She had sure everyone had something they would love and you could tell how much she loved Rome. Highlight of our trip and we can’t wait to do it again, hopefully with Fabrizia :) Make sure you go to the tour hungry!

Don’t Miss It!

This was a wonderful opportunity for me to taste some of Rome’s delicious and unique food and desserts. I had a great time, even though I toured solo and the food, wine, and desserts were scrumptious! Also, Maria, (our tour guide) was very knowledgeable and friendly. She even called a taxi for me at the end of the tour. That said, I highly recommend this walking food tour. You will have a great time!

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! Our guests satisfaction is our main goal! All the best wishes from our team!

Delicious and informative food tour.

Andreea_H, Jul 2025
This is a wonderful walk through an area less known and less crowded. We got to taste 4 delicious pasta dishes in an old cellar, paired with wine of choice. We also tried traditional appetizers and desserts in various restaurants, overall getting to eat more food than we could. We also learned about the history of the jewish quarter and more. It was a wonderful start to our roman vacation.

Food wasn’t quite what was expected but the tour guide was great!

Vanessa_R, May 2025
Our tour guide Fabrizia was great. The food wasn’t brilliant as basically pasta and a Slice of pizza. So if you’re looking for culinary delights, this isn’t for you, There was a lot of information about the history of Rome.

Fabrizia was amazing!

Good choice for “Foodies”

Josephine_R, Apr 2025
Good variety and plenty of food. Not as much walking- everything was close in the area. Four hours was well spaced out with different choices and places

Great food and lots of history!

Samatha_B, Dec 2024
Make sure to check your emails/ messages. Our time and meeting location was changed. I acknowledge the change but forgot. I returned to the voucher which caused us to be late for the meeting point. The guide was great and waited on us. Our tour was great. We saw lots of historical areas in Rome and had dinner in an amazing restaurant.

We had Marco, such a great guide on Roman food. He was so friendly and very funny. The food spots were delicious and he gave us a list of recommendations at the end. Was well worth it

Yum yum

Adrienne_W, Oct 2024
The find the tour was confusing. I receive notice that Imy tour was being upgrade but I could not find that notice again anywhere so I went to the original start location. Luckily it was close enough I could get there but the guide was late so I still wasn't sure if I was in the right place. I was a little nervous about how the night was going to turn out, but it turned out good. Wonderful food.

Food tours are a great beginning when visiting a new city

Julene_E, Oct 2024
The guide and the food made for a wonderful experience. Greta gave an excellent narrative on the history Roma and the food we sampled.

Food was ok. Nothing special.

Brenden_J, Sep 2024
Our tour was cancelled at the last minute and full credit to Viator for arranging an alternative. I believe we went on Jewish ghetto one instead. The guide, Arianne, was fine however the food was a bit in the light side. I would have to stay it was just passable in terms of value for money

DELICIOUS

Roma at Night Food Tour

Roger_P, Aug 2024
Small group tour was fun and casual. Group was good mix for fun and great conversation . Tour guide loves Roman history and it showed in her presentation of the landmarks, back stories and of course the tasty dishes. Friendly demeanor of tour guide facilitated the open friendly atmosphere. Totally enjoyed the complete evening.

Dena_C, Mar 2024
We had a small’ish group so it made it more personable. Greta was very knowledgeable about the city’s history and she made it interesting. All of the food choices were phenomenal!

Great experience.

Sandra_V, Feb 2024
It was such a great experience. Maria was very knowledgeable in the history of the area. She was fabulous. We learned so much and ate great food. The group was so pleasant and fun.

Great Roman Guide

Deborah_K, Jan 2024
Maria was a great guide especially about the Roman culture and cuisine. However, this tour is not good value if you do not consume wine. To be clear, Maria was impressive as our guide and we would book her again on other sightseeing tours.

Great experience, mediocre food

ChristineAngela_C, Jan 2024
Overall, it was a good experience in that I walked away with knowledge that I didn't have before; however it still could have been better. First the highlights. Paola is very knowledgable and a great instructor. We made braised artichoke as an appetizer - learning how to properly clean, prepare and cook them, which was amazing as I had always wanted to do that with someone who knew how to do it properly. We also prepared three types of pastas (a stuffed, a long and gnocchi). Paola and her assistant walked through each of the steps and answered questions while making the experience engaging and fun. I really appreciated that there was wine flowing throughout and they weren't stingy with it. While the techniques and approach to preparing the food was great, I felt like the food itself fell short of expectations and it was one of my least favorite things I ate during my time in Rome. The food was under-seasoned and I felt like there was so much potential to make everything just a little better. They finished the food and plating for us, but it would have been better for everyone to finish their own plate. For example, we made a pomodoro sauce, which as explained, is the mother red sauce. From that it would have been very easy to give a few other ingredients to allow each person to turn it into one of the many Italian red sauces. The dessert was just chopped up persimmon, which felt like a missed opportunity and a disappointing ending. I understand the economics of the class, and as there were just 5 of us, I imagine they were trying to minimize costs, but still, food could have been better with just a minimal incremental investment in ingredients and a bit more autonomy over the final execution of the dishes. I would still recommend this class as a solid a learning experience and I am happy with the knowledge with which I walked away; however it did fall short of some of my expectations, especially in a city with such amazing food.

Amazing Experience!

Beth_U, Dec 2023
