- A dress code is required to enter the selected places of worship and museums. Shorts and sleeveless tops are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may be refused entry if you do not comply with these dress requirements.
- Travelers with a disability card do not need to purchase tickets.
- Please be aware that access to the Sistine Chapel is subject to Vatican regulations and ceremonies. The Vatican Museums may decide to close the Sistine Chapel on short notice for official events or religious proceedings. In the event of any unexpected developments, we are unable to foresee or control these closures in advance. However, your ticket will still grant you full access to the Vatican Museums.

Without a doubt the only way to go Our guide was so knowledgeable that alone was worth the price, but when we saw the lines we zipped right past and weren’t stuck standing in the warm sunshine my wife was elated. We added the Basilica on the day of the tour and were pleased that we did.

This was an excellent way to visit the Vatican - the team in the office were excellent and communicated well. Our was great she explained everything and took us to our queue and took us inside.

Our visit to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica was extremely well organized from start to finish. After meeting the guide and picking up the stickers, we didn’t wait long to enter, which was a big plus.
Fred was an excellent guide. Even while we were waiting in line, he shared fascinating stories about the history of the Vatican and Rome. What made it special was that he didn’t just list historical facts – he explained everything in a very engaging, easy-to-follow way that made the information memorable and interesting.
Inside the Vatican Museums, he guided us smoothly through the highlights without unnecessary delays, spending more time only on the areas he considered most important. His explanations of the statues, artworks, their symbolism, meaning, value, and creation were vivid and easy to understand. He also made sure everyone in the group was involved, encouraged questions, and answered everything patiently.
A big highlight was his introduction to the Sistine Chapel, which he did before entering the museum. Thanks to this, when we finally arrived there, we could simply enjoy the view in silence and fully absorb the beauty.
In St. Peter’s Basilica, Fred shared many interesting fun facts about its construction, explained where everything is located, and talked about historical and scientific facts related to St. Peter’s tomb.
Highly recommended tour, and special thanks to Fred – an amazing guide who truly elevated the entire experience!

Inside out Italy review
We booked our noon tour the morning of- aka SUPER last minute, and are so glad we did!!
First of all, it’s the literal Vatican… if you’re not prepared for the chaos, the crowds, and the heat, that’s on you. Be prepared… show up to the office early, bring a water bottle, maybe a snack, wear good shoes, sunscreen, a hat.
Our tour guide (whose name we didn't get but he’s in my photos!) was engaging, knowledgeable, and kept the group moving. He did a great job adapting- when we got bottlenecked by other groups, he would share additional info about sculptures or art we otherwise might’ve missed. We were able to upgrade our tour for 10€ each to continue onto the Basilica after the Sistine Chapel, which was totally worth it!! We were able to skip the long lines into the Basilica instead of having to go back outside.
Overall, great experience with Inside Out Italy and our (name??) tour guide- well worth the money!

Just Wow! Abigail was hands down the best tour guide our family has ever experienced. We have 3 girls 13, 12, and 9 and it takes a lot to keep them engaged for 3 hrs walking through a museum - but she did it.
From the stories of Ancient Rome, to the scandals and revenge paintings of the Renaissance - Abigail made it fun and relatable.
We loved it so much, we booked her for a new site on the spot. If she is free, don’t waste time. Book it and it will be the highlight of your trip.

Giovanni really makes the tour very enjoyable…with so many things to see, he made it very interesting and entertaining. The museum is large and 1 day is not enough so with the proper guide, he knew how to give us the most detail in the allotted time and then we can go off after and continue on our own. Great experience overall!!!

The vendor sent me a message via whatsApp (which i do not use and was not a form
of communication they indicated I should monitor) less than 2 hours before our tour time that they were changing our entrance time by 1 hour. We had bought the tickets for a specific entry time more than a month prior. We had to sit in their awful lobby for an hour and farm they didn’t have our tickets.

Being able to skip the very long lines to get into the Vatican was well worth the premium price. Our “guide” was quite familiar with the various entry lines and procedures, and quickly moved everyone through the multiple checkpoints. Once inside, we were all on our own to explore as we wished, without time constraints. The Vatican is a magnificent place. One can wander through the museum galleries at a leisurely pace, or zip through to get to the Sistine Chapel. Note: St. Peter’s Basilica is not part of this route, and is open to the public via a separate queue outside, which can be quite long.

The Vatican museum was amazing! So much history and art!
It is quite a hike up to the entrance and my husband has bad ankles. Once we were in the in the line and through security our very nice (new) guide noticed and directed us to the elevator so we wouldn’t have to go up yet one more flight of stairs to begin the actual tour! Thanks you!!

They charged us $50 pp and then gave us paper tickets that stated that the cost was $25 pp. They gave us semi-instructions… basically what we already know. “No pictures” and “walk here”.

Here is why this tour offered value— because terrible rain and an uncooperative. Uber driver caused us to run behind schedule, this tour operator adjusted our reservation.
in essence, you meet at their office, and a helpful, cheerful guide takes you about half a block away, up a flight of stairs, and another block or two of walking to put you in line. The guide stays with you until you are in the museum. Thus there is a resource to interface with the Vatican museum staff, using fluent Italian. The guide does not stay with you, and this was quite clear from the information we had about the tour. We were not expecting the guy to stay. So this provides logistics value. It is worth it on that account.
The absolute deluge of rain that we encountered, according to the guide, causes things to move slower because many of the tickets get wet and cannot be barcode red as easily as they should be.
finally, when they say it takes 25 to 30 minutes to clear security, what they mean is that the “skip the line, “means that you will wait in line for about 25 to 30 minutes. This is a skip the line because the line for others with no reservation is much longer.

Great tour, very experienced and passionate guide, entry was guaranteed and we get skip the line! We went during new years so apparently people were waiting up to 3 hours if you went on the day, but we went thru within maybe 15mins. They take you thru a detailed tour of the beautiful Vatican museum, giving detailed explanations of everything and the the stunning Sistine chapel. Well worth the trip!

Did not notify or disclose of early closure of the Sistine Chapel on the listing when purchasing the tickets - and the whole reason we bought the tickets was to see the Sistine Chapel but didn’t even get to see it - VERY disappointing and complete waste of time and money.

I couldn't imagine wanting to wait in the line. Time is money and this is an economical value, because your time is precious. This was the perfect method. Our tour guide was impeccable and spoke many languages including flawless English and beautiful Italian. We breezed in as a group after a bit of a walk from the meeting spot. We were then free to roam. There will be walking! As far as what we saw...I am still processing the scale and soul of it all in my heart...most amazing place I've seen.

I thought this tour included the Basilica as well as the Museum and Sistine Chapel. Our guide arrived late and because we were running late we could not tour the Basilica It closed at 7 and didn't admit anyone after 6pm. I believe I over paid for this tour. The guide rushed through many parts of the Museum.

We were given a ticket for the Vatican museum and it took 20 mins to enter the museum. Then we had to go thru the entire museum (1-2 hours) to get to the Sistine Chapel. I would not consider this skip the line.

I was already overseas when received e-mail for tickets couldn't access tickets only had the booking confirmation no one could help tourist information or other agencies so by time we had tried everything it was 5 minutes after booking time did not get to do the tour, very disappointed.
