Take the tour!

This was my third tour of Vatican / Sistine Chapel. I learned more on this tour and the two previous combined. Fred is an archaeologist, and he spoke for the entire three hours, nonstop, providing an unbelievable amount of historical, religious, societal, and cultural information. I would never see anything this important without a guide. You will be missing a lot of really important information, plus standing in line for hours. Five stars. Came with friends, family, daughter and husband. All were happy!

Great Tour except for angry Karen’s

08 April 2026 - The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and especially the Colosseum. I learned a bunch of information that I wouldn’t have ever found out if I did a self guided tour. Unfortunately there were two American women who got lost from the group which we had to wait 10 minutes for. They went full Karen at the tour guide and tried to say she didn’t wait for them. Despite others in the group telling them we all had to wait the Karen’s decided to flip the guide off. Despite that it was very enjoyable.

Great tour to do if you want a small group and to skip the long long line!!

I just wanted to share how much we enjoyed our skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. I especially appreciated the concise instructions we received before the tour, as well as the thoughtful call on the day of our visit to confirm our attendance. Our guide, Valerio, truly made the experience memorable. Lively, considerate, and inclusive, Valerio effortlessly drew us into the rich history of each site with engaging stories and fascinating insights. He made sure everyone felt welcome and involved, which really set the tone for the day. Having seen how long the lines were, we were so grateful to have booked with ViaTour. Expensive, but saves hours of queueing

It was the busiest period of the year (Easter wknd) but we got into the Vatican 10 minutes before schedule with the tour group. Yes, this costs 2.5x more than a standard ticket, but we queued with our tour guide for a maximum of 10 minutes vs standing in the 100+ meter queue for hours for the individual tickets. Instructions about collecting tickets beforehand were a bit poor, but a phone call clarified things.

Don’t miss this!!

We toured the gallery with grandparents, parent and kids. It was amazing…a must see!! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and wove stories around the statues and paintings. An extremely beautiful building filled with unique art pieces. After the tour we ate in the cafeteria. I highly recommend this stop as well. Very tasty food!

The tour company was great, found them easily got our tickets… gave very good directions, and we headed off to the museum to meet our tour guide, but the Vatican was completely full and very unsafe as far as maximum capacity… Nothing to do with this company specifically the Vatican is at fault but we did enjoy the tour and the guides were great.

Super easy to book and meet the guide in front of the Caffe Vaticano right across from the entrance lines to the museums. Get there early to grab a coffee. This is not a guided tour, but you can download audio guides to listen to while you walk through the museums and Sistine Chapel.

Awesome Colosseum and Roman Forum.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. I recieved my tickets through the app and walked straight into the Colosseum within about 5 mins. The Colosseum does not disappoint. The Roman forum and Palatine Hill is amazingly beautiful, we could have explored all day. Didn't use the audio guide, simply because its not how I like to explore. But I'm sure it would have been great.

Our tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with Olesea was fantastic. As an art history teacher, she brought an incredible depth of knowledge to the tour and explained the history of these sites in a way that was both fascinating and easy to understand. What made the experience even better was her personality. She added just the right amount of humor and a bit of sarcasm, which made the tour especially engaging and enjoyable.
