Great Experience!

I highly recommend taking this Golden Gate Park tour with John! He was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the park, its history, the flora and fauna and of course, the microclimates of the city. We also got some good recommendations for eats nearby as well as an accurate weather forecast for the remaining days of our visit.

I loved John's tour of Golden Gate Park. I highly recommend it for families and anyone into nature and local history. My parents, who are in their 70s and from out-of-state, enjoyed the tranquil walk through several different sections of our park and were wowed by the diverse environments John chose to show us. He wove in his deep knowledge of nature, climate and history to help us understand where we were without being overly didactic. John himself is a pleasure to talk with—a warm, friendly person who truly enjoys getting to know travelers. He even knows some of the park's landscapers and gardeners; John introduced us to a head gardener and we got ask him questions about how he designed a certain section. It was really cool.

I have lived in S.F. for 40 years and I think every San Franciscan and visitor would LOVE this tour! John is so knowledgeable and full of interesting little tidbits about S.F. and the park! John has the perfect personality to deal with all kinds of people! PS my second time to take this tour and enjoyed it as much as I did last time!

Having spent my life consistently visiting San Francisco, John managed to take me to sections of Golden Gate Park that I've never been to! It was wonderful to get educated on the historic trees in the area and see the fun sides of the park. The pace was also really nice and relaxing. Lots of time to take pictures, and John takes the best ones! Highly recommend!

John went above and beyond what we expected, would've happily paid double for this tour! Tons of fun facts along the route and he is also very knowledgeable on plant life I don't think we had a question he couldn't answer! Highly recommend this tour!!
