Great way to see the city at night. Easy on off and lots of good info! The monuments shine at night. The Korean and MKL memorial were both striking at night.

It was well narrated by our guide but it was very cold outside and I did not realize there would be no heat generated by the vehicle and not blankets provided by our guide. Purchasers need to be made aware of this.

Best tour day one

It is an open vehicle so dress appropriately Jacket in early April should have been on my list. Still a great tour and friendly guide

Great way to see the sights in DC! Tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. Liked that we were in a small group and not a big tour bus.

Dena was our guide and she was wonderful! Knowledgeable and so friendly. She even let me use her battery charger when my phone was about to die. Great lady!

Don’t trust the “system”- always verify reservations with the actual company- Viator doesn’t follow through

Michelle_P, Apr 2026
After receiving multiple emails confirming our reservation and also receiving tickets for our tour, the tour operator said they did not have us on their reservation list. We arrived with valid tickets for the tour on the appropriate day and time. We were turned away. We scheduled the tour with Intrepid Urban Adventures via Viator. After a lengthy discussion with Viator, they referred me to one email sent 7 days after the confirmation to notify me of “unexpected operational constraints” which made them “unable to honor our booking. I did not see the email, and no further emails or attempts to contact me regarding the cancellation were made. I did however receive at least 9 emails reminding me of our reservation in addition to notification alerts up to the time of our tour. With all of the reminders and congratulations on our DC Tour, I had no reason to doubt the reservation validity. Viator, now points out that they sent me an e-mail (one) and I didn’t reply. This is very poor customer care. I will definitely selection a different company for reservations in the future. They cannot explain why I was issued tickets and continued to receive confirmation/reminder emails for 6 days after the email (which I didn’t see) letting me know I couldn’t be accommodated and should reply. I am sure the tour is fine, but this reservation company is not.

Disappointing

Susan_P, Apr 2026
My night time electric cart tour that i booked a month on advance was cancelled because it was overbooked but i was never sent an email. I went to the meeting spot on March 31st at 7:45pm and was told it had been cancelled a week before. Yet on Monday March 30th I received an email confirming my upcoming tour and my credit card was charged.

Awesome team event.

Great experience with coworkers! Peter was well-prepared and entertaining. He had a depth of knowledge so could answer questions and moved us nimbly from one exciting site to the next. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Amazing experience!

Heather_R, Mar 2026
Do it!!!! I was with someone who had never been to DC before and this was the perfect way for them to get in all of the major monuments. Also, even if you’ve seen them before, seeing them at night is completely different and so worth it in addition to the knowledgeable guide who will give you fun and interesting facts throughout the tour. We had Joel, and he was fantastic. I cannot say enough good things. Highly recommend!!!

Cold but beautiful!

Rachel_S, Mar 2026
Joel was a great guide and we liked the carts and his knowledge. It was pretty seeing everything lit up at night. It turned out to be quite cold so maybe blankets provided would have been nice.

Great way to see the monuments

Melinda_S, Mar 2026
We had such a great time cruising DC in the electric golf cart to see the monuments. Our driver Peter shared a lot of history about the city and areas we passed through and gave us tips on places to visit. A cold but fun evening. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed the nighttime tour of Washington Monuments. It was informative and involved all the major monuments and buildings around town. Our guide, Peter, was excellent. We thought 2 hours was the perfect amount of time for this tour.

BOOK NOW! Wonderful night!

Lashlee_W, Mar 2026
Amazing experience! Kids favorite night of the whole trip! Joel did a great job with our tour, making things fun, interesting, and entertaining for our whole family!!

Perfect way to see everything at once

Wendy_E, Mar 2026
Chris our tour guide was great! Went around historic sites in downtown Washington and allowed us to look around + take pics! Very informative learned cool facts and helped us know our way around better for the rest of the trip!

Great trip around the monuments!

Cindy_R, Mar 2026
The tour guide was very knowledgeable. He grew up here so he had lots of information. He did a fabulous job.

Family UNfriendly Service

Amber_G, Mar 2026
I booked this tour for me and my two children. The guide was going to have one of my minor children sit more than a row away and would not accommodate closer seating arrangements. When I voiced my concern, the guide told me I was being combative and unreasonable. They say the seats are first come first serve, but the guide gave the last person to show up the seat in front of me and one of my children instead of allowing my child to sit there. The guide was condescending the entire time. Due to the rude and condescending interaction from the guide, I requested a refund. The guide told me I had to contact the company to get a refund. The company refused to issue a refund. Having gone on many tours on many travel adventures, this is by far the worst experience I have encountered. This is not a family friendly tour.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Dear Amber, We sincerely apologize that our seating arrangements didn't meet your expectations. Our goal is always to provide a family-friendly experience, and we regret the frustration this caused you and your children. While our tours operate on a first-come, first-served seating policy, we take your feedback regarding the interaction with our guide seriously and will use it for internal training. We have issued a full refund as a gesture of goodwill, as we truly value our guests' satisfaction. We wish you and your family better travels ahead. Best regards, The Intrepid Urban Adventures Team

Excellant Tour!

Great way to see the monuments on a beautiful night

Mary_U, Mar 2026
Fun tour in a small group. Lorenzo was friendly and knowledgeable of all the monuments and offered to take pictures of our party at each stop, which was nice. It’s very easy to see the monuments from the open car. Be aware that if your party is an odd number like ours was, you might be split up in the car. It’s OK, it’s a small enough vehicle that you can still talk and you get off to walk around several times.

Cold, this time of year, but worth it…just bundle up!!!

Katrina_S, Dec 2025
This time of year, it is VERY cold, so bundle up, but it’s a great, very informative, beautiful tour. We had Joel, and his knowledge was amazing! He is a fairly new citizen of our great country, and he knew more of the history than we did. Impressive…and fun, to boot!

Great Guide - but a few suggestions.

Chris_D, Dec 2025
The tour guide was great - knew his stuff and had a solid personality. We didn't "drive by" Jefferson Memorial - we saw it from a mile away. That really should be included on your list to view and limit the amount of time spent at MLK memorial.

Chilly but awesome!

Carol_S, Nov 2025
An excellent way to see the monuments and get some history and background on the area. Highly recommend!

Great trip with a great driver

Melissa_O, Nov 2025
