I won’t lie … I was initially put off because Anthony was a bit late; however, once he arrived and started about why he does that … we had a great time. Anthony was everything you’d want in a politically inappropriate tour guide! His knowledge of the area was great.

It was a genuinely amazing tour of Bostons North End, loved being guided by such a witty local. Anthony/Flash was an absolute hoot, but not only that he was incredibly courteous to us all and very accommodating. The type of guy that 100% deserves all these glowing reviews.
The food was all very authentic and delicious, I was so full by the end of it I thought I’d have the roll back home!

Go hungry! Lots of great stops with a real local. Engaging and knowledgeable with fun interactions with the businesses owners and locals on the street too! Fun food tour!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you Tricia for reviewing Boston’s Politically Incorrect food tour . Being a local makes my tour extra fun because of all the people from the neighborhood interact with the tour . Some tell us to f**k off but all in good fun😀 Many food tours in this neighborhood but not from any born and raised locals. Some transplant hired by a big corporate food tour company is what those tours all are . They have no inside information because all they have is what they read on wikipedia not living it .

Like getting a tour from your Archie Bunker dad, knows the neighborhood, has fun stories and great food stops. The man has personality. Was a great way to spend an afternoon!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for reviewing Boston’s Politically Incorrect North End Food tour . Being born and raised here I love to tell my guest stories that I lived through not read it on wikipedia and then decide to tell my guest. That’s what all the other food tours are . There are no locals besides me and one other person that do these food tours . Appreciate the personality comment . 😀

Fantastic tour!!! The food and history was amazing. We hit the real local spots you won’t find with traditional tourist recommendations. We are still full the next day and would do it again & again!

We enjoyed our time on the politically incorrect food-tour. The guide was funny and informative, gave a great history lesson of Boston North end along with his perspective on evolution of the neighborhood since Italian immigrants migrated in the last century to the present day. Anthony was funny with his perspective, providing an unfiltered look at how the Neighborhood evolved.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Boston. Anthony did not disappoint! He took us to great places with excellent food! He grew up in the area and is a wealth of knowledge. Loved this guy!

Anthony, “Flash,” is a great local guide who really knows the North End. His “salty” language and gruff persona, as well as his expert knowledge of the North End are what you’re paying for… It’s a fun and informative 3 hours of storytelling and great food!
Alexia_H, Mar 2026
Anthony is nothing less than a character and a gem! Absolutely LOVED this tour. Worth every penny. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE book! Screw off, Flash! 😂
William_C, Mar 2026

If you’re looking to taste your way through the historic heart of Boston, you absolutely have to book the Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour with Anthony. As a local who knows every cobblestone and kitchen, Anthony brings a level of authenticity and wit that makes the afternoon feel less like a tour and more like hanging out with a well-connected friend. We started off strong with massive, savory Italian subs and slices of traditional pizza that perfectly balanced a crispy crust with fresh toppings. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Anthony led us to a hidden gem for what was easily the best ravioli I’ve ever tasted—pillowy, fresh, and authentically handmade.
The experience only ramped up as we moved into the sweeter side of the neighborhood. We sampled an array of legendary Italian pastries, but the real showstopper was the affogato. It was the absolute best I’ve ever had, featuring velvety gelato drowned in a shot of espresso that was pure liquid gold. To top it all off, we shared some crisp, refreshing limoncello while Anthony shared stories of the neighborhood’s history. It was the perfect blend of local culture, high energy, and incredible flavors. If you go, make sure you show up hungry!
Stacy_F, Mar 2026
Anthony was great, engaging and entertaining. Best Italian sub!. The Affogato was a great way to end the tour. It was absolutely delicious.

A lot of fun - not much walking so good for older folks - delicious food with multiple stops to refresh
Debra_M, Feb 2026
Like a good tomato sauce, Anthony’s tour of the North End has the right balance of flavors. There’s a dash of salt, but it never dominates. He’s a kind host who guided our group on a well organized trek through local history and an outstanding tasting menu.
christine_h, Feb 2026
Tour and food were awesome! Would definitely recommend! Loved learning about the history of the North End.
Pam_B, Feb 2026
This tour was great!! Having a native of the neighborhood show us around, share personal, irreverent anecdotes and feed us super delicious food in places we’d have never found on our own was amazing. We visited some really cool places and sampled several dishes I’d never even heard of before and excellent renditions of dishes we already knew & loved. Anthony was fun and funny. I’d do this tour again in a heartbeat!
Christian_H, Feb 2026
Very informative, great food!! Anthony is terrific, funny, and knows so much about the area. The food was terrific! Definitely recommend!
Sarah_O, Feb 2026
Totally fun food and history tour of Little Italy. Not a ton of walking but lots of laughs and some amazingly delicious food. Anthony was funny and entertaining.
Arian_A, Feb 2026
Fun touristy thing to do regardless if you live here or just visiting. Even though it was cold Anthony catered to us being in the stops more and made sure we were all comfortable
Kenneth_S, Jan 2026
It was a blast. The stories and banter were the best part of the tour. His humor and honesty was refreshing and we were laughing throughout the tour. The food was very good and a nice cross section of the north end.
Jill_H, Jan 2026
The tour began with 30 people standing around wondering where the tour guide was. Enter stage right ——Anthony smoking, carrying his cup of coffee, attitude and all. WHAT AN ENTRANCE! I soon realized that this food tour was going to be like no other. We laughed our way through five fabulous stops. My group loved the food and loved the banter! Anthony clearly has the gift of gab! We learned so much about his neighborhood so rich with history! We drawn in with his easy manner, and sharp and somewhat politically incorrect banter! Want to eat hood food learn history and go to a great comedy show… go on Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour! Anthony you should definitely take your show on the road!
marilyna, Jan 2026
We had a great time in spite of the rain. The food was delicious and the pace of the tour was relaxed-gave plenty of time to enjoy our food. Great food choices!!
Linda_L, Jan 2026
You will learn the Northend’s history from a true cranky old Boston Italian. As well as enjoy meeting others in the group and filling up on what these 5 square blocks has to offer.
Nel_Y, Dec 2025
Anthony the guide, is definitely a no-nonsense local. Don't expect the typical politically correct tour/guide so if you're easily offended, you should consider a different tour. Be aware he does arrive a few minutes late & that's part of the experience. Food is good but if you take the tour on a Sunday, be aware that some places may be closed so there could be a substitue.
