Alcatraz was fine but was not able to use the golden gate voucher as the terminal was closed. Feel this was over priced as only able to do Alcatraz. Feel like I was duped with the cost as the golden gate ferry was not able to be accessed. Will not recommend. Blue and Gold Fleet want printed copies in a digital world and you can't even redeem your voucher once you find somewhere to print it.

We sent you Alcatraz for the morning and you chose to show up once the box office closed for your afternoon bay cruise.
We told you in advance to check the times for the bay cruise and then attend the time slot that matches your Alcatraz.

The ferry was comfortable and the tour was informative. The view pretty. You can see the city and the Golden Gate Bridge from the island

We booked the alcatraz and bay cruise as a combo. We were canceled by you for the alcatraz tour but you did not cancel the bay cruise. However when we rebook with anyone else, it's sold as a combo. I am not taking the bag cruise 2x.
Did not refund the bay cruise portion. Would highly recommend you check with other companies, prices are better and communication is much better.

Great experience. Hike up to Alcatraz is quite steep but great views from the top.
Guided tour was very interesting. Great to learn about the history.
Boat ride was choppy but enjoyable.
If you do the bay cruise, you must pre-print your voucher - wish we were told about this earlier.

When we were getting off the boat we almost turned around because of the smell and the black flies. The black flies on the boat were disgusting enough, but once we got to Alcatraz it was much worse. They were in everyones hair and on there clothes bouncing off peoples faces and legs. If you go, bring a mask and fly spray. It ruined the experience for us as we weren’t prepared for it. We would have worn long pants, mask and brought spray if we would have known.

Ambiguous up until the last moment. No real confirmation directly to the phone up until I had to ask at the last minute.
Well, overpriced and clearly the same experience as if I had just bought a ticket the same day with the other 300 people that takes the boat to Alcatraz. There was no separate Golden Gate expedition so to speak.
Yes, you can see it but not worth the hundred plus dollars per person with all the different options. It’s clearly all the same thing. It’s just something that you get away with to us consumers.

Our favorite customer is the one who did not plan for their sold out summer weekend and then got access last minute from us!! Those are the ones who say "plan better" to warn others.
We literally cater to those who need us the most!
We also send your tickets two days prior and even text you! Not sure what your level of preplanning is but you certainly get one star for it!

This is a 3rd party reservation app that is not user friendly and doesn’t respond to messages. I got flooded with welcome messages after I booked and what looked like a ticket confirmation so I assumed I was booked.. However amount the welcome and confirmation emails I also received another message (which I missed ) stating there were no openings for the day I requested. I didn’t know about this until I went to the doc where I learned my confirmation was not actually a confirmation. This email offered to choose another day or request a refund . I wrote in a chat window that if there were no openings for the following day I wanted a refund. Never heard back from them

A trip to Alcatraz is a very nice and interesting
experience. However a Bay trip is not worth it. Especially if the sky is not totally clear the Bay trip is a waste of the money. We took it only because we were to late to book only a trip to Alcatraz and the only optio to visit Alcatraz was a combo trip Alcatraz + Bay view. I really do not recommend a Bay view trip.

This has nothing to do with the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s a ferry ride to Alcatraz island. And it does not display any time on the reservation. I had to start a chat with Viator. The person on the chat said they would communicate with the tour operator. Asked if I wanted a 9 or 4:30 time slot. I said 4:30. When I double checked the email reservation it had a 10:20 booking. Luckily I could make it.

Tour guide abandoned us when we were 10 mins late due to traffic. Told us Alcatraz would deny us entry which wasn't true. Never got the golden gate bridge cruise. Effectively paid 3X for the Alcatraz tour.

Ferry ride was good, Alcatraz was good. Audio tour was a bit hard to follow the location prompts but still very usable. Gave this 4 stars because we were unable to do the Golden Gate Bridge boat tour because it was mandatory to have paper tickets (cell phone tickets not allowed) and we had no way to print them. Viator did not tell us this technicality before booking, only became known once they sent the tickets to us the day before the tour. I felt it was a bit deceitful

Never book with Trip advisor or Viator!!! I was cancelled the day before the tour. Forced to rebook at higher price which was then rescheduled last minute. Then I was told it was my fault. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. 0 stars!

The way Viator advertised this tour made it seem it was group tour together and back to back but no once we got to Alcatraz tour entrance at 8am they explained Viator picked a ferry time for us at 11am so we had to wait 3 hours to go on Alcatraz Ferry. We could not go on earlier ferry they were sold out that day. Then we had to pick another time for Bay tour that would not conflict with Alcatraz .Mind you they just open booth for Bay Cruise at 11am. I think it’s better to book ahead with Alcatraz and Bay Cruise companies directly according to your schedule.

You booked two different reservations in two different orders. We have 200 orders a day and had no indication you were together with any one else. That information was never told to us until late in the process when all tickets were exhausted. At that point we had no help for you. Next time book all at once or give us a call well in advance and let us know who you are with! As well; you do not pick a time anywhere from 8-4pm. We put in huge bold letters "we assign a time!".

Alcatraz was really interesting and the self guided audio was very informative. Definitely worth a visit with a short ferry ride over to the island. We also had the bay cruise, which is a separate boat from back at the pier, a great way to see the bay and golden gate bridge.

It was pricey. For unplanned and short notice trip, it's a good option. You are paying the premium for not planning ahead. The direct booking for Alcatraz is always full and you need to book it in advance. For those who cannot do it, this is a good option.

We enjoyed the Alcatraz trip and Golden Gate cruise was OK.
However, it was really hard to secure vouchers and printouts to obtain tickets. Also, I received several emails that sounded like they had information on the trip, but really we’re trying to sell additional trips.

only downside tried to book golden gate bridge tour before going to Alcatraz. but they don’t open until 10 am and we were leaving for alcatraz at 9:45
so had to book when we returned and as it’s a first come first serve just hope we could get on the golden gate bridge cruise
