This was a great way to spend our first evening in Rome. Our guide, Orso, was extremely knowledgeable about everything not just the food. Everything was well organized and the food was excellent. A good cross section of every day foods.

This is a wonderful tour to book if you want to get to know this rich and interesting area in Rome. And if you luck out and get Vanessa as your guide, you will have a terrific experience. It’s not all about the food (but that, of course, is the star of the tour) it’s about getting to know the history and the culture of the region . And Vanessa is an expert who will enhance your experience with a lot of interesting information.

This was a standing street food experience which was not expected based on the price. Profit margin was enormous, since we saw all the prices. No napkins were offered , nor water (until asked), where our first stop required us to peel fruit with our hands. Next stop was eating with our hands standing. We then insisted on a table at the next stop, which seemed to be an imposition. Stay away. Also, our guide could not answer basic questions about the product offerings of the shops we went into. So disappointing.

As you know, this is a walking food tour, designed to let guests discover the city through authentic stops: local markets, traditional shops, and small producers. In this spirit, one of the highlights is tasting fresh seasonal fruit directly at the market. On this occasion, we enjoyed fresh figs therefore to peel and taste them with your hands.
Regarding comfort: I was not made aware of any back pain until we reached the Trapizzino stop. That said, every time a seat was available I made sure you could sit and rest, and I also invited you to let me know if you felt tired at any point. A walking tour does, of course, involve a certain amount of walking, but I always do my best to ensure that guests are comfortable whenever possible.
I regret that the tour did not fully meet your expectations, but I sincerely hope you can still appreciate the purpose: to give visitors an authentic taste of the city’s everyday flavors and traditions, even in their simplest and most genuine form.

Our guide Christian was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and made our tour fun and interesting. We did this tour in the afternoon having arrived in Rome that morning after a 24 hour flight. It was just the thing we needed. Saw lots but didn’t have to exert too much energy. Thoroughly recommend

Tour ended up being private with just my family of 4. It was a nice selection of food but felt a little weird because the guide was just watching us eat. Cheese & meat plate was so much food—that could have been a full meal in itself. The chicken trapezzino was amazing. Overall, a great way to start our short stay in Rome.

The suppli and the pasta were both good. However, the 3 of us on the tour were forced to choose 1 type of pasta so it could be split 3 ways. The pizza was average and the gelato was fine. We were told there would be 5 stops. Apparently, 1 of the stops was simply coffee, leaving virtually 4 stops. Bottom line is the tour cost $117.00 US and IMO, was worth maybe $50.

Dear Holly, we apologize that your experience wasn't as good as your expectations, we focus on providing the best local spots and places tò let you taste the different varities of italianized street food that Rome has tò offer. The pasta portion Is quite big, therefore we usually divide It in 3 and our guide provided you with different bowls in order not to share the same plate with others. The pizza Place Is the oldest Bakery in Trastevere which supplies most of the restaurants in the district and the gelateria Is a 40 year old family owned One, which stays true tò the tradition using only local products and without food colourings. Our tours are meant to start from savory tò sweet to appreciate fully all of the foods. We apologize and we Will make treasure of your comments.

Tiziana was delightful! We enjoyed her company and conversation as much as the treats. Walking around the area gave us a totally different feel than the typical tourist areas. Six different food stops and a nice variety of tastes. We recommend!

Our tour guide Silvia was excellent. She took us around the Trastevere neighborhood and we got to try a lot of different foods that she recommended. She was very friendly and she was very knowledgeable about the area, explaining to us all of the various sites that we were visiting and or passing. We felt like we were walking around with a friend. I would highly recommend this tour and with Silvia.

An absolutely enjoyable late afternoon tour. Our family of 5 appreciated the leisurely stroll through the scenic Trastevere while having the opportunity to try authentic Italian street food. The suppli was a hit with everyone, with one of the children asking if I could find it for him back home. The meats and cheeses at the deli were nicely paired with artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes. The stop at a pizzeria was filled with numerous choices that not only looked fantastic, but tasted great as well. The gelato at the end was divine. To be honest, we could not eat everything and left feeling full and happy.
