Overall found Lanetours to lack customer service. We arrived 15 minutes before pick up time and saw the Lanetours flag. There were multiple tours in multiple languages leaving from the same spot. The Lanetours people had their backs turned and made no eye contact with the growing crowd. Eventually at 8, they gave some instruction divvying up the crowd. We finally boarded the bus at 8:30, made another stop to pick up more people and we were off to Fatima (sort of). The bus was clearly having problems. The problems continued for the day, with no acknowledgement by the guides that we were having problems. In all, what was advertised as a 9 hour day turned in to a 12 hour day with close to 2/3 time on the bus. I am not sure our time at the stops was not cut short (didn’t match times in itinerary) due to the poor condition of the bus.

I took a tour to Fátima, Nazaré, and the surrounding areas. The places themselves are beautiful and definitely worth visiting.
However, the overall experience with this tour was disappointing. The guides were rude from the beginning (we arrived just 5 minutes late) and continued treating us poorly throughout the day. The tour is conducted in five languages at the same time, which makes it very repetitive and tiring. Also, the guide who was supposed to speak Spanish mostly spoke Portuguese, making it hard to understand.
We were also given very little time at each stop, everything felt rushed. On top of that, many of the initial stops (for food and souvenirs) felt like tourist traps—more expensive, lower quality, and even misleading compared to what you can find at the actual sites.
In Nazaré, we were first taken to an overpriced, empty restaurant not even by the sea, which likely caused some people to miss the main highlight.
Overall, the destinations are amazing, but the organization and guides really take away from the experience. I would not recommend this tour.

Lane Tours provided this day trip. For the most part, they were efficient and friendly. Our group of about 25 required four different languages which, while impressive to hear, resulted in fewer details and history about the places we visited. The time spent in Fatima and Nazare was more than sufficient but we would have liked more time in Obidos as we only had an hour there before returning to Lisbon. All in all, we felt the tour was money well spent.

Tour was great but guide did not interact with group. We scheduled for an English tour but most of the information was in Portuguese and very little English.

We have enjoyed the tour. It was very well organized. Everything was on time and convenient. We have had a chance to visit unique historical sites. The tour guide Nestor was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to address your question. The sites themselves were amazing, and I’m glad I went. However, the tour organization was a major issue.
The website advertises a 10-hour tour starting at 8:00 AM, but once we got on the bus, we were told we wouldn’t return until 7:30 PM—making it an 11.5-hour day. We ended up getting back even later.
There were also delays along the way, including waiting about 20 minutes at one stop while the driver was off taking a break during our scheduled pickup time.
Overall, the experience would have been much better with more accurate timing and clearer expectations, especially since people plan their entire day around these tours. I’d recommend looking into other operators.

We were concerned it would be “all day” and boring but it moves quickly and our guide André was absolutely perfect! He was so informative and made sure the entire bus was attended to and very helpful along the way. We have teens and this adventure moved quickly that even they stayed engaged. If you want to linger and shop and “lollygag” this is not the tour for you. However you will have time and opportunities to shop for souvenirs, cafe and snacks along the way! Highly recommend as a full day adventure outside of Liabon. An absolute MUST for any Catholic.

This is a good tour but we were hoping to have some information provided to us as to where we were and what we were seeing. That did not happen. It was basically a nice bus drive to each location with no additional information provided. It would have been preferred to have some relevant facts and information provided to us along the way. Not much point in having a guide if they are really just there for making sure you are on the bus and to count to see if everybody is on the bus. Beautiful destinations but a rather weak tour.

