Meet your guide and small group in Chinatown to start your exploration of some of San Francisco's most dynamic neighborhoods. I also really appreciate you mentioning the route and walking. While the tour does cover about 7,500 steps, it’s designed to be an easy, relaxed walk overall. We stay within a fairly small area, most of it is on flat ground, and we take frequent stops so guests can rest, eat, and enjoy each location at a comfortable pace. There are a couple of gradual inclines as we move between Chinatown and North Beach, but we do everything we can to keep it manageable and enjoyable for everyone.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the experience overall, and that the tea tasting with Uncle Gee at Vital Tea Leaf stood out—that part is always really special.

Decided at last minute to take a guided walking tour instead of wandering around on my own on my one free day in SF. Our knowledgeable, personable guide shared many interesting facts, stories and urban legends….along with food sampling along the way. I definitely recommend this tour….just long enough to get a good feel for Chinatown and North Beach.

Excellent tour that gave us a real feel for the city. Loved that Brian was from the area and loved to discuss the history. Brian took his time and adjusted due to the heavy rain. The stops were not rushed and he took his time at each location.

Easy walking pace. Don't eat before you go. Wonderful food. The highlight for me was the tea tasting- very informative and fun. Our group was about 11 and very compatible. Felt like a relaxed pace with good spacing of tastings and stops.

Great afternoon walking around Chinatown and North Beach. Several stops for food that were all delicious. Entertaining stop to sample and learn about tea. The guide knew so much about the buildings, people and history we couldn’t have learned on our own.
Be prepared to walk a lot on hilly terrain. The guide was great about frequent stops to tell a story or point something out so I wasn’t to exhausted during the day but am feeling it today!

Absolutely fantastic. The tour guide was super cool, as were all the stops. Especially loved Mr. Kenny at the tea shop! He served the most amazing Chai Tea I have ever had! And make sure to ask about the decaf version, you won't be disappointed.
