Over 30 people in group. Guide had no microphone. He grew up in the area, what was giving good insider Still, I would not do recommend this tour.

Best ever tour guide! Loved his knowledge as a local who was born and raised in this historical area! Kept us laughing, stuffed full of food and enthralled in all the “facts” he gave us! Probably the best tour ever!! He swears, he smokes, he is politically incorrect and he is awesome! Missed his calling as a stand up comedian!!

Anthony is the real thing..authentic, unplugged, and unapologetic. In his own words, "the uncle you don't invite to parties but you love to hang out with in private"
Kaitlyn_R, Sep 2026
It was a blast! The food was great and he wasn't lying when he took us to the best red sauce I've ever had!! We ended going to 3 of the places again for food and drink!

Go hungry, there's plenty to eat from the start. Toilet stops along the way Galleria Umberto (pizza and arancini) and at L'osteria Restaurante (ravioli). Anthony is a fantastic guy who loves this area of Boston where he grew up. He tells amazing stories and really doesn't swear that much - not offensive at all. A real insight into the area with excellent recommendations for restaurants, cafes and bars. Do not miss this trip!

amazing tour filled with awesome stories of growing up in the North End! Regardless of what he says, you have to be real soft to be offended by anything he says, who doesn’t throw around a few F bombs once in awhile? The food was delicious and we felt like locals, not to mention we left stuffed just like any good Italian would. Highly recommend this tour!!!
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you for the great review.
I’m glad you enjoyed the tour. I love sharing stories of what it was like growing up in a small Italian neighborhood and how it’s changed over time.
And of course sharing delicious food from some of the North Ends hidden gems.

Lots of fun. The guide is knowledgeable and entertaining. Lots of yummy food. The tour is on flat ground so still easy for more limited walkers.

The food was terrible, but it was slightly entertaining if you like hearing a lot of f bombs.
The only thing I liked was the lemon ice. Otherwise very forgetful.

Wow, it’s usually the other way around, the guide was terrible but the food was great.

Had difficulty finding the address. I both called and texted to get help. No answer. Then I texted to find out the second stop to see if I could find that. No response. A better meet up location is needed. I asked 2 other tour directors on tours I took throughout the week and no one knew this starting address.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
You couldn’t find the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street? lol
The tours guides you spoke to definitely weren’t locals.
But thanks for the 1 star review for a tour you didn’t take

Be warned! Lol It is just as it says - “politically incorrect “ so it’s on purpose. Anthony aka “Flash” is a great guide - great food - VAST amount of food - literally almost cannot eat it all. Highly recommend. We will do it again!

If you want to learn about local history and eat amazing food, this is a must-do! The guide can be a bit shocking at first—he swears a LOT and always has a cigarette in his mouth—but he is incredibly fun. Give him a chance and you will love the experience!

This was a great tour. Our guide was incredibly informative and pretty amusing. I will stress that this is a politically incorrect tour. So pay attention to the description. If you are easily offended by language you should probably choose something else. But I thought it was great. The food was good. Completely different from a previous food tour we went on in the North End a few year’s earlier.

Pace yourself! There's quite a bit of food compared to some other food tours that I've been on. Be prepared for some coarse language. He starts out pretty rough, but after you're on the tour with him for a while he seems to forget and doesn't keep it up incessantly. If you are a bit of a snowflake about such things try a different tour.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
You’re right, I don’t want snowflakes on the tour! Lol

Anthony is genuine and true to himself. He brought us back in time before everyone had to be „politically correct“. A taste of Boston North End when it was Italian at its best.
My niece and I loved the entire experience. I recommend it to anyone that doesn’t mind a bit of colorful language, however it is the best way to become part of the neighborhood.
It was fun and informative.

Anthony is politically incorrect - in the best way. You get authentic history from a guide who’s lived it, knows the neighborhood and the people in it. The tour name tells you what you need to know, ie i wouldn’t recommended for children or those who are offended with foul language. For everyone else - sign up for this tour and get a tour and a taste thru Bostons north end. There’s lots to eat so don’t eat breakfast! I highly recommend - a really enjoyable experience!
Christine_S, Aug 2026
Lots of fun! Food was very good and guide was entertaining - good history - stories about the area and food.
Stefan_A, Aug 2026
Flash is a great tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable of his hometown neighborhood. The food he had for us to sample was delicious!
