We had an enjoyable time on the wine tour. It was a nice ride in an air conditioned bus with an amusing driver. We visited two different vineyards and tried several different wines. There was no hard sale tactics, just a genuine imparting of knowledge regarding the wines we tried. The folks at each vineyard were lovely!

Sit back and enjoy the views.! I'm so glad I chose this tour instead of trying to navigate my own way through wine country... It was informative and quite a comfy ride. Remember though, be on time, take a drink/snacks for the drive out there and wear comfortable shoes! I can't stress that last one enough...

Perfect half day trip for a Napa Experience in a shorter timeframe!

Brian_G, Apr 2026
There’s a little bit of driving based on traffic but overall a great experience. I went with a few family members for their birthday while we were in SF for a short trip. We had an older family member who wouldn’t be able to stand for a long time so this was a good mix of the Napa experience with some time in the day to still do other things.

Good wine. Good tour. Good driver. But holy the bus needs new shocks. I think the seat went thru me at one point

Relaxed, Enjoyable Half-Day in Wine Country

Yanmin_L, Sep 2025
As a local living in San Francisco, I appreciated how stress-free this tour made visiting Napa — no need to worry about logistics or driving, everything was taken care of, which made for a relaxed experience. Visiting two wineries felt just right for a half-day trip — enough variety without feeling rushed or overly tipsy (three might have been too much) — though I do wish we had an extra 15–20 minutes at each stop to linger longer. The tour includes a 24-hour bus pass, which I haven’t used yet, and the instructions on when and how to activate it weren’t super clear, but customer service responded quickly and assured me I could use it later, which was helpful. I initially thought the price was a bit steep for a half-day tour, but assuming I’m able to successfully use the 24-hour bus pass (planning to do so in a few weeks), it actually seems like a pretty good deal. All in all, a smooth and enjoyable way to spend a relaxed day in wine country without any hassle.

The first winery, Madonna, was great. The guide was interesting and the wines were good. The second winery, Ru Vango, allowed us a better view and some interesting artwork but I didn’t care for the wine.

Mona_P, Sep 2025
We had a very nice time very punctual and safe driver. We had a very difficult time getting the bus driver to stop for a bathroom break after the wineries. The drive home took longer than expected. He wouldn’t unlock the bathroom door in the bus and it took me 3-4 tries to convince him stop. There were multiple people who needed to use the restroom.

Derrick_G, Aug 2025
The wine tour overall was average. The bus driver, however, was excellent. She shared interesting history about San Francisco, pointed out landmarks along the way, and even made an extra stop on the return trip so everyone could capture great photos with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Our first stop, Madonna Estate Winery, was a highlight. The host was knowledgeable, answered questions thoroughly, and was very generous with the wine samples. Unfortunately, our second stop at Ru Vanga Winery was less enjoyable. Our group had to wait about 15 minutes before the tour began, as they were running behind. The host seemed unprepared and surprised to be leading our group. Her presentation was underwhelming, focusing heavily on the history of the owner rather than providing meaningful information about the wines, winemaking process, or unique characteristics of what we were tasting. She even made a disparaging remark about the previous owners, which felt unprofessional. With a different host, the Ru Vanga experience could certainly improve, but as it stands, it fell short of expectations.

This was a great way to see the wineries. We were a little surprised we went to Napa since we signed up for a trip to Sonoma. The wineries were beautiful, there could be more simultaneous wine tasting while the guides are talking. Our driver was also very kind and friendly! Although, a little overstimulating at times during the bus ride with lots of speaking. Overall a fun way to experience wine country.

Don’t make me pull this bus over!

Adina_L, Jul 2025
Before you get on that bus, make sure that you check that the toilet is working number one number two that the driver actually has a sense of humor. You don’t leave with 26 people in your bus and go on a two vineyard wine tour and not expect them to be happy and laughing and maybe a little loud. You don’t pull the bus over until the people they have to be quiet. We weren’t jumping in our seats. We weren’t throwing anything. There was just a few of us that were laughing And talking, and this bus driver pulled the bus over to the side of the road to get out so that he could get ahold of himself. I will give you, we are having a lot of laughs telling our friends about this bus driver! The wine tour itself, the first place that we went to, the Madonna winery was awesome. Five generations all working there and they cared about the product. The second winery, Ru Vohng was pretentious and you could tell that it was just being put on for some doctors to park their money at.

A good day!

Alexis_G, Jul 2025
I enjoyed both wineries and the day was breathtaking! I attended solo and made 2 friends immediately. The tour was good, wine was stellar and tour guides did great. The return trip home was terrible. 2 different groups threw up which dampened our trip just a tad.

Muir Woods Tour

Great mini trip to Napa/Sonoma. Driver James was really sweet. Madonna was so great, family owned business which we love. RuVango was full of surreal art beautiful!

Stellar wine experience

Omie_M, Jun 2025
Debi was an amazing guide and driver. She was attentive to our wants and she made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. The visits to the wineries were excellent, with plentiful of wine, great information and history, and opportunities for photos and memories to be made.

Eat before you go . Bathroom on bus was not working so plan accordingly or ask beforehand. Bring comfortable shoes

Small wine tour

Tina_S, Jun 2025
Small group and bus, hour drive to visit two wineries. Each provided three tastings. Both lovely. Half day was perfect amount of time. Driver ended tour with a stop on a lookout to get good pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.

A great time!

Jennifer_B, May 2025
We had the best time! Grady was our tour guide and he was amazing! It was the perfect length of time. It’s about an hour and a half drive to the wineries so we were on the bus quite a bit. On the way there Grady told us a lot about the places we were passing by. It was a beautiful day and we would give it 10/10!

Wine country

Scott_H, May 2025
The wineries that this tour took us to were informative, but not a lot of time spent on the actual business of making wine. They seem to be much more interested in selling their wares to the tourist who were at the winery. As such, taking us to two wineries in an afternoon was probably superfluous.

Excellent experience. The Ru Vango winery was a special treat. A wonderful half day tour on a beautiful afternoon in NorCal.

Good large tour but loud passengers

Theresa_G, May 2025
Large group on a tour bus. Several passengers were extremely loud and rude. It made it difficult to hear the tour guide who did her best. It also made it difficult to hear the wine tour leaders who also tried their best. Good scenery and bus was comfortable

Good wine tour experience

SaceyLee_W, May 2025
Make sure you take a snack or light lunch. Tour guide Patrick was amazing. Only distraction was another guest who was late and was talking over the tour guide the whole time. Otherwuse, great experience.

Grady the Great!

Bus driver Grady was excellent, very knowledgeable. 1st vineyard in Sonoma was beside a highway, so sitting outside all you heard was traffic. 2nd vineyard was very good, great atmosphere all around. It was in Napa County and not Napa Valley, therefore advertisement is misleading

The first winery we visited was exceptional. We enjoyed the informational wine making tutorial. The employees were pleasant and very friendly, and, yes, the wine was delicious!!! The second winery was beautiful, however, not very informative. The employees were nice enough, but i felt as though they were not as welcoming as the first winery.

Awesome winery tour

Highly recommend. Great experience. Loved the two wineries in Napa that we went to. Great wine and great ambiance.

California Wine experience

Diane_B, Mar 2025
Bus ride over the Golden Gate Bridge with lots of information about San Francisco history. Then we learned about Napa Valley & stages of grape developments. We visited 2 wineries that were very different. One an old family vineyard the other a newly acquired winery.
