Excellent tour

Jorge and Rodrigo couldn’t have been better guides. We had a large group with our children and parents. They were able to make each stop interesting and informative for all ages and were so kind to our kids, even carrying our little one when she got tired. We loved the stops along the coast and both castles we visited at Sintra were beautiful. Don’t skip the Quinta da Regaleira — it was so magical. The entire day went smoothly and our family had the best time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — One of the best decisions I made in Lisbon

I booked this as a solo traveler and honestly could not have asked for a better day trip. If you're debating whether to do Sintra and Cascais on your own vs. a tour, just book the tour, especially this one. Our guide (I believe her name was Puri) was absolutely fantastic. Super knowledgeable, engaging, and had a great sense of humor. What really set her apart was how she brought the history to life, not just dry facts, but quirky stories about the king who built Pena Palace, fun details about the exotic plants in the surrounding gardens, and little architectural secrets you'd completely miss on your own. She made the whole day feel like a conversation, not a lecture. We were a group of 6-7 people, well under the 8-person max, which made a huge difference. It felt personal, not like being herded around with a crowd. Puri was also flexible with the pace, which I appreciated. If you're going purely for the history and context, the timing is perfect. If you're more of a photographer who wants to linger at every angle, it can feel a little tight. But because the group was small, she was genuinely accommodating when people wanted a few extra minutes. I managed to get the best of both worlds. We had tickets included for Pena Park and the Palace, which I highly recommend springing for. The architecture is unlike anything I've ever seen and you could spend hours just looking at the details on the facade alone. Every corner has something going on. The surrounding park and gardens are equally impressive, and Puri's commentary on the plants and the history behind the estate elevated it from "wow, pretty" to actually understanding what you're looking at. Cabo da Roca was my personal highlight of the entire trip. Standing at the westernmost point of continental Europe with clear blue skies and the Atlantic stretching out in front of you is genuinely breathtaking. Best scenic view of the whole Lisbon region, in my opinion. One important note though: the terrain around the cliffs is rocky and can be slippery even on a clear day, so wear shoes with good grip. This is not the spot for sandals or sneakers with no traction. Come prepared and you'll be rewarded with some of the most stunning photos of your life. Cascais was a pleasant stop to close out the day. It's a cute, walkable seaside town and worth seeing, though an hour or two is plenty since it can feel a bit touristy and pricey. Good for a stroll and a coffee, but don't stress if you don't linger. Tips for anyone booking this: - Wear comfortable shoes since there's a solid amount of walking and a light uphill hike at the palace - Bring cash for souvenirs, lunch, and snacks along the way - Get the tickets included option, 100% worth it - Pack a light layer since even on a sunny day the cliffs can be windy Absolutely would recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon. Great value, incredible stops, and a guide who genuinely made the day memorable. Book it.

Our favorite day!

We had a fabulous day on our tour with Filipe! It was our favorite day of our trip. He is so kind and knowledgable and you can tell he really enjoys what he does! Our trip to Sintra and Cascais was beautiful, and Pena Palace was amazing but it was much more interesting knowing the history behind all the beauty. Filipe took us to lovely, scenic spots for a rest and photos- one of which wasn’t even on the itinerary. He showed us the best places to go for the historic treats and pastries, as well as his recommendations for his favorite lunch spots. We loved the whole trip and highly recommend this day tour. Filipe was the best! One note, make sure to book the tickets for Quinta da Regaleira early! The booking said to let the guide know by 2pm so we waited but they sold out days before the tour so we could only see the outside. Definitely let them know asap if you’re planning to go inside.

Great way to see the cities' highlights!

I joined the three cities tour to Óbidos, Nazaré, and Porto, and it turned out to be a really great experience—especially as a solo traveler. It’s a long day (about 12 hours), but that’s clearly stated when booking, so just come prepared. I’d recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing snacks. We left right on time at 8:00 AM and got back around 8:30 PM, with a quick bathroom stop on the way back to Lisbon. I loved all the places we visited. Of course, if I had more time in Portugal, I would definitely linger more. Óbidos was charming with its whitewashed walls, quaint medieval streets, bookstores, artisan shops, and of course the ginja tasting (cherry liquer served in edible chocolate cups). Nazaré was also beautiful, and it was great learning about how fishing shaped the town and its culture. Then in Porto, we had free time to explore and grab food on our own before meeting again for the walking tour. Tip: Try to find a café with ready-to-eat food instead of one where you have to order and wait—you’ll make the most of your limited time and feel less rushed. Walking through Porto’s buildings and narrow alleys and crossing the iconic bridge was quite an experience. Overall, I thought this tour was great value for money and a really enjoyable learning experience. I didn’t quite catch the tour guide’s name, but he was very helpful and took the time to answer questions and share more details for those who were interested. Also, shoutout to Fabio for getting us safely to and from each destination. Highly recommend if you’re looking to see multiple cities in one day!

A beautiful day for a tour

Mario and our driver did a superb job! Clear directions and suggestions at each stop. We scheduled too late to get tickets for Peña Palace but there was so much to see in the gardens and grounds that we filled our time. The lunch suggestion and gelato were delicious. We commend our driver on his maneuvering thru the streets. We definitely feel it was worth every cent!

The tour guide was great, A++ for Anil and the sights I did get to see were great however this is not a tour for anyone with mobility issues. Even when told there was only a little walking it was much more than I was led to believe. I was unable to get to one palace because of uneven ground and all uphill. I stumbled as soon as I got off the shuttle that takes you only about halfway up. If you're able to comfortably walk it is a great tour and the guide had so much great information.
