The sights were great. The Pena Palace is difficult walk for anyone with mobility challenges. But definitely worth the views

You are completely right—due to its historic architecture and hilltop location, the grounds around Pena Palace can indeed be physically demanding for guests with mobility challenges. While the topography of Sintra is unfortunately out of our control, we always do our best to assist and guide our guests through the easiest routes possible.

We had a very nice tour with Alex. He picked us up promptly in the morning. Considering we were his third tour ever, he was very knowledgable and informative. The tour itself was interesting. We started along the coast and finished at Pena Palace. Our guide was very informative and helpful during this tour.

Tour itinerary was good but just a hassle to find out we had to buy the entrance ticket in the morning when the tour guide pick us up, it quite stressful due to poor internet connection. Wish they told us a day before so we could take care at the hotel with wifi instead we wasted an hour getting the tickets.

This is the most important thing for us.
We regret that you rated our service 3 stars simply because your mobile phone had a poor internet connection and you were unable to purchase tickets, even though we explained all the ways to buy tickets at the beginning of the tour.
Since you had difficulties buying tickets for Quinta da Regaleira online, we bought them online ourselves and sent them to you.
This process only took 10 minutes, never 60 minutes as you mentioned, and did not affect the tour.
The important thing is that we resolved your internet connection problem.
We can never inform you the day before to buy tickets online because we can never predict which slot Time will be available for the visit, as it is a group tour.
At the beginning of the tour, in the presence of everyone, we inform them of the available slots for visits and organize the tour so that there are no delays or time spent queuing to buy tickets.
We have never had any complaints about this aspect.
Excellent Tour. Got to see many areas in one day. Our guide Philip was very knowledgeable. Never miss an opportunity to see the Pena Palace.

We were looking forward to seeing the gardens at Regaleira but it was not explained to us that this was an option and not included in the official tour. We were not given any free time when we could have done this. The guide actually inferred that one shouldn't go there. We did not get to Sintra Palace until late in the afternoon and we had to leave our walk around early in order to catch the last bus down the hill. It was a very good day in some respects but we felt misled regarding Regaleira.
The dropoff location was not the same as pickup. That led to problems with Uber. My phone battery then died. Extremely stressful. We were not made aware of the diffrrent dropoff till we were picked up.

Drop off at 2 very central locations in Lisbon :
Praça Marquês de Pombal and Restauradores Square. Many Metro/Taxi/Uber/Buses options availables from these 2 locations. Great locations to have dinner or explore Lisbon.
Fantastic trip. Felipe was a knowledgeable, friendly and amazing tour guide.
From the beginning of our trip to the end of it, he was an open book and always happy to answer any questions and to give us tips.

Well arranged tour with personal touch and service. Pick up was arranged from the hotel , so very convienient and no need to rush with early breakfast etc. Driver was also performing as a guide and on the van's back was not always easy to hear him speaking.

It was great! Our tour guide, Orlando, was so warm & full of wonderful stories! It was a perfect day. If you like to solo explore with some guidance this tour is for you. I recommend booking in advance and figuring out the timeline because you do a lot of driving.

Orlando our driver/guide checked all the boxes for us. He provided a ton of history. So knowledgeable, above and beyond expected. Tickets weren’t available for the palaces, however it gave us more free time in Sintra and Cascais, which we loved. Orlando provided 2 lunch suggestions in Cascais. The Portuguese seafood and rice was superb. Definitely hit the spot. Our final location, although windy truly made you feel like you had reached the end of the world. Spectacular views. Windy and sandy, but so glad we experienced it.

Overall, this tour was very good. Our guide was local, knowledgable, and friendly. The order of the tour was to go to Cascais first, then Cabo da Roca, Quinta da Regaleira, and lastly the Pena Palace. Unfortunately, when we arrived at Pena Palace we were turned away at the gate. Our guide had us buy entrance tickets to Quinta da Regaleira early in the day but not for Pena Palace. It seems in recent days he was able to buy tickets to the grounds/gardens of the palace on the spot at the entrance. However, when we arrived, there were no more tickets for the day. The guide was very apologetic and took us to another palace in its place which was also lovely, but we were disappointed that we got so close to Pena and got turned away. I think the guide was sincerely surprised and likely changed his approach for his next tours, so I would still recommend it.

You're absolutely right — in the days prior, it was possible to purchase entrance tickets to the grounds at the gate, and unfortunately, the availability changed unexpectedly on the day of your visit. Because the park was closed due to bad weather and storms in the previous days in Lisbon.
We completely understand your disappointment, especially being so close and not able to enter.

A wonderful trip! However, if you're visiting in February, be prepared for cooler temperatures, especially in the higher areas of Sintra Palace - bringing a warm layer is a good idea. This was a great tour and Orlando was an amazing guide! We really enjoyed exploring Sintra on our own and we loved the Pena Palace tour because of the knowledge Orlando could share with us. We also toured the National Palace on our own and enjoyed that very much as well but felt a bit rushed trying to do that AND see the town in the time we were allowed. We got to Cascais early so most shops were not open yet so we didn’t get to see much of that but the water view was beautiful.

The private tour was a memorable one for my family (especially the kids) due to the excellent guide Mr. Pedro. He was very informative and paced the itinerary very well so that we get to cover the attractions at the best possible times. The pick-up was on time and due to the excellent planning we reached back to the hotel as scheduled. We had a fantastic time covering Sintra, Pena Palace and Cascais with getting good insights as well into the country's history and cultural aspects. Highly recommend this tour from Celina Tours (if possible with Mr. Pedro as the guide) as its absolutely worth every penny spent.

When booking this, triple check the weather and fire warnings as we did not get to see most of the sites due to fire closures. While this is not in the tour operator's control, by the time we were notified it was too late to cancel. Orlando, our tour guide, did his best to adapt to the circumstances, taking us to other locations that were open when we were unable to see the full sights of Sintra and the surrounding areas. Did get to spend a wonderful afternoon in Sintra, enjoying the shops, restaurants, scenery, and general ambience.

Pedro was the most friendly, informative, and delightful guide we have the pleasure of being driven by. Please give him a raise.
Avoid the Celina tour group. The worst tour we have been on. Driver kept getting lost and stalling the vehicle and even got pulled over by the cops. The tour states all you will see but there isn’t enough time. The driver even said that in the beginning. We were rushed at the end at Pena Palace. This was so bad we almost took an Uber from Sintra.

Let's now explain how Kerry only told lies about the Guide
Yes, the police stopped the Guide, simply to give directions and suggestions on how to get to Palacio da Pena because there were streets closed to traffic due to the work being carried out in Vila de Sintra.
When KERRY said you wanted to spend 2 hours visiting Cascais and 3 hours visiting the center of Sintra. The Guide informed that it was a group tour and you should respect the Itinerary, and told you If you spent 2 hours in Cascais and 3 hours in Sintra there would be no time to visit the monuments
Yes, you had to hurry inside the Pena Palace because KERRY did not respect the information inside the Pena Palace and it was the security guard inside the PENA Palace who had to hurry so as not to disturb other tourists' visits
The tour was comfortable and well informed. Our guide was very kind and helpful. We had a great time and was able to see all the sights that we wanted. Pena castle was a highlight.

Pedro is one of the best tour guides I have come across. He was very informative and knows the history of Portugal at the back of his hands. He engaged very well with the group and was punctual. The places we went to were interesting and scenic. It was a weekend, so rather crowded. We did not get the tickets to Regaleira as the queue was too long but if you have time, it is worth the wait. Pena Palace was awesome and Cabo Roca was breathtaking.. I highly recommend this tour and a bonus if you get Pedro as your guide!! Thumbs up!!
