you may want to bring a drink for the interval. If you are unfamiliar with the story it is quite simple and a quick 10 min internet read should help you.
some good solo/duet pieces and the pianist is great - but obviously you cannot expect the big chorus 60 piece orchestra you get in Covent Garden/la Scala . I think it was good enough to get opera beginners on that journey into immersion in a complete work of art, music, poetry and drama.

First off, let me say that the cast and musicians did a fine job. The performance in and of itself is well-executed. The venue, however, leaves a lot to be desired.
We attended on a warm (95 F) Rome day. Be warned that the church does not have air conditioning nor does it have any ventilation to speak of. My wife and I were fanning ourselves constantly throughout the performance with our programs and dripping sweat. We only made it through the 2nd Act. Note that the outside temperature was a good 15-20 degrees cooler by the end, but staff were unwilling, or unable to open the doors.
Also note that if you choose the cheaper seats, you will be in the very back of the church in folding chairs. These seats may be preferable to the hard pews, but they are first come, first served.
Overall, the experience was ok, but I would not recommend it if the weather is warm.

The opera was excellent! La Trav is my favorite and they did it justice. We got the vip seats and could see fine from the 4th row. The sound and singing was top notch! I was moved to tears a few times.

The singers and musicians were very good and the building was beautiful. It was a little warm, so would suggest a fan, but they did sell water. I would recommend getting a seat up front if you want to see the performance. We were in row 2, which was good.

It was hard to see the performers as there is no stage and we were all sitting on church pews. That said, the performance was good. Perhaps it might start a little earlier than 8.30 pm as we left before it finished due to being quite tired after a day sightseeing

About the visibility, the show is in a Church and not in a theatre so it's normal that not everyone see very well, for this reason there are 3 different categories of price.

The orchestra was fantastic. If you've never been to an opera, I would say this is a good start. It is performed in a church in the setting in the first four rows were church pews. We purchased the skip the line ticket, and when we arrived, they assured us past everyone standing in line to our seats.

Great acoustics in the church but the place was extremely hot. The stage is low and the seats are the same level so if you’re not tall it’s quite difficult to see everything. I read the synopsis prior to watching the opera and despite the fact that I didn’t understand a single word, I was still in the loop of what was going on. 😅

A lovely setting set in the heart of Rome that is perfect for opera. St Paul is a beautiful place and has the right acoustics for La Traviata. We were enthralled and entertained by both the singers and the musicians accompanying them. What an evening!

Beautiful location! Really beautiful church. Unfortunately, the acoustics were not great and it was incredibly difficult to see the performance due to the set up. We left after 45 minutes.

In fact, however, being the show in a church, a magnificent church as you also said, obviously the floor is not sloping as you are used to in the theater, for this reason the tickets further down have a low price because visibility is lower.

The overture, the brindisi and

Lovely venue and amazing singing. However we paid extra to sit on the front rows and we didn’t consider row 9 as being particularly near the front. Lots of people in front of us with their phones in the air recording the show, and we couldn’t really see properly. It was a shame because it would have been a lovely experience if we’d seen the opera rather than having just heard it.

But the show was in a Church built in 1873, as we inform in our advertising materials, so the sound it cannot be perfect like in a theatre built esclusively to listen concert or opera. We hope next time you will come to Rome you will have the possibility to see one of our show in a theatre, as it happened before the covid pandemic. Thank you.

Such a beautiful place to see such a moving piece of work. The performances were outstanding and were enhanced by sitting in such an incredible building. We booked front row seats and were essentially sitting on a bench on the 'stage'.

What a wonderful experience! We all very much enjoyed it! Even our 7 year old daughter sat throuh the whole thing and loved it! She said it was one of her favorite experiences in Rome.
If you're planning on going do not waste your money on cheaper seats! you will not be able to see anything! It is a church, so you sit on church benches and if you're all the way in the back it's wasted money. Get there early so you can get as close to the front as possible, since it's an open seating policy even if you get tickets to the A section.

Overall great and the church was very nice, the acoustics were good and the performers were fantastic. The only thing I wish was that I had picked a front seat. It was at a church and not really an Opera hall, so my view was obstructed and we had a hard time seeing the stage, but that did not take away for the great sound experience. This deal is a great value, I would definitely recommend it.
