Joao (John) was an excellent guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and had lots of recommendations for our remaining trip. We had a quick tour of Sintra, then Quinta da Regaleira where we really enjoyed the Initiation Well, caves, and lush gardens. John then took us to the coast and Cape Roca Lighthouse for incredible views. Told us about Azenhas do Mar Restaurante and the viewpoint and beach there. We decided to have dinner there, which turned out to be the best meal we have had on our trip! Great views of the Atlantic too. Highly recommend this private tour guide and leave the driving to John! You won't be disappointed!

This is a great tour for those who know Lisbon but who would like to see the highlights outside the city.
We were a private tour for 4 in a clean and comfortable SUV. Nuno was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, speaking perfect English and was very flexible about timing. Our tour ended up lasting about 6 and a half hours from pick up at our cruise ship to return there in the evening.
Sintra is stunning and unlike anywhere else we have been - and we have travelled a great deal! We thoroughly recommend both the tour, the company and Nuno. We had a great day on land!

We had an amazing time with Nuno because he knew the best way for us to have the best experience by taking it in the Back way Sintra We’d love the gardens and spent a little time in the castle, but really enjoyed our walk around the gardens, then he took us to a lovely café for some pastries that were local to Sintra and then on our way back we went to Peña, which was quite beautiful and he spoke of the history of Lisbon. I knew much about the surrounding area that made it very educational and wonderful experience. We strongly recommend this tour.

We booked this tour very last minute and had Nuno for the day. Not having done our research as well as we should have we had no idea what to expect. Nuno arrived on time having given us good communication through WhatsApp,

If you’ve got the time in Lisbon and wish to have a carefree day out of the city…this was a great choice. Excellent views of the multiple palaces. We purchased the Pena palace external tour of the palace and gardens for a closer look. We avoided the long lines to the internal rooms. The trip to the coastal cliffs was also beautiful.

Nuno is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and he shared so many interesting facts and stories along the way that really enriched our experience. He tailored the day to fit what we wanted—stopping at one beautiful palace in Sintra, taking in stunning views along the coast, and ending our day in the charming town of Cascais. We stopped at a local winery. He even recommended a fantastic local spot for tapas in cascais that we loved!

Tour guide Nuno was amazing. His knowledge of history of Portugal really brought the trip alive. He also was very knowledgeable about the local sights with great recommendations on food and activities. Nuno helped to minimize wait times and avoid crowds. Brilliant day even though we had to fight rainy conditions.

Lots of traffic in Sintra however it’s a big hilly place and transportation from tha train station area to the varies places is required

We thank you for your review, however we find it unfair that your complaint has nothing to do with the quality of our services or with the guide or the tour itself.
Sintra is a very popular and turistic place, so of course traffic is always going to be a problem that we all face in the region, especially when you are yourself part of the problem for bringing in a rental car to an area that is already overloaded.
Just something to consider for your next travels.

I highly recommend this tour! If you're on the fence, just do it. The flexible pickup time was why we booked, but it turned out to be even better than expected. Nuno was our guide and he was so great! The palace and estate we saw was Quinta da Regaleira and it was so beautiful. We didnt feel rushed at all and ended up utilizing all of our time that we didnt think we would. Don't forget to buy your ticket separately - totally worth it!

Incredibly knowledgeable tour guide. John was so helpful: he knew so much about the history and local culture. He gave us great insights into what to see and the story as to why it was important.
