Be aware that there are masses of flies on the ferry ride over...at least on the ferry we took. We tried sitting outside but that didn't help much but it was better. Alcatraz was a great experience though!

Perfect tour for a short visit. We got to see so much in one day. My kids liked the bus tour and we took the morning ride to Alcatraz so we had the whole day ahead of us.

I wish I could rate these separately. Tour of Alcatraz 5 stars, audio tour made it well worth it. Hop on off bus tour was a flop, anything famous that you might want to see was a few blocks down and to the right or left but never something that we drove past. The hop on off tour was a waste of time.

It was very stressful initially you made an error in our booking and sent confirmation of the booking for 2 and not 3. The bus company didn't recognise the QR code.
Then you sent a 3rd ticket through for the wrong trip! We were delayed on the phone and nearly missed our alloted time to travel! Not the best experience!!!

Terrible services and excuses by a manager…stating they were having issues due to so many new employees…why blame them verses stating they were not trained appropriately.
We were not able to do the hop on hop off and would like a refund for three.

The trip was good the Viator ticketing was a disaster the scan code didn't work and the Hop on and Hop off people weren't helpful we first had to go to the Big bus off office for a manual ticket near pier 41 and the to the Alcatraz ticket office for that manual ticket we spent 3hours and a lot of walking to get it straight out the pdf ticket emailed was blank and the phone number given isn't answered

Underwhelming. Not much of anything. We left within 30 minutes. Wouldn’t advise attending if you are going to see more on al capone or any other inmates virtually nothing on them.

Bus tour took us all around San Francisco and gave us great views of the city. Alcatraz was a highlight to see what the hype was all about.

The hop on hop off bus was cool but took us about an hour to get on because every bus that passed by was already full. We had to walk a couple blocks to another stop and there was a long line where we waited about 30 minutes to get on. We wanted to experience this on the second floor of the bus but we couldn’t wait any longer so
We just got on the first level. Not the same experience. After a few people got off we were able to go on tbe 2nd level.

It was very cold and windy. Alcatraz itself and the prison were very interesting and worthwhile. The bay is usually covered with fog but it cleared up enough to make some great pictures.

The Big Bus costs $50 the Alcatraz trip $40 so tour company really makes money on this deal. We paid for 4 tickets and got 3 so had to go through big explanation at ferry. When we got off Alcatraz at 6:30 the Big Bus was no longer running so we couldn't use our vouchers. We are going to Big Bus ticket counter to see if they can be used today.

It was an amazing experience to ride on the top of a double deck bus over the Golden Gate Bridge. The other sites and audio tour were a great way to become familiar with the area.

The tour was correct!
Cheer up by:
•the ferry (and the crew)
•the view
•the rangers on site
Disappointed by:
•the front desk person Pier 33 was rude
•no lockers/shelf/closet for our 2 tiny suitcases which were not allowed onboard. (with a 168$ ticket, we need you to provide solutions)
•the theater was out of order
•the prison need more mise en scene, you need to maintain the legacy.
Conclusion: it’s fun but not fantastic. For the future, please, make sure your customers can be cared by your company.

Was a good overview of the city. Better instructions needed when booking online regarding where to go to find your nearest pick up stop, and how to get your tickets for the Alcatraz Ferry and where to get on.

Had great smooth boat ride to Alcatraz on April 22, 2022. The History of the island during the period of the native, the civil war era & during the time it became a prison. It’s a great tourist attraction a must see , especially on one side you can see the bay bridge & on the other side you can see the Golden Gate Bridge & in the middle is the view of the city . The main attraction is a must visit.

We had a wonderful time, the only thing was on the bus the audio did not work. So we did not hear anything about the actual tour of the city. Very disappointed. We did tell someone at union square but he didn’t do anything about it. Very disappointed after paying as much as we did.

The actual tours were great. That fact that I paid 168 and was told 930 am was the only available time for tours that are about $90 retail and run ALL DAY. That just soured the experience for me. I don't mind a mark up but a 90% premium is ridiculous to me.
