Its a very cold damp area, dress accordingly. Alcatraz has a dark history. It was my wife's choice to go, I would have chosen not to go because of the cold.

DO NOT order tickets online!!!! This app up charged me almost $100 what the ticket booth at Alcatraz charges!
The Alcatraz trip was great I just recommend buying tickets when you get there. It’s $59 for adults and $29 for kids.

Loved the excursion but I wouldn't get this package again . It comes with a lunch credit on the fisherman's warf good at only one selected restaurant and they didn't accept or recognize the food voucher so I don't feel we got what we payed for .

We send in hundred of IHOPs a year. We reviewed the CC TV transaction footage and you clearly presented the cashier your Viator receipt.
You did not present the actual IHOP voucher we sent in your email with the credentials at the bottom.

Excellent tour of Alcatraz. Left punctual, got the trolley bus from the pier up to the prison and walked back down. Had a very interesting time touring round the prison. Audio was easy to follow and very informative. Walked back down the hill and went in and out of the other attractions. A huge queue to get back to mainland but everyone got on the boat.
Only downside was one working ladies toilet at the top of the hill with no toilet paper. You would think with the money they make from the fees charged they could improve the toilet facilities

If you have difficulty walking up the hill catch the ride. Some of the merchandise aprons are cheaper here than in town great story in the prison cells don’t miss it

Awful customer service. I had booked 2 tickets for the tour and upon arrival they had asked to see our IDs they said our names did not match to the name on the ticket and we were told that they buy tickets and resell them. After contacting the third party seller I was met with hostility and blunt messages not even related to our issue. When I had asked them what to do moving forward since we weren’t allowed to go on our tour and our vacation was nearing an end they did not respond.

You were late. Plain and simple. They denied you entry and you came calling us to make things right. We sent you a message the day before and said "warning be on time!".
Had you have went to the ticket gate with the exact tickets we sent you and been on time you would have been on the island.
We were not rude. We were honest. You were late and wanted a refund. Sorry.

Of how crucial and freezing cold it must have been for the prisoners and the guards at Alcatraz back then when the prison was up & running, just thinking of how awful it was? It is really heart breaking....

This is basically a resale ticket of Alcatraz inside tour.
If you could not book the tour through official website, this is the way to go.
Remember that you cannot pick tour time, you are paying almost twice the price, and food voucher is not very useful.
However, you CAN tour Alcatraz when you try to book it last minute.

I really liked learning about all the famous inmates. I just wish I could've gone to see Al Capone's cell. I asked a lady where it was, and she told me the number. I found it and took pictures. But there was no picture of him which I was disappointed about. But other then that I had a great time exploring. After two hours I had to leave because I was so hungry! Thank you!

I was Leary to book being afraid of being scammed but this was 100% legit and was exactly what it says it was! A little more than we wanted to spend but that’s what we get for not booking ahead. We booked this two days before we visited.

We were extremely happy with our trip!!! It was a last minute booking (a day before the actual trip) as everything else was sold out.
Got our spot time the same day - 2:15pm. Recommend saving ferry times for your convenience. You have to make it in time for your ferry, but can leave the island any time afterwards. It was super windy and cold, but the prison itself was super cool and audio guide was like a full guided tour, super easy to use and didn’t need anything else.
I wish there was the Behind the Scenes option for las minute booking as well!
Read the description carefully and you won’t be disappointed ;)

Too many flies and bird sh** everywhere. The smell was horrible. We stayed for a short time, then left. Takes 40 minutes to get there and another 40 back.
