Touring with Elizabeth

If you are lucky enough to get Elizabeth as your tour director, you have one the food tour lottery. I never have. I had a Guide like Elizabeth. She talked about the history of the area as well as the food that made this history. She offered us some recipes for the food we ate and emailed them to us, which was very nice. She took pictures of us at different places, many people in the restaurants told us we were so fortunate that Elizabeth was our tour guide. They all said she was the best and we were in agreement. We have taken food tours before and they are always the best. Kudos to Elizabeth.

Being able to move at my own pace made the experience much more enjoyable. This is not just a tour or historic sites. You are walking through a story of the revolution, in chronological order. He goes off and on the trail, walking you through a timeline of events. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the subject matter. If you want a real understanding of the American Revolution, this is your tour! If you want theatrics to entertain small children, I would not choose this tour. I learned SO MUCH. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that values having a history professor teach you vs a guy doing silly voices in costume. It was phenomenal.

We really enjoyed this tour! Have to give the credit to our guide, James Otis, who was funny, informative and kept the group together and having fun the entire time. As much as I enjoy a history tour, they can sometimes become boring after some time, but my husband, 21yr old son and I all agreed this is the best one one we've taken thanks to Mr. Otis. Would go again and definitely recommend.

Loved but spread the alumni mentions

It was a spectacular day at Harvard. It was a “chamber of commerce” day. Soli, our tour guide, was fun, clear and knowledgeable. The pace was great and the inside detail was fun. The campus and its history were so impressive. As a constructive criticism, don’t use tech-bro billionaires as representative alumni (mentioned more than once). There are so many other exceptional alumni you could mention. I would’ve relished one Obama or Ketanji Brown Jackson over multiple Zuckerberg mentions.
