Very good time on Alcatraz Island. Great history from before, during and after its time as a Maximum Security Prison. Able to explore the island at one’s pace is convenient.

Give yourself plenty of time to cover the whole island, look out for special items that happen during your visit. Bring sweater/hoodie if the weather looks indifferent

Excellent experience! Very helpful staff. It took me 2.5 hrs to get through the tour. There are return ferry boats that leave frequently from Alcatraz.

Super cool experience. I wouldn't recommend standing on the front of the ferry as we got splashed by a big wave and we're soaked. The gift shop is priced very fairly. The audio tour is a must. The entire experience is a must and achievable on a budget.

The Night tour feels too rushed. If you listen to everything on the audio tour and stop to listen to a “live talk”, you probably won’t make it to the “Special cell door closing demonstration”. At least we didn’t. We definitely heard them closing but it would’ve been nice to see them. They say you can go and look around but you don’t really have time because the prison closes at 9:00. My advice is to do the night tour. Just don’t stop to listen to any live talks. Listen to the audio and do what it says. Move, move, move! ;-)

Good night tour! Easy to explore Alcatraz. Boat cruise to and from alcatraz on top deck of boat gives great views! Only disappointing thing is many areas closed to public. Wish more buildings were open to explore.

Great information through the audio tour and displays around the island
A part of the island was closed due to ongoing repairs and when we left the island was closing for a week for essential repairs so glad we got to go
While we were there the last inmate was signing books so an added bonus

A lot of climbing up hills, but the trek is well worth it. To experience what the inmates probably felt in such tight quarters and then there is the 'hole'. Another scary experience altogether.

Hi I'm very unsatisfied with this tour. I booked this with the impression it had a night cruise included, which it did not. I would have not booked this tour otherwise. You charged me double of what it would normally cost to visit Alcatraz! Please expect a poor review online
