Giving it 5 stars even though we had some issues! We are in Italy for our honeymoon and there was some sort of mixup with our tix and we had to start the tour an hour later. We ere concerned at first that we would miss the Vatican all together as we were only in Rome for 48 hours… the tour guide took us on the second half of the tour an then we had to wait about 45 min to do the second part of the tour at 5:30pm. It ended up working out and although it was an inconvenience everyone. Was patient and also worked diligently to rectify the problem. We would have been really upset if we came all the way to Rome and don’t see the Vatican.

The ticket did exactly as advertised. Ticket supplier took us to the required area and advised which routes to take to skip the queues. We had no waiting (at 7.45am) at any point during the tour. Perfection!

This was the highlight of our trip to Rome and we are not religious. It was extremely organized and our guide John was downright amazing. The information he gave was extensive and his delivery was professional, friendly and done in such an interesting manner. If you are lucky enough to get Catalina as your tour guide, you are getting one of the most amazing and knowledgeable tour guides I have ever had the please of touring with…of course, seeing the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palestine Hills was absolutely stunning, BUT having her as our tour guide made this tour an absolute dream, her telling us so much more of the history then you could ever get on your own. Informative Historical Tour

This walking tour takes you through the well-known parts of the Colosseum with a knowledgeable guide. If you're interested in Roman history, this is a great tour. Two comments about the Colosseum, not this tour: 1. There's not a lot of shade. Think sunscreen. 2. It's not very wheelchair friendly.

Excellent tour - recommended

I would highly recommend this trip. It was a last minute booking and we had to accommodate some changes for a family member, but it was no trouble. The afternoon of our trip it was during a biblical amount of rain, but despite the weather, Serena made it engaging and very informative and was accommodating of my sons aged 11 and 8. She had so much knowledge and it really brought it alive, especially with the overlay of pictures that others have mentioned. I really recommend this tour.

Great skip the line experience!

My family and I were very happy with this experience. My younger kids really did not want to do a guided tour and we wanted to go at our own pace. This tour was perfect for that. On top of that, it was easy to meet up prior to the tour and we were guided right to the front of the line with clear instructions. Met and, maybe slightly, exceeded expectations!

A good tour

We had a fabulous tour guide Martina who was very easy going and knowledgeable. It was a great company to book through and we do recommend this to others. The tour itself we enjoyed but weren't overally blown away by it, even the sistine chapel surprisingly. Huge crowds also made the experience a little unpleasant unfortunately.

Super easy to book and meet the guide in front of the Caffe Vaticano right across from the entrance lines to the museums. Get there early to grab a coffee. This is not a guided tour, but you can download audio guides to listen to while you walk through the museums and Sistine Chapel.

Wonderful Tour and Great Guide

Our tour of the Vatican was wonderful! Loreley was a great guide: friendly, informed, and informative. She was really effective in moving us through the crowds and making sure we saw everything we came to see, and she clearly enjoyed sharing her knowledge. In the Sistine Chapel, we had a great private conversation about the frescos and about what it must have been like for Michelangelo to paint them. It was nice to be sharing ideas with someone who knew the Chapel so well. We were especially pleased that the tour left us to explore St. Peter's Basilica on our own with no time limitation. We probably spent two additional hours exploring this extraordinary church. EcoArt was great to do business with. They were contact with us throughout the process of planning the tour and meeting Loreley. They let us know early on that the Last Judgement fresco was being restored and we couldn't see it, so there was no surprise when we got to the Chapel. They checked in with us just before the tour to ensure we know when and where to meet. They were also easy to communicate with when we were worried they we would be late for the start of the tour (there was a downpour that morning) and kept in communication. We would be happy to tour with EcoArt and Loreley again.
