- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional form of insurance similar to rental car insurance that limits your liability in case of accident. It is non-refundable. If you opt to purchase the CDW your deposit for rented a GoCar is only USD$300.00 instead of USD$500.00
- Wheelchair accessible
- GoCar’s hold a maximum of 2 people. Prices are per GoCar - not per person.
- Can you cross the Golden Gate Bridge? No, but the tour will navigate you to Fort Point. Here the bridge soars about 200-feet above your head. It is possible to gain pedestrian access to the bridge span from the car park at the bridge vantage point.
- Service animals allowed
- All renters must be able to read, understand and sign a liability release and waiver form (standard participant agreement)
- Near public transportation
- Yes, you set your own pace. The car always knows where you are and you can park anywhere you want (motorcycle parking or car parking) for as long as you want, and as soon as you start to drive again, the car will begin to talk!
- Are controlled with a motorcycle-style handle, throttle, and hand brakes. The 3-wheeled cars seat two and have a lockable trunk for your things. Their small size makes parking a breeze, and in San Francisco - a major bonus!
- On the day of rental, a $500 security deposit will be held on the customer’s credit card. If a CDW or SLI insurance plan is selected, a $300 security deposit will be held. The security deposit is released when the GoCar is returned.
- For the safety and comfort of passengers the maximum height is 6'4" (1.9m) and maximum combined weight of 500 lbs (226.8 kg) for two passengers
- Transportation is wheelchair accessible
- Surfaces are wheelchair accessible
- Passengers must be 4 years of age or older - and small children must safely fit into one of our DOT approved helmets. The GoCar is registered as a motorcycle - but a motorcycle license is not required to operate the vehicle.
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Foreign language options are available in French, Spanish, Italian and German
- Note that drivers in San Francisco do not typically drive fast, therefore an average speed of 30-mph or less can be expected while driving.
- Driver must be 21 years or older to rent and must provide a major credit card and valid driver’s license at the time of check-in. A driver’s license must be in the customer’s physical possession (no photocopy). For foreign customer’s, an international license is not necessary.

The staff were amazingly helpful and kind. I'm not techy. I couldn't get the GPS audio to work. I swung back around to request help. They were extremely apologetic and quickly identified and fixed the issue. The issue was I'm an idiot and didn't know where the volume toggle was located.
I highly recommend the 3 or 4 hour package. It takes you all over the City. It was fun, exciting, and absolutely worth it.

One of the best ways to see San Francisco we were able to tour at our leisure stop for small bite even do some shopping, but the car was so much fun to drive. We had to flip a coin.

It was a great experience. We had an absolutely wonderful time cruising through San Fran and seeing all the highlights of the city, except for the noise from the car.

Honestly the highlight of our trip! We rented two cars for our family of 4 (2 adults, 10 year, 7 year) Everyone had a great time! We ended up extending our 2 hours to 3 hours since everyone was having such fun.

Actually really fun and informative. This is for 2 hours but you can and should go longer. You can extend to see more of the city and find places to go back to.

We were very exited about this experience. The person with whom we did the paperwork, showed us the map and "explained" what route to take, how to follow the GPS, etc. Then another guy showed us what to push to start the car, how to accelerate/reduce the speed. He did that in less than a minute. So, we started our "journey" in beasty streets of SF with almost no knowledge of how to break, avoiding accidents several times. After 15 min. the GPS started acting crazy. First it disappeared, then gave delayed orders, such as "turn right" when we were in the far left lane and there was a divider we couldn't drive over. Then GPS disappeared again. We were lost. We called the number provided to us for emergency situations like this. No one was answering the phone(??). Called the office, same luck. I though let's get back with the direction given by WAZE. Of course it took us to freeway. We sopped at the freeway entrance and turned the car manually. After about 50 min. of hassle we were able to speak with someone. Thank god she gave us very clear directions to get back to office. The excuse of young lady at the office was " yeah, GPS sometimes fails"(????)

We had a nice time and it was fun however if you want to make the most out of it. You need to rent the Go Car all day. We ran into a detour and lost our way a little on the way back. The GPS should tell you how to get back on track. Other than that, I recommend it!

Rented two cars…broke down- go car couldn’t refund due to booking through viator. Waiting for viator to refund. Also had to spend 50.00 on an Uber from where we broke down. To get back to the shop.

We rented 2 cars for the 2 hour tour and had a great time. The cars we had were a bit beat up, but fun nonetheless. The guided GPS navigation and city highlights was amazing and really made the ride enjoyable. Recommend!

Super cute experience, easy to follow directions, great to do on a nice day out. The tour gives the tourist the control which is nice. Definitely recommend for a fun time in San Francisco!!

Such a great way to cover a lot of the city! It was easy to drive and got us around quickly. The guided tour was perfect, we did the 2 hr tour and saw a lot, I wish we had time for the 3hr since it goes through golden gate park! I will definitely do this in other cities too! So so fun!

Seeing everything from a go car rather than being in a bus or personal vehicle was so much fun. I loved that the historical facts were prompted by your gps location. Driving down Lombard Street was an awesome experience. Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge From the base of the bridge was fantastic.
