Great way to start your trip in Rome! Good way to get your bearings and plan out rest of the trip. Lisa was very informative about the food and history of the areas we were in- yet personable and it felt like you were exploring the city with a friend. She gave us great recommendations for places to visit next and places to have dinner. Definitely come hungry- you get an amazing range of tastings. We were definitely stuffed by the end. She was good about breaking up the tour- with adequate water breaks and sit down meals in air conditioned restaurants- which was much needed on a day that reached 105 degrees.

Amin was a wonderful guide with fun facts, historical knowledge, and a great personality. We ate at family-owned restaurants and street food vendors. We had a wonderful time getting to know our guide Rose. She was very friendly and insightful. The food was excellent and we had a few food moments that we will go down in our family memories, specifically the fried fish was a highlight. The charcuterie tasting was awesome and the classic Roman meal in Trastevere was also excellent. Wine also flowed so no worries there! Totally recommended!

The Best Pasta Experience of Our Lives

This was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Nico welcomed us into his hometown and took us on a fascinating walking tour, sharing its history from the train station all the way to his family’s home, which has been in their family for generations. We learned about their family’s winemaking tradition and even explored the incredible underground tunnel system beneath the houses, where wine was once stored in ancient cellars. It was such a unique and authentic experience. The pasta-making class was fantastic. Nico and his cousin were warm, patient, and passionate teachers. We learned how to make four different types of fresh pasta and chose from four delicious sauces to pair with them. The meal at the end was simply unforgettable. With fresh truffle added on top, it was undoubtedly the best pasta I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a genuine, family-run Italian experience that combines history, culture, incredible food, and wonderful hospitality, I couldn’t recommend this experience more. Outstanding and high quality food tour

When it comes to food tours, this was the best culinary experience we have had so far in any country. The food and wine were really high end, starting with the aperitifos, which included different types of truffle items and 30 year basaltic vinegar. The stop for pizza had 4 different types for us to try at a place we’re locals go to get their pizza fix, and the dinner was at a restaurant with 2 courses. Finally dessert was at a top gelato place. 4 bottles of wine later and we were both tipsy and satiated. Chiara(sp) was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. This tour was all about the food…great facts, history, and culture.

What a fantastic experience. Myself, husband, sister and our 3 year old son were taken on this tour by Giancarlo and what an experience. We have had food tours in Italy before but this was by far the best. The food was amazing, the stops were educational but what made this tour stand out was the customer service. Giancarlo was not put off having a 3 year old on the tour and was his best friend by the time we had our Gelato! It wasn’t all about our son either, I told Giancarlo that I had just completed a history and classics degree and he went out of his way to make sure I got my fill off history as well as food. Wonderful food tour. Stefano was our guide and, while the food was wonderful, he was amazing! His knowledge of the area, history and food made the tour even more enjoyable.