The bus and the guides are fine. Our guide gave out instructions and descriptions in 4 different languages, which was pretty impressive. The guides mostly just drop you off at the locations and you tour yourself. They do not do a proper guided tour at any point in the four stops.
Fatima is impressive, but we spent too much time there. First we had to stop at a store that sold religious gifts and light snacks. That was 40 minutes. Then we went to the church for 90 minutes. That was also overkill on the timeline we had for the day. The square in front of the church is huge, much larger than St. Peter's in Rome, and the church itself cannot live up to that. It is modern, nice, but lacks the interest of the Gothic Church in Batalha.
The stop in Batalha was pretty quick - only 30 minutes. The Gothic Cathedral is really far more interesting and impressive than the modern one in Fatima. I felt short-changed.
The stop in Nazare is really fun. We stopped at a local restaurant with whom the guides clearly have another "arrangement" with (if you have been on other tours, you know what I am saying), but it was totally worth it. The food was outstanding and the price was fair. Then it was off to the cliffs and old fort of Nazare. The waves were not their mid-December monstrous selves, but it was impressive to see nonetheless. The cliffs are intimidating too. My suggestion is to take a TukTuk ride back up the hill -- only 2 Euro per person and gives you more time to view the waves or shop back in the village.
Obidos is a really neat site, but we wasted so much time at Fatima that I felt short-changed. The old fortress is mostly intact and you can wander the streets and the walls on your own. I really enjoyed it. My two complaints were: 1. We only had an hour to visit such a big site. 2. The place is filled with so many little shops that it feels more like Disney than a medieval fortress town. Try the sour cherry liqueur in the chocolate cup. It's pretty unique.
Overall, the tour is weak on "guiding", but strong on locations and views. I didn't mind that. You might want more guidance.

The tour was great; we visited 4 must see places! It was well timed.
We were very disappointed in the “preferred recommended restaurant”. It was too small too rushed for a group our size. Some people didn’t even go into the restaurant. We did not know there were other options until after we ate. The food was premium price too expensive. We had items on our bill that were not ours! I think there was a hidden service charge. Five bowls of soup two beer and three glasses of green wine was €60. Tourist trap. It was the first time in two weeks of travelling and dining that we felt ripped off and taken advantage of as tourist in a restaurant.

The places were fine, we signed up for an English tour. We were put on a combine English and Portuguese tour. Mario altered bak and forth between the 2 languages which took up a lot more of our time. We had way too much time at most stops. We had to wait at least an extra 1/2 hour after we saw everything and just wait for the others. When we signed up for the tour, had I known they would put 2 languages together we would not have gone. The locations were good, Nazare and Obidos were my 2 favorites.

Overall it is a good value considering you travel a lot for the day, but that being said. It's a large group, meaning you can't necessarily spend more or less time when people on your bus delay you. Luckily it was not a problem during our tour, but there were no assigned seats. A lot of rude people talked over the guide when they spoke and they had to cover 4 languages for announcements. There's not enough time in Obidos, but again you see a lot for what you pay. Don't expect minute by minute guides tour. You might rely on your own guides before you visit if you want to know more. Also there is wifi on the bus, but they didn't tell us until hours after the tour had started. Ask for it when you get on

Be on time for the bus!!! Don’t hold the tour up at every stop. Take lots of photos. Listen to the tour guides as they are full of historic information Gui and Nelson are the best, knowledgeable, personable guides who shared their love of Portugal with us.

The Tour had two guides - one who spoke in English and Portuguese and the other in Spanish and French. Knowing a little bit of French - would say the French guide was much better and our English guide barely told us anything about the stops. Good thing I can understand French. That being said - it was well priced and covered lots of ground in one day and the tour guides did not rush the tour despite being stuck in traffic on the way out due to an accident on the highway. The “reserved” lunch restaurant was a little overwhelmed so I would suggest to others to find their own lunch spot on the beach - we should have done that. Obidos was our favourite stop (1 hour) and Nazaré was also nice. Not one of the best tours we have been on but ok if you are just expecting a bus ride between stops

This is the second tour that we took with this company from Lisbon. Our guide did not explain anything. For example, when we arrived at Batalha, he simply said "this is the monastery. It is closed because of the storms. You have 20 minutes here". I also felt that there were totally unnecessary stops to promote specific businesses. We detoured and stopped for coffee and souvenirs right before arriving in Fatima when there were many coffee and souvenir shops just outside the church. Our guide said we are going to a fishing village to have lunch. It was a highly commercialized tourist town. He just showed one restaurant and said you can have lunch here when there were at least 20 other restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance. The tour company was also confused about our pick-up location. When I selected pick-up location 2, they called us from location 1 and asked where we were. By far this is the worst Viator tour experience I've had after completing at least 12 Viator tours. . Places that we visited were awesome, it just was not a good tour.

Our 3 days disaster trip of flight cancellation was really so distressing and frustrating , yet this Lisbon tour has made it worth a trip to take. in-spite of tiredness and not enough good sleep we had a great and awesome experience.
