Itinerary
Meet a guide at your Lisbon-area hotel (if upgrade has been selected) or a central meeting point for an early departure, then begin the trip from Lisbon to Fátima. Upon arrival at the Fátima Sanctuary, start with a short tour of the sanctuary and an explanation of the events of 1917.
Following the orientation, enjoy independent time to visit the area—depending on timing, it may be possible to attend a mass at the Fátima Sanctuary. See the Chapel of the Apparitions, which marks the precise place where Mary is said to have appeared to the three children, and take in the two grand basilicas, the neo-Baroque Our Lady of the Rosary, and the more modern Holy Trinity Basilica.
After your time in Fátima, head to the nearby town of Aljustrel to see the homes of Francisco, Jacinta Marto, and Lucia, where their simple, rural lives have been faithfully reconstructed using period pieces.
This tour concludes with the return trip to Lisbon and drop-off in the city center, close to public transit, restaurants, and some of the city's top destinations.

Great experience! This was an informative tour about the apparition of the Blessed Virgin to three children in 1918. This tour helped me understand about this event and its ramifications throughout the world!

We had a great time on our trip to Fatima. We did the small-group Fatima Sanctuary and Shepherds' Village tour from Lisbon. Our tour guide, Andre, arrived on time at 8 am. The van was clean and very comfortable.
The trip to Fatima from Lisbon was about an hour and a half. We first went to the Shepherd's Village, and we enjoyed how Andre showed us around and gave us the history of the three shepherd children who saw the apparition. We had time to shop, and then we went to the sanctuary and attended a live mass at 11 am. After mass, we bought and lit some candles and then went to the basilica. At the basilica, we saw the tombs of the three shepherd children and had an opportunity to see a matrimonial service, which was very special!
Our tour guide, Andre, was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He just graduated from college with a degree in tourism, and I know he will do a great job with all of his tours! We hope we will return to Portugal and do the Tomar tour with Andre because he knows so much about Portugal and its history. It was a perfect trip, and we highly recommend it for anyone interested in going to Fatima for a half day!

Once in a lifetime experience. We chose the half day tour for our 50th Aniversary!
The tour quide, unfortunately I forgot his name, was very knowledgeable about this specific tour and the history surrounding it. Kept us engaged the entire time to and from the site.
Plenty of free time to look and explore.

Our guide seemed very inexperienced in giving tours, from the poor driving to the lack of content during the tour. She seemed very unprepared and not that all interested in Fátima. Maybe it was a poor fit for this guide for this tour? We had several tours while in Portugal with other tour companies that were excellent. This did not even compare. We had a great time with tour guide Alex! He was very knowledgeable and professional! We were able to attend mass and had sufficient free time to explore on our own. The ride was comfortable with air conditioning. Would recommend bringing food/snacks as there were no food vendors in the area. Plenty of opportunities for bathroom breaks!

If you have a great tour guide who can manage the group, you have a great trip. We had Joao as our guide. He was cheerful, informed , helpful and attentive, he made the drive enjoyable and the trip memorable! He was always available to help out, and even went the extra mile to show us an area that everyone had heard about , but was not in the information brochure. We had a wonderful day! Filipe was an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of Lisbon and Sinta was exceptional. We all learned a lot and had a wonderful time. His tour of the Pena Castle added so much than just doing it on your own. At the other sites, he made sure we had the information to enjoy on own own. Definitely would recommend this tour and ask for Filipe.

Rui was an exceptional tour guide. He was helpful, informative, and always responsive. At the end of the tour, he gave us some great recommendations, which we definitely appreciated. Nice way to tour this site on your own. Our trip started at 8:00 am. Make sure you pack your own snacks/breakfast bc everything is closed and open later. Easy to get to meeting point. Knowledge guide but we couldn’t hear him in the third row of the van.
