rushed.

Absolute must!

Jody_S, Jul 2026
If you’re visiting Washington, D.C., Parker (our tour driver) and Samuel (our tour guide) are an absolute must! They made the entire experience unforgettable. Parker kept everything running smoothly, while Samuel brought each landmark to life with his incredible knowledge and engaging stories. They were both exceptionally hospitable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. This was, without a doubt, the easiest and most enjoyable way to see all of D.C.‘s iconic sites. I can’t recommend them enough—A+++ service from start to finish! Thank you both for making our trip so memorable!

Great Tour. HOT Bus

David_M, Jul 2026
If you are unable to walk to each of the locations, be prepared to stay on a very HOT bus. (By law, they can't leave the bus running for air conditioning). Therefore, make your visit during cool weather.

Fccla Summer Tour

Denise_G, Jul 2026
Easy check in. Nice to have water available. Your guide provided great facts. All ages did well through the tour. Maybe more time at the Lincoln Memorial for those using the elevator.

Woohoo!

Robin_K, Jul 2026
We were on bus 500. Our driver was great kept us entertained. Our guide Sam was witty and very knowledgeable about the history of Washington DC, and then some. He had answers to all the questions that the guests asked. The only thing I would’ve changed was the weather, even though it was cooler than days before it was still pretty hot, we were here in July. I would maybe come a different time of year maybe April when the cherry blossoms are blooming. I got to see things. I probably never would’ve seen on my own. It was a great experience.

An excellent tour of DC

Catherine_K, Jul 2026
Was a very informative tour. Lots of laughs and lots of great sights to see, even though a few of the stops were blocked off due to the 4th festivities. Elvis was a great guide & Tania managed the logistics driving us around so well.

Do not use this company for guided tours

Rodney_S, Jul 2026
I would suggest another tour. I asked the organizer multiple times if this tour you included the Washington Monument, since I had intentionally paid for the upgrade. I was assured multiple times that it did. Surprise, it did not. Additionally, I came to Washington to learn about the history and the monuments, not to be lectured on the evils of our president

Family Trip

Linda_B, Jul 2026
Tour is very organized and Derrick and Sylvia were amazing. Adjusted the tour schedule based on road closures and events happening around DC. Would highly recommend.

Disappointing

Katie_H, Jul 2026
Disappointing. Many road closures and we only saw two of the listed stops the entire day.. Drove around in circles.

It’s just okay

Aimee_W, Jul 2026
This tour was pretty good. I wouldn’t call it excellent or anything. The monuments felt very rushed on one hand but on the other hand the tour is very long. Also, I could do without all the “people who look like me” comments from our tour guide. The phrase is getting a little tired.

A must do!

jacqualine_h, Jul 2026
The guide was very knowledgeable about the city. The tour hits all the major landmarks Even if you think you have seen it all...see it with nick

It was record heat in DC...

Jacalyn_M, Jul 2026
It was record heat in DC on the 4th of July! Despite the heat (over 100) and the rolling road closures, our driver, Ms Tiana and guide, Dion (13) did a fabulous job. Informative tour so many facts. Tons of water. Positive attitude kept the morale high.

Scorching skies, Sizzling memories

Rachelle_R, Jul 2026
It was HOT, HOT, HOT! And being the holiday weekend, many roads were closed, but that didn’t stop Buzz and Leonard, our guide and driver. They were so accommodating, finding ways to get around road closures, keeping us hydrated, and still providing the best experience possible. We are very grateful for their efforts and will remember this day forever!

Awesome!! Great experience

Dawn_R, Jul 2026
Sam was awesome! Great way to see a lot in one day vs driving and walking all over the place especially since so hot.

Washington DC tour

Kathleen_B, Jul 2026
Rob was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about all the stops; and entertained us with many side stories. It rained the entire time, but it didn’t stop us from the stops. Driver, Osa, knew his way around; no problems there. Boat ride was a bit of a disappointment. We were unable to see any of the statues the recording was pointing out, as they were hidden behind trees (Teddy Roosevelt, and the soldiers raising the flag.) It would have made more sense to tell the story behind the Potomac River being the “Nation’s River”, and why it was an escape route during the Civil War. Also, we were a party of five, split into three different tables. I was with a table of 4 other ladies and none of them were listening to the recording. Otherwise totally worth the price. Certainly covered a lot of boxes!😊

DC bus tour

Kimberly_J, Jul 2026
Bus driver and tour guide were absolutely fantastic! It was very unfortunate that we missed several stops on the itinerary due to roads and places being closed.
