The dance music didn’t really reflect the customers on the cruise. Some of it was good but a lot of the time the floor was empty.

It was a great staff, great food and an overall great experience.
I was a bit worried when we saw about 300 people boarding but the ferry is used for other functions while you are on your dinner cruise. There was a company party and some HS function and just the upper level is reserved for the diners. Awesome views of the city while dining? We would be willing to do that again.

The good points are that the views are divine, and the boat is nice and clean. The people checking in a very nice and welcoming.
The food is not great- it's like food you would get at an "upscale" cafeteria. Not as bad as school, but not really restaurant level either. Again, I didn't really expect it to be fantastic - you preorder everything all at once and if you order the steak, you're told "it's only cooked at medium, is that okay?" Which is what happened with me, which is why I said it's like a cafeteria. This is why I took one star off.
My biggest complaint was the server named "Naya" or "Maya". She was nice enough but there was another person that was helping her with our table (we were only 3). The reason I say this is because we didn't see alot of her. We just had the water and coffee - we didn't wave her down and bother her or anything. But at the end of the night, she came to our table with her credit card machine, and pretty much begged for a tip. She said they didn't make alot of money on the boat because it didn't go out often, and told us several times they take credit card or cash. The trip costed me $454, for 3 adults. It wasn't a cheap trip by any means. I am a tipper, I have never left without tipping, anywhere I have gone. But I felt she was aggressive and I felt is was poor form. This was the only time in my life I did not tip. My advice to the cruise people, is - if you need to change your prices, do so - but I would defiantly talk to my staff about following people around with the credit card machine. Most people like to be able to make that decision on their own.
I would still recommend it to anyone. You can't beat the views, nice music and dj too.

Easy boarding. Excellent personnel. First class service. Amazing food. My husband has trouble going up and down stairs. Several staff helped him as if they do it everyday.

We had a great time! The ticket purchasing was easy, couldn’t have asked for better parking (right on pier 3, next to the boat) the food was excellent and the length of the cruise was perfect. The boat was very spacious, very clean, lots of single restrooms and a big bar. We had a great waiter as well.

Our group was very frustrated that by the time they took our food orders, they were completely out of salmon and only had a few steaks left. We were a group of 11. For the amount we paid, it’s completely unacceptable to run out of food.

Our family recently attended the San Francisco Premier Dinner Dance Cruise as part of a dinner special, and while it was a pleasant experience overall, there were areas where we felt improvements could be made.
First, I want to commend the staff for their professionalism and kindness. From the moment we boarded, they were attentive and courteous, which helped make the evening enjoyable. That said, the boarding process at the Southgate was a bit confusing. Clearer signage or guidance would have been helpful, as it was unclear where smaller groups, larger groups, or individuals should stand while waiting to board. This initial clarity would have set a smoother tone for the evening.
Regarding the food, the overall quality and variety did not meet our expectations, especially considering the cost of the package. The main courses were just satisfactory, but I anticipated better quality and more options—particularly for young children. For example, I ordered the chicken entrée for my son, and unfortunately, it was undercooked, with visible pink inside. While the server promptly apologized and offered alternatives, there wasn’t much on the menu that seemed suitable or appetizing for a child. I would recommend expanding the menu to include more kid-friendly options and ensuring the quality of the dishes matches the premium price.
Another point to note is the additional cost of items. While I understand that extras like drinks or upgrades come at an additional expense, it felt as though purchasing add-ons was necessary to elevate the overall experience. Given the price of the initial package, more inclusive options or higher-quality offerings would enhance customer satisfaction.
On a positive note, the DJ was phenomenal! The music and dance floor added a vibrant, fun atmosphere that our family thoroughly enjoyed. The bar, while offering a good selection, was a bit overpriced, which limited the enjoyment for those who were looking to indulge a bit more.
In summary, the cruise offered a pleasant evening with friendly staff and great entertainment. However, improvements in menu variety, food quality, and the boarding process would make the experience feel more in line with its premium cost.

This was a very classy event I definitely would do and recommend to anyone . The only thing I noticed is when I declined to purchase the boarding pictures or the add on appetizers before the dinner that I purchased, I felt the attitude of staff changed. Again the food and the experience of the cruise was awesome.

Starting in October the time should be set back one hour to 6 PM and instead of seven that way you could actually see the sunset by the time we started our trip it was already dark. Parking is also very expensive.

I didn't want to go to my own party at first, but so glad I did. It turned out to be the best Birthday I ever had and I just turned 50 years young. Most memorable was the dancing and the views. The DJ was awesome and the food was good. I would definitely recommend and I'm definitely coming back for more fun.

The views were lovely.Crew helpful & friendly.Dinner was adequate.A bit average for money.Viator ticket advised turning up at 5.30.We were not allowed board until 6.30.Waiting on pier for over an hour in the cold.Sailed at 7pm.Liked the ambiance.D.J.unfriendly , sullen and lacked character.
