Our guide, Nuno, was excellent and very knowledgeable about all aspects of Portugal. We enjoyed his sense of humor and all of the suggestions he gave us for making the most of our time in each site.
Pena Palace and our walk through the gardens was amazing. Sintra is a charming town and we only wish we had more time to explore.
It was great to be able to customize our tour for the 6 in our group and Nuno was very accommodating of our preferences and needs.
Definitely recommend this tour.

We booked a 5 hour tour, and had time to see the grounds of Pena Palace and enjoy some pastries in Sintra. Our guide Nuno was wonderful, and was able answer all our questions about the history of Portugal, as well as describing the highlights of Sintra. I would highly recommend the full day tour if you have time!

Very knowledgeable tour guide, went beyond scheduled time to accommodate us driving past Guincho Beach which we asked to see on way back to hotel. If you have a scheduled tour planned this day like we did for Quinta da Regaleira you need to account for travel time and traffic so you’re not rushed

Absolutely the best tour guide we have had on a 14 day Mediterranean Cruise. Joao Salvador Cunha went above and beyond for an incredible journey through Sintra and the coast. Private tour just my wife and I and a very reasonable price. Unlike other tours where you receive 20 minutes free time to walk around, Joao gave us two hours to tour the Biester Estate and grounds and the town of Sintra. The estate tour is fairly new and the tourists don’t flock there. Self guided tour and you feel like you’re the only ones there. It was the 5 hour half day tour where we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Lisbon. Ask for Joao to be your driver/guide; the best choice you will ever make for a tour!!

Nuno was an incredible tour guide! He knew all the best places to stop, and gave us great recommendations throughout the day. We visited the Palace of Pena and the Palace of Monserrate, and we had plenty of time to explore the town for lunch and shopping. Nuno made several stops on the way back to Lisbon as well so we could see Cascais and some other cool spots. Overall we loved this tour, highly recommend!!

Nuno made our outing extra special with all the details—how to access the palace with the shortest wait time, the best photo opportunity for the Moor castle, how to order our pastry and enjoy it in the palace garden in Sintra, etc. The list is too long. He has a wealth of historical knowledge and is very personable. We definitely think it was worth the splurge.

Sintra was beautiful. The palaces and fort are amazing. The history is so interesting and the area beautiful. Be prepared to walk on uneven terrain. The town is a mixture of quaint and historic, and very friendly. The pastries are excellent and regional food delicious, but what really made the trip was our guide, Nomo. His knowledge of history, ecology and the area was very impressive. He was a great guide and very patient. Highly recommend him.

Mini gave us great advice on which activity was best for our group. He knew we weren’t interested in crowds, so the majority of our time was at a less traveled castle with beautiful gardens.

Joao (John) was an excellent guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and had lots of recommendations for our remaining trip. We had a quick tour of Sintra, then Quinta da Regaleira where we really enjoyed the Initiation Well, caves, and lush gardens. John then took us to the coast and Cape Roca Lighthouse for incredible views. Told us about Azenhas do Mar Restaurante and the viewpoint and beach there. We decided to have dinner there, which turned out to be the best meal we have had on our trip! Great views of the Atlantic too. Highly recommend this private tour guide and leave the driving to John! You won't be disappointed!

This is a great tour for those who know Lisbon but who would like to see the highlights outside the city.
We were a private tour for 4 in a clean and comfortable SUV. Nuno was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, speaking perfect English and was very flexible about timing. Our tour ended up lasting about 6 and a half hours from pick up at our cruise ship to return there in the evening.
Sintra is stunning and unlike anywhere else we have been - and we have travelled a great deal! We thoroughly recommend both the tour, the company and Nuno. We had a great day on land!

We had an amazing time with Nuno because he knew the best way for us to have the best experience by taking it in the Back way Sintra We’d love the gardens and spent a little time in the castle, but really enjoyed our walk around the gardens, then he took us to a lovely café for some pastries that were local to Sintra and then on our way back we went to Peña, which was quite beautiful and he spoke of the history of Lisbon. I knew much about the surrounding area that made it very educational and wonderful experience. We strongly recommend this tour.
