I insisted on a ghost tour on my recent trip to San Francisco and Christian Cagigal’s tour was nothing short of amazing. We met in front of The Healing Center underneath a set of impressive eucalyptus trees. Christian is a self-admitted septic and amazing historian. With a sense of humor and while remaining neutral he led us to several spots of purported haunting sadness. I was impressed with the histories of amazing pioneer women of San Francisco. There was definitely a feeling of eerie anticipation in the areas we stopped at, and Christian even related accounts and anecdotes from members of the communities , both far and in recent times. I left with my curiosity piqued. And I received a set of reference materials to further my education. This hour and a half tour is perfect for you if you are interested in a knowledgeable and easy to follow tour guide, a pleasant evening walk and the histories and mysteries of this culture-rich city. I highly recommend and would visit other events led by Christian . The hills are alive !

Christian is an amazing tour guide and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. He let's you know what is fact and what is fiction, but keeps it all entertaining! The walk is smooth enough and the value is beyond belief. This is an outstanding tour and I cannot recommend it enough. If you're in the San Francisco area, you should take this tour. You won't regret it.

Had an amazing experience tonight with my friend. It was a last minute event because I wanted to go out of our norm of our usual visit. Christian was hilarious and kept us entertained. Did we experience anything? Nope but that's okay because I mainly did it for the spooky history lesson, which I love. Highly recommend if you are staying near by.

The tour started punctually with our thematically dressed (cool lantern and all) tour guide and owner operator, Christian. He's the perfect blend of warmth, engaging, humerous and a wealth of knowledge. We were given a clear outline of what the tour would consist of.
In addition to the tons of ghost stories, we learned so much history about the former(😉?) occupants. The tour ended at at the stunning Butterfly Bar inside the Hotel Majestic.
We decided to stick around and enjoy delicious cocktails before heading back to our hotel. The final personal touch was receiveing an email with book suggestions I plan on ordering.

Everyone enjoyed learning about the history of San Francisco and the ghosts that haunt the houses we visited. I highly recommend this ghost tour. This was our first ghost tour and Christian did an amazing job. Even my teenagers enjoyed it.

Great learning about the City’s history , tour guide was very entertaining and kept everything interesting. Enjoyed the walk and enjoyed all the landmarks and dark history they have. Great story telling can’t wIt for Halloween to take another scary tour.

What a great time. We did this tour in July and the night was perfect. The tour is part spooky, part historical (which I love) and gives you a good sense of the city's haunted past. Christian is a delight. Animated, patient and engaging. Definitely a must do!

The tour and information was amazing. The tour group was a little annoying and obnoxious (which is not the fault of tour or the guide in any way) it did take away from the fantasy. Stories were very historical which was awesome - coming from Chicago and a seasoned Atlas Obscura patron, I was disappointed in the lack of murder.

Magical, lovely, empowering, informative and entertaining. We loved this tour! It was like a beautiful memory study of some pretty badass women that didn’t play by the rules and so society turned them into ghost stories. Our host was wonderful, very funny, and clearly very passionate about history. He did a wonderful job providing relevant insights into the lives of each “ghost” as well as giving us some fascinating history of the city itself. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for some fascinating history and some magical, fun “spooky-ness” rather than cheap jump scares. Whether you’re a Bay native or an out-of-town visitor, BOOK THIS TOUR NOW for a “jaunt”-ing good time.

Fun and spooky stories. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Our 13 & 16 yr old enjoyed the tour as well. The walk was mild, only one hill to speak of. Layer up depending on the weather.

Overall the tour was fun, interesting, and informative! But the best part was the guide. He told enough jokes and fun facts woven in to the history bits to make it enjoyable and even keep my children (15 and 10) entertained! We highly recommend taking this tour when you visit SF, and the only thing that would have made this better would have been to have a paranormal experience, if you believe in that ;)

The SF Ghost Tour was great! Christian (our guide) was knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining. We brought our kids (ages 17,13, and 10) with us, and we all enjoyed it thoroughly.
