This was an absolute highlight of our trip! We had so much fun and it was such a beautiful area. All the staff was friendly, accommodating, and patient with us who have never made pasta before! Love that it’s a family owned business. Would recommend to anyone who goes to the real area and would love to be back sometime!

The host was very informative. I would recommend to anyone. It was great to see a perspective outside of Rome. Their family white wine was exceptional. She was very patient with the novice pasta makers. We Would give it 10 stars if we could

    Meeting and Pickup

    Meeting point

    • 00044 Frascati, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Italy

HOW TO FIND US AT FRASCATI STATION? Once you’ll arrive at Frascati Station, go out using the main exit door and you’ll see the FRASCATI SIGN at your right hand. Since there are few other tours in Frascati (operated by others) please wait for us just at the FRASCATI SIGN.

    End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

    What To Expect

Meet your pasta class hosts directly outside the Frascati train station for the scenic walk through the old town to a historic wine cellar, where you’ll relax over a tasting of Frascati Superiore DOCG and Vagnolo wines produced in their family vineyard.

After enjoying a selection of wines paired with local appetizers, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work preparing fresh pasta from scratch with the guidance of your chef instructor. Opt to prepare one of three classic Roman pasta dishes: cacio e pepe, carbonara; or amatriciana.

End your lesson with a sit-down dinner featuring the pasta you’ve prepared, served with local wines. After dinner, take a peek at the caves hidden below the wine cellar before the walk back to the train station.

Of a 2 week Italy vacation this was a favorite for our group. It was very easy to get to the village from the Rome train station. Niko was very informative about the history of the area. Making the pasta was soooo fun. The wine was delicious and so was the meal. Truly it was the best pasta I have ever had. Next time I’m in Rome I will definitely be booking this again!!

    Amazing activity

This was a fun and economical activity. The train ride from Roma Termini (30 minutes) was worth it. Be aware the platform in Rome for this particular train is at the very end of the platform so allow time! Our hosts met us at train station. We did a short walk to talk about history of the town then proceeded to the restaurant. We were introduced to 2 wines. Then had time to try them along with a small charcuterie plate. We then began the process of making pasta. There were 3 different sauces to choose from. At the end we visited the tunnel under the building which was used to store wine and also used during the war as bomb shelters. You can go ahead of time and visit the small town. Trains run every hour.

OK Frascati was more than a pleasant surprise!! 💖

It was an amazing experience to discover a quiant, charming little town up the hill with an overlooking view of Rome. Frascati is an hour away by train from the city center but it was worth every step and penny you would add on on top. This wine tasing and pasta making class tour was an awesome, one-of-a-kind experience best shared with your family or loved on--my partner and I sure did enjoy the hell out of this experience. Get dazzled by the charm of Frascati, qway from the hustle and bustle of Rome, and eat your handmade pasta from scratch. On top of it all, Rosi (one of the cousins running the tour/ business) was an amazing tour guide slash wine connoisseur slash pasta chef. Perfecto and delicioso! 😋🍷🍝

    Excellent experience

We had a great experience. It's a small family owned operation. The location is very close to the train station. Frascati is a really lovely little town and was a welcome change of pace from the chaos and crowds in Rome. The caves underground were a cool little educational bonus. But most importantly the food was delicious and we were emailed a list of ingredients so that we can practice what we learned later!

My husband and I booked this tour for our honeymoon! We had such an amazing experience. We left Rome through train and headed to our destination of Frascati. Upon arriving our tour guide welcomed us right outside of the terminal. After that she gave us a small tour of the city of Frascati! Next we walked to our destination which took about 5min. Upon arriving they greeted us with some wine and cheese! The tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable. She also gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was very interesting. Making the pasta was very fun and delicious! Overall a great experience.

    A Must Experience!

What a fun evening! We started the tour by learning some Frascati history, tasting some wines with meat and cheese to then making some delicious pasta. This is a family run business just a short trip out of the busy city of Rome and I couldn't recommend this experience enough!

Wonderful Frascati experience. Before the wine and food started our guide gave us a brief overview of the town and history. The pasta making was fun, informative and tasted very good. Recommend this with all my heart and stomach.

    The Most Enjoyable Pasta Class

    Tobie_A, Nov 2025
We booked this experience last minute on a day when we had nothing planned in Rome, and I’m so glad we did! It ended up being one of the most fun things we did on our trip. It’s a family-run business, and you can genuinely see the pride they take in what they do. We had an incredible time—they were knowledgeable, patient (especially with us English speakers), and made the whole experience so enjoyable. The pasta was amazing, and they really took their time teaching us. They also taught us about wine, and their family wine was absolutely delicious. I’d recommend this experience to anyone visiting Rome!

Very personalized trip. Great pasta and wine. The ladies were welcoming and made you feel part of the family

    Best cooking class ever!

    Kristi_S, Oct 2025
This class was absolutely fantastic! We booked it because we have several friends and family members who have also booked this class over the years and they spoke so highly of it. Now we know why. Rose was our guide. Her family owns the winery that operates this cooking class. She was so friendly and lovely. We learned so much about the wines in this region and we learned how to make amazing pasta! Frascati is such a quaint town and such a welcome break from the hustle of Rome. We’re so glad we took this class!

Perfect. My wife and two children (ages 9) had a wonderful experience. The town of Frascati is amazing and easy to get to from Rome via commuter train. We came in early and hung around afterwards to enjoy some food and beverage after the pasta making. From Scratch was great from the beginning. They met us at the train station, gave a quick tour of the town along with some history. We tasted a red and white wine from their vineyard, made the pasta, toured the cellar, and then we observed how to make the pasta dish itself. We also had the opportunity to purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy with our dinner. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this experience over something in Rome itself. It feels very authentic and personal even though we were with a few other people.

A lovely treat out of the business of Rome.

What a fabulous experience! The wine was beautiful, the food was delious. One of our group was gluten free and was able to make her own pasta too. We were also lucky to have a fabulous mix of people in our session.
